  • In this paper we prove common fixed point theorems for four mappings, under the condition of weakly compatible mappings in Menger spaces, without taking any function continuous. We improve results of [A common fixed point theorem for three mappings on Menger spaces. Math. Japan. 34 (1989), no. 6, 919-923], [On common fixed point theorems of compatible mappings in Menger spaces. Demonstratio Math. 31 (1998), no. 3, 537-546].

  • In common fixed point problems in metric spaces several versions of weak commutativity have been considered. Mappings which are not compatible have also been discussed in common fixed point problems. Here we consider common fixed point problems of non-compatible and R-weakly commuting mappings in probabilistic semimetric spaces with the help of a control function. This work is in line with research in probabilistic fixed point theory using control functions. Further we support our results by examples.

  • In this paper, we give definitions for common limit in the range property of mappings and obtain common fixed point theorem for a pair of weakly compatible functions in intuitionistic fuzzy metric space using the joint common limit in the range property of mappings(shortly, (JCLR) property). Our results improve and generalize results of Chauhan et al[1].

  • Coupled fixed point results have attracted much attention among the researchers in recent times specially in the field of fuzzy metric spaces. In this paper we established a coupled fixed point result for weakly compatible mappings in G-fuzzy metric spaces. We have deduced a corollary to our main theorem. Our result also supported by examples.

  • In this paper, we prove common fixed point theorems for six weakly compatible mappings in G-fuzzy metric spaces introduced by Sun and Yang [16] which is actually generalization of G-metric spaces. G-metric spaces coined by Mustafa and Sims [13]. The paper concerns our sustained efforts for the materialization of G-fuzzy metric spaces and their properties. We also exercise the concept of symmetric G-fuzzy metric space, 𝜙-function and weakly compatible mappings. The results present in this paper generalize the well-known comparable results in the literature. We justify our results by suitable examples. Some applications are also given in support of our results.

  • A general common fixed point theorem for two pairs of weakly compatible mappings using an implicit function is proved without any continuity requirement which generalizes the result due to Popa [20, Theorem 3]. In process, several previously known results due to Fisher, Kannan, Jeong and Rhoades, Imdad and Ali, Imdad and Khan, Khan, Shahzad and others are derived as special cases. Some related results and illustrative examples are also discussed. As an application of our main result, we prove an existence theorem for the solution of simultaneous Hammerstein type integral equations.

  • In this paper we establish two common fixed point theorems in fuzzy metric spaces. These theorems are generalisations of the Banach contraction mapping principle and the Kannan's fixed point theorem respectively in fuzzy metric spaces. Our result is also supported by examples.
