The Role of Functional and Playful Experiential Value on the Intention to Use ChatGPT (사용자가 인지하는 기능적, 유희적 경험가치가 챗GPT의 재사용 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • ChatGPT, a generative artificial intelligence(AI) technology that analyzes conversations to identify users' intentions and generates responses in consideration of the context of the conversation, is attracting attention from a user interface (UI) perspective that it can provide information through natural conversations with users. This study examined the effect of functional and playful values experienced by early users of ChatGPT on reuse intention and verified the structural relationship between technological efficacy, experiential values, and reuse intention. To verify the research model and hypotheses, a survey was conducted on college students who used ChatGPT for the first time. A total of 156 responses were received and 154 responses were used for analysis. As a result, both the functional experiential value and playful experiential value in the initial use process had significant effects on the intention to use ChatGPT. In addition, it was found that technological efficiency had a significant effect on functional and playful experiential values.

A Case Study on the Students' Attitude toward User-Created Contents in Discretionary Classes of Elementary School (UCC 활용교육에 관한 학습자 태도 연구 - 초등학교 재량교육 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • User-created content(UCC) is on the rapid increase both in terms of quantity and the quality of sharing and enjoying each others. However, not much research has been done on school's adoption of this innovative contents for educational purposes. The aim of this case study is to identify the determinants of students' attitude toward using UCC in elementary school classes. This study employs the perceived educational value, ease of use, social influence, fun, computer self-efficacy, cooperativity and concentration as the antecedents of attitude, and collected 246 survey responses from 5th and 6th grade students. The results indicate that the perceived educational value, ease of use and socal influence have significant impact on the attitude toward using UCC. It was also found that the cooperativity, fun and ease of use determine the level of perceived educational value, and that the computer self-efficacy, fun and concentration influence the perceived ease of use. Some useful suggestions, concerning the utilizing UCC for educational purpose in elementary school classes, are also presented.

The Value of Ecosystem Services based on Land Use in Shinangun, Jeonnam, Korea (전남 신안군의 토지이용에 따른 생태계서비스 가치와 지속가능한 활용방안)

  • More than half of all the tidal flats and islands in South Korea are located in Jeonnam. Shinangun accounts for a large amount of these tidal flats and island. This study assessed the value of ecosystem services for 14 administrative units (2 'eup' and 12 'myeon') that have around 1,000 islands in Shinangun, using the method described by Costanza et al. (1997). The assessment involved examining the land use types in Shinangun in relation to ecosystem services value. The finding showed that the tidal flat areas had the highest value of ecosystem services in most of the islands of Shinangun, in particular in Aphae-eup and Jido-eup. The study illustrates how quantitative analysis of land use patterns can help local governments like Shinangun to formulate policy for conservation and sustainaable use of ecosystem services. Especially, tidal flat areas are unique and fragile ecosystem, so it is very importat to make strategies for sustainable development in bioculturally diverse areas. Some suggestions regarding landscape planning in Shinangun are provided.

Effects of Metaverse Experience Factors(4Es) on Perceived Value and Intention to Continue Use

  • Recently, a lot of discussions are underway in the field of introducing new technologies about the rapidly growing metaverse. However, the degree of acceptance of metaverse users at the beginning of the introduction is different from expectations, so research should be conducted for the continuous use of current real users and service success. In this study, we would like to investigate the relationship between four experience factors according to Metaverse's experiential economy theory, and perceived value and intention to continue use. A survey was conducted on metaverse real-life veterans, and 177 questionnaires were finally analyzed. The collected data were empirically analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 21.0. As a result; First, it was found that all the experience factors of the metaverse had a positive effect on the perceived value. Second, all of the experience factors of metaverse were found to have a positive effect on the intention to continue use. Third, perceived value was found to have a positive effect on the intention to continue use. Based on the analysis results, the implications and limitations of this study were presented. Based on the analysis results, metaverse should provide and develop various experience factors differentiated from reality to users. In addition, providing an experience environment and value that metaverse users can perceive will increase users' intention to continue using it.

  • This paper is concerned with the assessment of benefits from water quality improvements. The contingent valuation method (CVM) is employed to directly measure the value of the project for the improvement of the water pollution in the Kumgang area. The perceived value of the improved water quality is investigated by using questionnaires to those concerned living near water-polluted area. The questionnaire includes such questions as the amount to willingly pay, the motivation to pay, the reasons of rejecting the payment, and some socio-economic data. The results of the survey show that (1) non-use value of the environmental goods is perceived to be more important than use-value of the environmental goods; (2) "willingness to pay" for the improved water quality varies according to the degree of educational level. income level and ages; (3) the resistance to pay for the project comes from the "polluter's pay principle".

  • Guidance commands for attitude controlled missiles inevitably take the form of attitude angle commands. On the other hand, many guidance laws compute the accelerations required to achieve their goals. Therefore some integrators must be in use for the attitude controlled missiles to implement the guidance laws. Naturally, the use of the integrator raises the problem of choosing a proper initial value. In this paper, we compute the integrator initial value which minimizes the terminal miss and show that if the total flight time of the mission is long enough, the "optimal" initial value becomes some multiple of the initial heading error or of the given impact angle to the target. We demonstrate the validity of the analysis by showing some linear and nonlinear simulation results.n results.

  • Until now, the quantity to recycle wasted concrete as the great supplementary value was very little. But considering a insufficiency of the present state of aggregates, the recycling of wasted aggregates is indispensable. This study will offer the basic application data of the recycled aggregates to make by the new attempt and offer the basic data of the great supplementary value of recycled aggregate to make good use of precast process. The result of compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength and drying shrinkage test of concrete by recycled aggregates were similar to the property of normal aggregate concrete, and the contrary effect of recycled aggregate by high temperature steam curing do not have been found out. Therefore the great supplementary value of recycled aggregate to make good use of precast process is possible way to be helpful to a insufficiency of the present state of aggregates.

  • When we predict of software reliability, we can't know the testing stopping time and how many faults be residues in software the (the maximum value of data) during these software testing process, therefore we assume the maximum value and the training result can be inaccuracy. In this paper, we present neural network approach for software reliability prediction with unnormalized (actual or original collected) data. This approach is not consider the maximum value of data and possible use the network without normalizing but the predictive accuracy is better. Also, the unnormalized method shows better predictive accuracy than the normalized method given by maximum value. Therefore, we can make the best use of this model in software reliability prediction using unnormalized data.

Teaching the Intermediate Value Theorem with Non-Existing Examples

  • In this case study, a professor was observed to investigate use of instructional examples when teaching the Intermediate Value Theorem in a calculus course. Video-recorded lessons were analyzed with constant comparison to video-stimulated recall interviews and field notes. The professor employed multiple instructional examples, which was initiated by students and modified by the professor. The professor asked students to build non-existing examples as an informal proof of the Intermediate Value Theorem and assessment of students' previous knowledge. Use of incorrect examples on instructional purpose can be an appropriate way for formative assessment as well as a bridge between informal and formal proofs in college mathematics.

A Study on Recycling of Waste Tire (폐타이어 재 자원화를 위한 연구)

  • Compared to other waste, waste tire has much discharge quantity and calorie. When we use waste heat from waste tire, it can be definitely better substitute energy than coal and anthracite in high oil price age. To use as a basic data for providing low cost and highly effective heating system, following conclusion was founded. Annual waste tire production was 19,596 million in 1999, Recycling ratio was almost 55% and more than 8.78 million was stored. Waste tire has lower than 1.5% sulfur contain ratio which is resource of an pollution, So it is a waste fuel which can be combustion based on current exhaust standard value without any extra SOx exclusion materials. Waste tire has 9,256Kcal/kg calorific value and it is higher than waste rubber, waste rubber, waste energy as same as B-C oil. When primary and second air quantity was 1.6, 8.0 Nm$^3$/min, dry gas production time was 270min and total combustion time was 360 min. In the SOx, NOx, HC of air pollution material density were lower than exhaust standard value at the back of cyclone and dusty than exhaust standard value without dust collector.
