Study on Traffic Convenience of Aged People with Mobility Disadvantage: Focusing on Hanam-eup, Miryang-city, Gyeongsangnam-provance

  • According to the statistics, Korea is expected to reach a super-aged society in 2025. In preparation for an aging society, The government is making efforts to improve in social activity and welfare for the elderly people. But in case of people who live in urban-rural mixed cities, They can not benefit from traffic convenience that is essential in social activities. For example, surveys and interviews show that, The dwellers(65+ of some urban-rural mixed cities) have many restrictions on social activities because of mobility disadvantage. Therefore, We propose that expansion for the people who need to use the voucher taxi, Increase of the public bus service and rebuilding of the bus stop terminal. We are looking forward to this study will be used as basic data for transportation policy of urban-rural mixed cities across the country.

  • The paper is intended to develop a typology of residential mobility and systemizes the many empirical analysis of reasons for moving. An integrated conceptual framework of decision making process for residential mobility is proposed. the traditional behavioral approaches were evaluated for its explaining power, and the results and constraints were testified. For the conceptual framework, the role of external opportunities and constrains on households was emphasized. Finally, it is suggested that the housing needs, housing constraints, and housing opportunities of urban households should be considered together form the integrated model.

  • 우리나라는 도시화의 진전으로 수도권, 중부권 및 동남권 중심으로 메가시티가 형성되고 있다. 또한, 미래 신성장 동력산업으로 메가시티에서 운용할 수 있는 도심항공 모빌리티(UAM) 개발에 박차를 가하고 있다. 이와 함께, 우주 강국으로 도약하기 위해 2035년까지 자체적인 위성항법시스템(KPS)을 구축할 예정이다. 따라서 도심항공 모빌리티와 한국형 위성항법시스템에서 제공하는 위치정보 서비스를 복합하여 활용한다면 미래 메가시티에서 안정적으로 도심항공 모빌리티를 운용할 수 있을 것이다.

Recommendation of Navigation Performance for K-UAM Considering Multipath Error in Urban Environment Operation

  • According to the Korea Urban Air Mobility (K-UAM) Concept of Operation (ConOps), the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is recommended as the primary navigation system and the performance specification will be implemented considering the standard of Performance Based Navigation (PBN). However, by taking into account the characteristics of an urban environment and the concurrent operations of multiple UAM aircraft, the current PBN standards for civil aviation seem difficult to be directly applied to an UAM aircraft. Therefore, by referring to technical documents published in the literature, this paper examines the feasibility of applying the proposed performance requirements to K-UAM, which follows the recommendation of navigation performance requirements for K-UAM. In accordance with the UAM ConOps, the UAM aircraft is anticipated to maintain low altitude during approach and landing phases. Subsequently, the navigation performance degradation could occur in the urban environment, and the primary degradation factor is identified as multipath error. For this reason, to ensure the safety and reliability of the K-UAM aircraft, it is necessary to analyze the degree of performance degradation related to the urban environment and then propose an alternative aid to enhance the navigation performance. To this end, the aim of this paper is to model the multipath effects of the GNSS in an urban environment and to carry out the simulation studies using the real GNSS datasets. Finally, the initial navigation performance requirement is proposed based on the results of the numerical simulation for the K-UAM.

도시와 농촌의 재유형화와 주거이동 결정요인 분석 (An Empirical Analysis on the Determinants of Residential Mobility and Reclassifying Urban and Rural Areas)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors affecting residential mobility between urban and rural. After classifying urban and rural region based on discriminatory attributes of the regions, we applied a multinomial logistic model, using the sample data of 2020 Korea Population and Housing Census. The major findings are as follows. The young highly educated in cities avoided rural. The young less educated in rural engaged in 2, 3th industries as well as agricultural industry, but remained in low-paying and unstable jobs. In addition, various classes moved to rural and rising house prices in cities pushed people to rural. Therefore, it is necessary to develop diversified regional industry models and provide opportunities for high quality and stable jobs in rural by linking industrial demand, education and jobs. Also, preserving the rural environment, settlement conditions and residential environment are needed for satisfying various needs of urban residents who migrate to rural areas. While regional policies so far have focused on maintaining the population size and promoting a population influx, rural development and population policies should be established in a way that responds to diverse population classes in an era of population decline.

생체신호 기반 도심 항공 모빌리티 비상 대응 시스템 개발 (Development of Biosignal-based Urban Air Mobility Emergency Response System )

  • 본 논문은 도심 항공 모빌리티 환경에서 응급상황 발생 시 비상 대응이 가능한 시스템을 제안한다. 탑승자의 심박수를 실시간으로 모니터링하고 이상 감지 시, 모스 부호화된 진동과 음성으로 경고하는 생체신호 감응형 스마트 워치를 개발하였으며. 관제시스템을 가정한 ROS 환경과 통신하여 도심 항공 모빌리티 운용 중 인근 버티포트 비상착륙을 위한 최단 경로 생성 시스템을 구현하였다. 실제 지역을 기반으로 한 고 충실도 시뮬레이션 환경 구축과 테스트로 안정성을 확인하였으며, 결과적으로 도심 항공 모빌리티의 안정과 편의를 향상시킬 수 있는 기술을 개발하였다.

개인형 이동장치 안전인식에 관한 연구 (Study on the Safety Perception of Personal Mobility)

  • 개인형 이동장치의 사용 증가에 따라 관련 교통사고와 사회적 문제가 증가하는 상황에서 정부는 문제 해결을 위해 관련 법규를 지속적으로 개정하고 있다. 개정된 법규가 개인형 이동장치 안전에 미치는 영향력을 분석하기 위해 본 연구에서는 2021년 5월에 개정된 법규에 기반하여 사용자가 느끼는 위험특성과 법제도에 대한 대중의 인식을 반영한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과, 보도와 차도가 구분되지 않은 도로주행, 과속주행, 2인 탑승 등이 개인형 이동장치의 위험특성으로 분석되었으며 이는 개정된 개인형 이동장치 관련 법제도에 대한 인지도가 낮기 때문이라는 결론을 도출하였다. 따라서 개인형 이동장치의 보급이 확대됨에 따라 개인형 이동장치 관련 제도개선에 대한 시민들의 인지도 및 개선된 법규의 준수율 향상이 반드시 필요하다.

Advanced Air Mobility ICT 기술 현황 및 발전 방향 (Current Status and Development Direction of Advanced Air Mobility ICTs)

  • In this study, the status of global advanced air mobility (AAM) was investigated to derive information and communications technologies (ICTs) that should be prepared according to directions of domestic AAM development. AAM is an urban air traffic system for moving from city to city by electric vertical take-off and landing or personal aircraft. It is expected to establish a three-dimensional air traffic system that can solve ground traffic congestion caused by the rapid global urbanization. With the full-scale commercialization of AAM solutions, high-density air traffic is expected, and with the advent of the personal air vehicle (PAV), the flight space usage is expected to expand. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a safe AAM service through early research on core ICTs for autonomous flight.

T-START: Time, Status and Region Aware Taxi Mobility Model for Metropolis

  • The mobility model is one of the most important factors that impacts the evaluation of any transportation vehicular networking protocols via simulations. However, to obtain a realistic mobility model in the dynamic urban environment is a very challenging task. Several studies extract mobility models from large-scale real data sets (mostly taxi GPS data) in recent years, but they do not consider the statuses of taxi, which is an important factor affected taxi's mobility. In this paper, we discover three simple observations related to the taxi statuses via mining of real taxi trajectories: (1) the behavior of taxi will be influenced by the statuses, (2) the macroscopic movement is related with different geographic features in corresponding status, and (3) the taxi load/drop events are varied with time period. Based on these three observations, a novel taxi mobility model (T-START) is proposed with respect to taxi statuses, geographic region and time period. The simulation results illustrate that proposed mobility model has a good approximation with reality in trajectory samples and distribution of nodes in four typical time periods.

화재대응 취약지역에서의 소방특수차량 이동제약요인 분석 : 서울시의 진입곤란지역을 대상으로 (Analysis of Mobility Constraint Factors of Fire Engines in Vulnerable Areas : A Case Study of Difficult-to-access Areas in Seoul)

  • Ensuring swift on-site access to fire engines is crucial in preserving the golden time and minimizing damage. However, various mobility constraints in alleyways hinder the timely entry of fire engines to the fire scene, significantly impairing their initial response capabilities. Therefore, this study analyzed the significant mobility constraints of fire engines, focusing on Seoul, which has many old town areas. By leveraging survey responses from firefighting experts and actual observations, this study quantitatively assessed the frequency and severity of mobility constraint factors affecting the disaster responses of fire engines. Survey results revealed a consistent set of top five factors regarding the frequency and disturbance level, including illegally parked cars, narrow paths, motorcycles, poles, and awnings/banners. A comparison with actual road-view images showed notable consistency between the survey and observational results regarding the appearance frequency of mobility constraint factors in vulnerable areas in Seoul. Furthermore, the study emphasized the importance of tailored management strategies for each mobility constraint factor, considering its characteristics, such as dynamic or static. The findings of this study can serve as foundational data for creating more detailed fire safety maps and advancing technologies that monitor the mobility of fire engines through efficient vision-based inference using CCTVs in the future.
