A study on the Analysis Method of Interference using SEAMCAT in UHF band (UHF대역에서의 SEAMCAT을 이용한 간섭 분석기법에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we proposed the modeling of UHF frequency environment in a random mountainous area with line of sight. A transmitting station is defined as wanted transmitter(Wr) and a receiving station is defined as victim receiver(Vr). These set up victim link. A interference transmitter(It) and wanted receiver(Wr) set up interference link. We compared measured data at random mountainous area with data of the result using spectrum engineering advanced monte calo analysis tool(SEAMCAT), interference simulation based on the monte-carlo method. The desired received signal strength(dRSS) of SEAMCAT had the calculated error of 70% from the measured received signal strength because there was a topographical effect. Therefore, the effect of diffraction interference was included to lessen the power of transmitter in the proposed simulation. The cause of received power error are cable loss and errors of a measuring instrument. The proposed simulation modeling in UHF frequency environment expect that is the useful study on interference analysis and reassignment of broadcasting frequency.

Optimization of input carrier powers considering satellite link environment in the multi-level SCPC systems (Multi-level SCPC 시스템에서 링크환경을 고려한 중계기 입력반송파 전력의 최적화)

  • This paper suggests power optimization technique in multi-level SCPC system as a method for efficient utilization of limited satellite power. The power optimization is realized by optimal assignment of satellite input carrier powers considering interference and noise generated in up-link and down-link. The Fletcher-Powell algorithm searching minimum(or maximum) point using gradient information is used to detemine the optimal input carrier powers. To apply Flectcher-Powell algorithm mathematical descriptions and their partial derivatives to interference and nose are presented. Because a target, which should be optimized, is satellite input carrier power, amplitude of each carrier group will be assumed to be an independent variable. The performance criterion for optimal power assignmentis classified into 4 categories with respect to CNR of destination receiver earth station to meet the requirement for various satellite link environment. Simulation results for two-level, four-level and six-level SCPC system are presented.

  • Today's communication needs the super high-speed data transmission system to send many data rapidly, correctly, and simultaneously because of the increase of internet use, the demand of multimedia service and so on. Before long, the super high data service will be offered us by a satellite called platform which will be located at stratosphere of 20[km]over earth. It is possible to build the optical wireless communication networks which have the high data-tarrying capacity because this system use a laser. But, there are many problems to overcome because it make use of the atmospheric space as transmission channel. In this paper, therefore, we study up on the relations of data rates, bit error rates, and turbulent effects of atmosphere to present the effects of atmosphere to present the effects of atmospheric turbulence on the optical satcom link.

  • The system requirement definition, system configuration, major parameters for GNSS ground station development are presented in this paper. GNSS ground station system consists of the GNSS sensor station, up link station and monitoring & control system. The GNSS sensor station consists of navigation receiver subsystem which process the GPS and Galileo navigation signal, automic clock subsystem, meteorological data receiving subsystem and navigation data processing subsystem. To communicate the error correction of navigation fate, GNSS sensor station interface with GNSS Control Center.

  • A Satellite transponder is the Communication system to process signal with up-link signal recovery, and transmit to ground station through down-link. The orbit flight in the deep space causes high doppler shift in the received signals from the ground station so that the Carrier recovery and fast synchronization system are essential for the transponder system. The conventional analog transponder is employing the system's carrier recovery along with the PLL (Phase Locked Loop) designed for satellite's operation. This paper presents a digital carrier recovery scheme which can provide more reliable and software reconfigurable implementation technique for satellite transponder system without verifying scheme along with transponder designed for short distance or deep space satellite.

  • In this paper, the method of interference analysis and its simulation have been suggested for the frequency sharing between aeronautical radio navigation systems and Link-16 platforms. In order to get the criteria for interoperability, the algorithm of interference analysis and protection ratio are derived to assure frequency sharing. Also the receiving power of wireless system has been illustrated with the help of radio propagation model of ITU-R Rec. P.1546 in VHF-UHF band. Finally the required receiving power or separation distance between DME/TACAN beacons and Link-16 ground station terminals has been considered based on system link budget in terms of evaluating interoperability as well as actual applications. As a result, if the suggested interference analysis and test set-up are applied to the field trial, it will lead to easy means to make a decision on interoperability over the existing incumbent systems.

  • The MIMO has weak points such as size and cost of systems and the complexity of hardware augment. Thus, the cooperative transmission techniques have been recently discussed briskly and it also solves problems by increase of shadowy area. However, limited cooperation scheme is utilized due to a single-antenna at the destination. The base station is simply equipped with multiple antennas. When the base station has multiple antennas, cooperative diversity and multiplexing schemes can be easily applied in the base station. To guarantee reliability with high throughput, a cooperative hybrid cyclic relay diversity transmission scheme is proposed which can use an arbitrary number of relays without rate loss and a modification of the base station. The presented results show that the proposed schemes can be effectively applied to the existing various MIMO-OFDM communication system.

  • In this paper, We propose design and implementation method of Modulator for IMT-2000 over reverse link. Parameters necessary for each block use those specified in cdma2000, i.e. standard for third generation cellular mobile communication which is proposed in currently North America. As software tool for modulator design, We implemented using MAX+PLUS II that ALTERA support. Our System is totally composed of eight block and make it possible to transmit four channels(PICH, FCH, SCH, DCCH) simultaneously. Also the system is designed to make it possible to transmit data up to maximum 384kbps.

  • In this paper, a stacked circular-disk microstrip 1${\times}$4 array antenna was designed and manufactured and tested to apply in next generation mobile communication, on IMT-2000 system(up-link: 1.885 GHz∼2.025 GHz, down-link: 2.11 GHz∼2.2 GHz) base station which has dual frequency, broadband and high-gain characteristics. The experimental results are as follows : resonant frequency of 1.885 GHz and 2.178 GHz VSWR (1.064 , 1.432), return loss (-30.19 dB , -24.99 dB), band width (VSWR<2) are 402 MHz, -3dB beam width at radiation pattern are ${\alpha}$E-16.8$^{\circ}$, ${\alpha}$H-69$^{\circ}$(1.885 GHz) and ${\alpha}$E-l5.2$^{\circ}$, ${\alpha}$H-51.5$^{\circ}$(2.178 GHz), gain(13.7 dBi∼15.21 dBi).

  • To improve the quality of bus service, providing bus ravel time information to passenger through station screen. Generally, bus travel time information predict by using previous bus data such as neural network, Kalman filtering, and moving average algorithms. However, when they got a difficulty about bus travel time information because of the missing previous bus data, they use pattern data. Generally, nevertheless the difference of range is big. Hence in this research to calculate the bus travel time information when the bus information is missed, use queue detector's data which set up in link. The application of several factors which influence in bus link travel time, we used CORSIM Version 5.1 simulation package.
