  • In this paper, we developed the real-time automation program for the immunity test according to the determination of the EUT image, and analyzed the image of standard PC monitor and the monitor image affected by the electromagnetic field. The image change detection algorithm was realized for the real-time determination of the malfunction, and we attempted to obtain the consistent results for the electromagnetic immunity measurement. We showed the possibility to determine the immunity of the PC monitor and other equipment by performing the image change detection of EUT, and the experimental results for the EUT immunity determination of EMS (Electro-Magnetic Susceptibility, IEC 61000-4-3) are also proposed in line with the international standard and domestic trends.

  • The purpose of the present study was to develop a standard protocol for imidapril hydrochloride bioequivalence testing. For this reason, a specific LC-MS method was developed and validated for the determination of imidapril in human plasma. A solid-phase extraction cartridge, $Sep-pak^{R}$ C18, was used to extract imidapril and ramipril (an internal standard) from deproteinized plasma. The compounds were separated using a XTerra $MS^{R}$?C18 column ($3.5 {\mu}m, 2.1\times150 mm$) and $acetonitrile-0.1\%$ formic acid (67:33, v/v) adjusted to pH 2.4 by 2 mmol/L ammonium formic acid, as mobile phase at 0.3 mL/min. Imidapril was detected as m/z 406 at a retention time of ca. 2.3 min, and ramipril as m/z 417 at ca. 3.6 min. The described method showed acceptable specificity, linearity from 0.5 to 100 ng/mL, precision (expressed as a relative standard deviation of less than $15\%$), accuracy, and stability. The plasma concentration-versus-time curves of eight healthy male volunteers administered a single dose of imidapril (10 mg), gave an $AUC_{12hr}$ of imidapril of $121.48\pm35.81 ng mL^{-1} h$, and $C_{max} and T_{max}$ values of $32.59\pm9.76 ng/mL and 1.75\pm0.27 h$. The developed method should be useful for the determination of imidapril in plasma with sufficient sensitivity and specificity in bioequivalence study.

  • In this work, vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) technique was applied for the determination of %EE of chiral compounds. It may provide an easy way to determine the %EE with a proper accuracy within 2% error ranges as well as the absolute configuration of enantiomers. We demonstrated herein a flow cell VCD (FT-VCD) technique for time-dependent %EE measurements. The simultaneous monitoring of the mole fraction and %EE for two chiral species (epichlorohydrin and glycidol mixture) in the mixture was shown to be successful without any further separation steps. Thus, we demonstrate that FT-VCD is an appropriate analytical tool to monitor the kinetics of reactions involving chiral molecules. FT-VCD also provides a convenient nondestructive approach for the time dependent determination of the optical purity of individual components in a reaction mixture containing chiral molecules.

  • Inertial Navigation System has been used extensively to determine the position, velocity and attitude of the body. An INS is very expensive, however, heavy, power intensive, requires long setting times and the accuracy of the system is degraded as time passed due to the accumulated error. Global Positioning System(GPS) receivers can compensate for the Inertial Navigation System with the ability to provide both absolute position and attitude. This study describes a method to improve both the accuracy of a body positioning and the precision of an attitude determination using GPS antenna array. Existing attitude determination methods using low-cost GPS receivers focused on the relative vectors between the master and the slave antennas. Then the positioning of the master antenna is determined in meter-level because the single point positioning with pseudorange measurements is used. To obtain a better positioning accuracy of the body in this research, a wireless internet is used as an alternative data link for the real-time differential corrections and dual-frequency GPS receivers which is expected to be inexpensive was used. The numerical results show that this system has the centimeter level accuracy in positioning and the degree level accuracy in attitude.

  • Due to global warming and abnormal climate, the frequency and damage of floods are increasing, and the number of people exposed to flood-prone areas has increased by 25% compared to 2000. Floods cause huge financial and human losses, and in order to reduce the losses caused by floods, it is necessary to predict the flood in advance and decide to evacuate quickly. This paper proposes a flood risk determination model using a CNN-based classification model so that timely evacuation decisions can be made using rainfall and water level data, which are key data for flood prediction. By comparing the results of the CNN-based classification model proposed in this paper and the DNN-based classification model, it was confirmed that it showed better performance. Through this, it is considered that it can be used as an initial study to determine the risk of flooding, determine whether to evacuate, and make an evacuation decision at the optimal time.

  • In the present study, the variation of settlement, pore water pressure and undrained shear strength through model tests were measured. Also, the variation of water content, unit weight and shear strength by the vane shear tests were observed. In this study, appropriate deposit time of construction equipments used in treatment of hydraulic fills is determined from the prediction curve of increased shear strength in dredged fills.

  • A modified periodic inspection policy is examined. It is troublesome to know the life distribution and burdensome to compute an optimum planned inspection time numerically as well. A nonparametric a, pp.oximation is used so that equations for the optimum inspection time are expressed as closed forms. To show that the a, pp.oximation can be used in practice, simulations are conducted in the case of Weibull failure times.

  • The autocorrelation function structures of bilinear time series model BL(p, q, r, s), $r \geq s$ are obtained and shown to be analogous to those of ARMA(p, l), l=max(q, s). Simulation studies are performed to investigate the adequacy of Akaike information criteria for identification between ARMA(p, l) and BL(p, q, r, s) models and for determination of orders of BL(p, q, r, s) models. It is suggested that the model of having minimum Akaike information criteria is selected for a suitable model.
