In this paper, we design to generate 12.5 GHz spaced 256 number of multi-carrier generation module using 32 laser diodes. We modulate the generated multi-carrier generation module by 12.4 Gbps, and confirm the performance of optical channels passing through recirculating loop up to 1000km distance. An experimental result shows that the carrier away from the laser diode is significantly influence by noise effect.

This paper proposes a multiplexed space-frequency block coding (SFBC) technique for single-carrier modulation with frequency domain equalization. Multiplexed space-frequency block coding technique for single-carrier modulation uses multiple groups of two transmitters and suppresses the interference signals of other SFBC groups at the receiver. In this paper, we reconfigure transmit signals to adapt them for multiplexed SFBC for single-carrier modulation with frequency domain equalization and receiver structures and propose a structure for transmitter and receiver, show its performance is better than the traditional algorithm by simulations.
In this paper, a novel analysis of a carrier based PWM method for multilevel inverters is presented. The space vector PWM and carrier based PWM correlations in multilevel inverters are investigated in a nominal two-level switching diagram. The obtained results can be applied to design various carrier PWM techniques. In this paper, a carrier based single-state PWM technique, which reduces the switching number and optimizes the active voltage errors, is presented. This PWM technique can be advantageous if there are a large number of levels. The proposed method is mathematically formulated and demonstrated by simulations and experimental results.
The purpose of the present study was to kinetically investigate the carrier-mediated uptake in the hepatic transport of organic anions, and to simulate the ″in vivo counter-transport″ phenomena, using kinetic model which was developed in this study. The condition that the mobility of carrier-ligand complex is greater than that of free carrier is not essential for the occurrence of ″counter-transport″ phenomenon. To examine the inhibitory effects on the initial uptake of a ligand by the liver, it is necessary to judge whether the true counter-transport mechanism (trans-stimulation) is working or not. The initial plasma disappearance curves of a organic anion were then kinetically analyzed based on a flow model, in which the ligand is eliminated only from the peripheral compartment (liver compartment). Moreover, ″in vive counter-transport″ phenomena were simulated based on the perfusion model which incorporated the carrier-mediated transport and the saturable intracellular binding. The ″in vivo counter-transport″ phenomena in the hepatic transport of a organic anion were well demonstrated by incorporating the carrier-mediated process. However, the ″in vivo counter-transport″ phenomena may be also explained by the enhancement of back diffusion due to the displacement of intracellular binding. In conclusion, one should be more cautious in interpreting data obtained from so-called ″in vivo counter-transport″ experiments.

The performance of a multi-carrier CDMA system is analyzed considering frequency selective multipath fading and Near/Far effects. The number of multicarrier, multiuser, and arms of RAKE receiver, and the decay ratio of frequency selective multipath fading are used as a parameter for the performance analysis. More over, the distribution and the strength of multiuser interference are also considered. To evaluated the Near/Far effects in a multi-carrier CDMA system, three distribution models are assumed. In the first model. interference to carrier Ratio, I/C, ranges form -4 dB to 4dB, and at each 2 dB interval 20 % of multiuser is assumed to be uniformly distributed. In the second one, I/C ranges from -2 dB to 2 dB, and 33.3% of multiuser is assumed to be equally dispersed at each 2dB interval. The third model is 0 dB of I/C, that is, with perfect power control, multiuser are assumed to be evenly located. In this paper, multi-carrier CDMA system adoption RAKE receiver is proposed to mitigate the frequency selective multipath fading. Form the results, the third model(i.e. perfect power control)shows the best performance, and the narrower range of I/C causes the less effects to the desired signal, which reads to the better performance.
Since the carrier sequence is not reproducible in a period of the random carrier pulse width modulation (RCPWM) and a higher harmonic spectrum amplitude is likely to affect the quality of the power supply. In addition, electromagnetic interference (EMI) and mechanical vibration will appear. To solve these problems, this paper has proposed an optimal RCPWM based on a genetic algorithm (GA). In the optimal modulation, the range of the random carrier frequency is taken as a constraint and the reciprocal of the maximum harmonic spectrum amplitude is used as a fitness function to decrease the EMI and mechanical vibration caused by the harmonics concentrated at the carrier frequency and its multiples. Since the problems of the hardware make it difficult to use in practical engineering, this paper has presented a hardware system. Simulations and experiments show that the RCPWM is effective. Studies show that the harmonic spectrum is distributed more uniformly in the frequency domain and that there is no obvious peak in the wave spectra. The proposed method is of great value to research on RCPWM and integrated power systems (IPS).

This paper presents a simple carrier symmetric method for the voltage balance of flying capacitors in FCMLI(flying capacitor multi-level inverter). To achieve the voltage balance of flying capacitors, the utilization of each carrier must be balanced during a half-cycle of the switching period such as PSPWM(Phase-Shifted PWM). However, the CRPWM(Carrier Redistribution PWM) method causes the fluctuation of flying capacitor voltages because the balanced utilization of carriers is not achieved. Moreover, it does not consider that the load current change has an influence on flying capacitor voltages by assuming that the current flows into the load. To overcome the drawbacks of CRPWM, it is modified by the technique that carriers of each band are disposed symmetrically at every fundamental period. Firstly, the CRPWM method is reviewed and the theory on voltage balance of flying capacitors is analyzed. The proposed method is introduced and is verified through the experiment result.

In this paper, a new PWM method is proposed to reduce the input current harmonics of 3 phase PWM rectifier. In the conventional carrier comparison PWM method, a triangular wave is generally used as the carrier wave. However, the large d-axis current ripple by the triangle carrier wave may be a source of large input current THD(Total Harmonic Distortion). In this paper, a new carrier comparison PWM method with saw tooth wave is proposed. Depending on the sector where the voltage command vector places, one of the rising or falling saw tooth wave is selected. To reduce the switching losses of the saw tooth carrier PWM, the discontinuous PWM is also presented. The proposed PWM method can reduce the d-axis current ripple as well as the switching losses. The performance of the conventional and proposed PWM methods is verified by the simulation and experimental results.

In the present paper, the sloshing resistance performance of a huge-size LNG carrier's insulation system is evaluated by the fluid-structure interaction (FSI) analysis. To do this, the global-local analysis which is based on the arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) method is adopted to accurately calculate the structural behavior induced by internal LNG sloshing of a KC-1 type LNG carrier insulation system. During the global analysis, the sloshing flow and hydrodynamic pressure of internal LNG are analyzed by postulating the flexible insulation system as a rigid body. In addition, during the local analysis, the local hydroelastic response of the LNG carrier insulation system is computed by solving the local hydroelastic model where the entire and flexible insulation system is adopted and the numerical analysis results of the global analysis such as initial and boundary conditions are implemented into the local finite element model. The proposed novel analysis techniques can potentially be used to evaluate the structural integrity of LNG carrier insulation systems.

In order to resolve problems according to the phase error in QPSK demodulator in the digital satellite broadcasting, the demodulator requires carrier recovery loop which searches for the frequency and phase of the carrier. In this paper the drawback of NCO of the conventional carrier recovery loop is to wastes a amount of power for the structure of Look-up table , we designed the structure of combinational logic without the Look-up table. In the comparison with dynamic power of the proposed NCO, the power of NCO with the Look-up table is 175[${\mu}$W], NCO with the proposed structure is 24.65[${\mu}$W]. As the result, it is recognized that loss power is reduced about one eighth. In the simulation of carrier recovery loop designed QPSK demodulator, it is known that the carrier phase is compensated.
