To this end, four leaders registered in the U-12 team were selected from those with more than 10 years of player experience, less than 5 years of coaching experience, and a level C or higher of the Korea Football Association leader's license. Accordingly, the analysis categories and analysis units were categorized according to the research problem, and data analysis was conducted through an inductive method. As a result of the study, youth soccer leaders were starting their coaching with the mindset of "I shouldn't" and "I can do it" based on their past experiences. They who concerned their uncertainty about the future in the teaching field were struggling with how to communicate with student and were less professional in teaching and learning ability. but they were trying to gain expertise while feeling rewarded in teaching. Accordingly, it was discussed to improve the treatment of youth soccer leaders and improve the program that is the leader training system.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of blended learning approach on academic achievement and self directed learning skills of nursing undergraduate students. This experimental study is designed for a nonequivalent control group. The number of subjects in this research consists of 145, where 75 of the experimental group participated in blended learning program and 70 of the control group didn't do. The data was analyzed by $x^2$-test, Fisher's exact test, t-test and paired t-test. The effects of blended learning approach on learning outcomes in women's health nursing are as follows : The academic achievement of the experimental group has been more elevated than that of the control group on final examination. The experimental group has made increase in self directed learning skills. The blended learning approach on learning outcomes in nursing major are effective. This study has significant implication in that it identified the availability of the blended learning program and that it would be a useful teaching and learning method to achieve learning outcomes.

  • The factors contributing to learning can be broadly classified into four different groups; Learner's characteristic variable, Instructor's characteristic variable, Learning task characteristic variable and environmental characteristic variable. And the first thing we need to do here is understanding of learner's characteristics among those factors in order to devise a plan for education. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to find out what impact the affective traits (self-concept learning habits learning attitude), one of the learner's features, have on the mathematics-learning achievement and to seek for a good teaching method with reference to elementary school students' learning accomplishments and attitudes. For this, a questionnaire survey was conducted of 78 students of two fifth-grade classes in an elementary school located in South Chungcheong Province in this study. In consequence, it has been shown that the mathematics-learning achievement has the greatest relevance to the self-concept in connection with mathematics followed by the self-concept in connection with learning, the learning habits relating to mathematics, the attitude towards mathematics, the learning habits concerning studies and the attitude towards learning.

  • As the teaching and learning paradigm shifts, the demand for informal learning is increasing. In this study, we reviewed related literature and analyzed cases of operating professional learning communities in order to apply professional learning communities to librarianship education and training programs. Seven operational cases of professional learning communities, both domestic and foreign, within the field of librarianship and other fields were selected. The organizational structure, operational format and method, learning content, and support systems were analyzed. Through this analysis, the concept of a librarian learning community was defined, and implications for organizing and operating a librarian learning community were derived from the spontaneity and multi-layeredness of composition, diversity of learning community operation formats, and fieldality of learning content. As a support system for the smooth operation and activation of the librarian learning communities continuity of program operation by the operating organization, support and cooperation from affiliated organizations, education and training programs, platform establishment and operation, and dissemination and feedback of results for activation were presented.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact on self-directed learning ability and science process skills by utilizing 'Thinking Maps' in a science class. This particular study was proceeded to 5th grader at B elementary school, there was a mutual agreement with a teacher about assigning a research group and a comparison group and it was agreed by students and explaining the reason and purpose of the study. The researchers visited the school and selected 24 students in the research class and 24 students in the comparative class. For a research group, an experimental group, homeroom teacher, proceeded a science class with the application of 'Thinking Maps'. The experimental period was set up as a 40 minutes class unit for 12 weeks. After an experimental group, self-directed learning ability and science process skills were examined, data collection and data analysis were proceeded by order. The following experimental results are as below. First, the application of 'Thinking Maps' method in the class was effective in self-directed learning ability. Second, the application of 'Thinking Maps' method in the class was effective in scientific process skills. Third, the application of 'Thinking Maps' method in the class had a positive cognition from the learners in the experimental group. Based on the discussions and implications of the results of this study, some suggestions in the follow - up study are as follows. First, applying Thinking Maps technique to various science classes to see the effects can also be suggested as one of the new teaching methods. Second, testing the effects of applying different grades of elementary school students using the Thinking Maps technique could also be highlighted as another way of teaching science classes.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a module for infants in pediatric nursing based on problem-based learning (PBL) and to analyze its effect. Methods: The data used in the study was collected from 79 junior nursing students. For the analysis of the module effect, one group post-test design was applied for measurement of academic achievement. Results: The module for infants is comprised of a 4-hour PBL module. The academic achievement tests are composed of formative (tutor evaluation, self-evaluation) and summative evaluations. The self-evaluation revealed the strong need for PBL and the importance of PBL in the problem solving process and integrative thinking. The mean score of the subjects' learning satisfaction, problem solving process and concept map assessments were all above 50 percent. There was no significant difference in the mean score between the infant PBL and other teaching methods. Conclusion: The PBL proved to be a useful learning method to promote the critical and integrative thinking process.

  • Effective mastering and learning of basic organic chemical concepts is pivotal to ensure students continue to excel to the higher levels of organic chemistry learning. Concept learning is crucial for first-year organic chemistry students so that they can comprehend and understand a concept better and able to make connection to problems. In the present paper, the authors have implemented the Interactive Anonymous Quiz (IAQ) with "must-have" features in the organic chemistry course as a teaching tool to instill students' interest and enhance conceptual understanding in organic chemistry. The effectiveness of this activity was examined and evaluated through students' reflective writing. Students showed positive learning outcome on the implemented activity as reflected by the reflective writings. In addition, this activity could be employed as an activity to check on students' concept understanding, to instill students' interest in organic chemistry course and to improve on students' weakest topic in organic chemistry in the future classes.

  • Web-based learning receives much attention as an effective learning method because users can use the learning service at any time from any space. A learning management system(LMS) provides online educational environment among teachers and students, supporting various facilities to deliver educational contents. Since most of the existing LMSs support one-way or limited two-way teaching services among teachers and students, there are a lot of difficulties in performing collaboration among students and/or collaboration among teachers and students. In this paper, we describe the development of collaborative workspaces which provides effective collaborative educational environment on Moodle which is widely accepted as a typical LMS. Through the provided various types of collaborative workspaces, users can easily perform group activities, sharing educational with appropriate access control mechanism.

  • This study investigated the effects of collocation-based vocabulary instruction for the experimental group (G2). It was compared to the traditional wordlist-based vocabulary instruction for the control group (G1). This results reflect the development of low level high school EFL learners' vocabulary learning strategy use and the positive change in the affective domain. In the analysis of the survey responses, G1 and G2 did not differ significantly on the first questionnaire. They did, however, differ significantly on the second questionnaire. G2 used more strategies to discover and to consolidate the meaning of the words by means of combining words. In terms of the affective domain, G2 participated more actively in the learning activities, which had a significant effect on vocabulary growth, memory, self-confidence, motivation, and cooperative learning. This is attributable to the fact that G2 was more inquisitive, interested, challenged, participatory, cooperative, and attentive than G1 in performing the vocabulary task activities. Moreover, the data collected from the questionnaire showed that G2 performed more interactive and dynamic activities in solving the given tasks.
