A Study of Efficiency Information Filtering System using One-Hot Long Short-Term Memory

  • In this paper, we propose an extended method of one-hot Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and evaluate the performance on spam filtering task. Most of traditional methods proposed for spam filtering task use word occurrences to represent spam or non-spam messages and all syntactic and semantic information are ignored. Major issue appears when both spam and non-spam messages share many common words and noise words. Therefore, it becomes challenging to the system to filter correct labels between spam and non-spam. Unlike previous studies on information filtering task, instead of using only word occurrence and word context as in probabilistic models, we apply a neural network-based approach to train the system filter for a better performance. In addition to one-hot representation, using term weight with attention mechanism allows classifier to focus on potential words which most likely appear in spam and non-spam collection. As a result, we obtained some improvement over the performances of the previous methods. We find out using region embedding and pooling features on the top of LSTM along with attention mechanism allows system to explore a better document representation for filtering task in general.

Effects of visual restriction and unstable base dual-task training on balance and concentration ability in persons with stroke

  • Objective: In the present study, the effects of visual restriction and unstable base dual-task training (VUDT), stable base dual-task training (SDT), and on stroke patients' balance and concentration abilities were examined. Design: Two-group pretest-posttest design. Methods: Dual-task training was conducted for thirty persons with chronic stroke who were hospitalized or receiving physical therapy and were randomly assigned to either the VUDT group (n=15) or the SDT group (n=15). The subjects were divided into two groups of 15 participants each, the VUDT group and the SDT group. Dual-task training was administered for 30 minutes per session, three times a week for 8 weeks. The participants' balance was measured via the center of pressure migration distances, functional reach test (FRT), Berg Balance Scale (BBS), and attention was measured using the trail-making test and the Stroop test. Results: In comparisons within each group, the two groups showed significant differences before and after the training (p<0.05). In the comparisons between the groups, the VUDT group showed significant improvements in center of pressure (COP), FRT, and BBS, and TMT compared to the SDT group (p<0.05). Conclusions: It would be more effective to conduct dual-task training as a rehabilitation training program under vision restriction and unstable supporting surface conditions than to conduct the test under unstable supporting plane conditions to improve balance and attention in chronic stroke patients.

행운과 불운이 배경 대 대상에 대한 주의에 미치는 효과: 탐색적 연구 (The Effect of Good and Bad Luck on Attention to Background versus Object: An Exploratory Study)

  • 복권에 당첨된 것과 같이 뜻밖의 행운을 경험한 사람들이 그들의 배경 (e.g., 집, 자동차)을 개선시키려고 노력하는 것은 일상에서 자주 목격할 수 있는 일이지만, 이렇게 행동하는 이유에 대해서는 경험적으로 검증된 바 없다. 본 연구는 행운을 경험한 사람들이 배경으로 주의의 범위를 확장시키고, 불운은 주변의 대상들로 주의의 범위를 축소할 것이라는 예측을 경험적으로 검증하면서 위와 같은 행동의 이유를 탐색하고자 이루어졌다. 이를 위한 실험 1a는 행운 경험(가위바위보 승)이 배경에 주의를 기울이도록 유도하여 숨은그림찾기 수행을 저하시키고, 불운 경험(가위바위보 패)이 배경 안의 대상에 주의를 기울이도록 유도하여 숨은그림찾기 수행을 향상시키는 현상을 관찰하였다. 또 손을 씻으면 이러한 현상이 반대로 나타남을 확인하였다. 실험 1b는 실험 1a의 결과가 행운-불운 경험과 손 씻기의 상호작용효과에 따른 것이며 가위바위보의 승패가 자기통제감을 조작한 결과가 아님을 확인하였다. 실험 2는 행운에 대한 신념이 강한 사람일수록 배경에 주의를 기울여 숨은그림찾기 수행이 저하되고 이것이 약할수록 숨은그림찾기 수행이 향상됨을 관찰할 수 있었다. 이 세 가지 실험은 행운이 환경 전반으로 주의를 확장시키고, 불운이 주변대상들로 주의를 축소시킨다는 탐색적 예측을 지지한다. 본 연구는 주의와 관련된 인지심리학뿐 아니라 소비자 행동 및 광고심리학 등의 인접분야에도 폭 넓은 시사점을 가진다.

The Relationship of Clinical Symptoms with Social Cognition in Children Diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Specific Learning Disorder or Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Objective One of the areas of social cognition is Theory of Mind (ToM) is defined as the capacity to interpret, infer and explain mental states underlying the behavior of others. When social cognition studies on neurodevelopmental disorders are examined, it can be seen that this skill has not been studied sufficiently in children with Specific Learning Disorder (SLD). Methods In this study, social cognition skills in children diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), SLD or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) evaluated before puberty and compared with controls. To evaluate the ToM skills, the first and second-order false belief tasks, the Hinting Task, the Faux Pas Test and the Reading the Mind in the Eyes Task were used. Results We found that children with neurodevelopmental disorders as ADHD, ASD, and SLD had ToM deficits independent of intelligence and language development. There was a significant correlation between social cognition deficits and problems experienced in many areas such as social communication and interaction, attention, behavior, and learning. Conclusion Social cognition is an important area of impairment in SLD and there is a strong relationship between clinical symptoms and impaired functionality.

S/W 개발 프로젝트 관리를 위한 상황 모형 연구 (A Study on the Contingency Model for S/W Development Project Management)

  • Despite the careful attention paid by managers and researchers to the effective administration of the S/W Development Project, there are cases where the project goes over-budget or misses deadlines. Existing research blames these problems on task complexity or mismanagement. In order to verify the results that varied according to the fitness between the Task Characteristics and the Project Management Types, a contingency model was employed. The verification of the contingency model demonstrated that the greater the task complexity, the greater the effectiveness of the project coordination, and the lesser the task complexity, the greater the effectiveness of project control. This research is theoretically important in that it develops a composite model to verify the relation between the three factors of Task Characteristics, Project Management Types, and Project Performance that compose the S/W Development Project.

The Effects of Learning Styles, and Types of Task on Satisfaction and Achievement in Chinese learning on Facebook

  • The study was conducted to find out the interaction between learning styles, and types of task on satisfaction and achievement in Chinese learning on Facebook. 44 students from D University in Seoul, Korea finished the questionnaires. To measure the participants' learning styles and satisfaction, the learning style instrument and satisfaction instrument were used. The data received were analyzed to find out the interaction between learning styles, and types of task on satisfaction and achievement. Through the analysis, the study suggests that, in the SNS environment for learning, instructors should focus on more on types of tasks than learning styles. Learning styles are important, however, for new pedagogy for one new learning environment, types of task are definitely more important than learning styles. Depending on the study results, the instructors should pay more attention to types of task, and they should also use different strategies to facilitate the contents of tasks to improve achievement and satisfaction in an SNS environment.

약물 복용력이 없는 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 남아의 시각적 Go/NoGo 과제 수행결과 및 수행시의 사건관련전위 (Event-Related Potentials During the Visual Go/NoGo Task in Drug-Naive Boys with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the performance and electrophysiological characteristics of drug-naive children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) during the Go/NoGo task. Methods: Twenty-three boys with ADHD and 18 age-matched normal boys were recruited at a child psychiatric outpatient clinic in Seoul. All subjects were assessed by the Kiddie Schedules for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia Present and Lifetime version. The investigator also assessed all subjects using the ADHD Rating Scale-IV(ADHDRS). Event-related potentials were recorded from 8 scalp electrodes during the visual Go/NoGo task. Results: Children with ADHD showed a larger mean of standard deviation of response time during the Go/NoGo task than normal children. The temporal N200 and P300 amplitudes were larger in children with ADHD relative to controls. The parietal N200 and P300 latencies were more prolonged in children with ADHD compared to normal controls. Conclusion: These results suggest that psychotropic-naive children with ADHD may have more variable performance ability, more difficulty in discriminating visual stimuli, and slower information processing speed than their normal age-matched counterparts.

부모의 양육태도에 따른 유아의 문제행동과 주의집중력 (Young Children's Behavioral Problems and Attention Ability by Parenting Attitude)

  • The subjects in this study of parenting attitudes, children's behavior problems and attention ability were 111 5-year-old children and their parents. Data was analyzed by mean, frequency, percent, three-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation. Results showed that behavior problems and attention ability of children varied by the parenting attitude of mothers and fathers. Behavior problems of boys were higher than girls, and boys' attention abilities were lower than girls.' Interaction effects were found between parenting attitudes and gender in children's behavior problems and attention ability : fathers' autonomy correlated negatively with boys' behavior problems (r=-.47), task processing speed (r=-.37), and attention inconsistency (r=-.36). Children's behavioral problems correlated positively with attention inconsistency (r=.28).

모바일 인터넷 사용 성과와 만족도에 영향을 미치는 신체적 정황 요인에 관한 연구 (Do Diverse Physical Contexts Matter in Mobile Internet Use\ulcorner)

  • 모바일 인터넷은 단말기의 휴대가 가능하고 무선으로 인터넷에 접속할 수 있기 때문에 언제 어디서나 사용할 수 있다. 따라서 고정된 환경에서 사용하게 되는 유선 인터넷에 비해 모바일 인터넷 사용자는 다양한 정황 속에서 인터넷을 사용하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 여러 가지 정황 요인 들 중에서 손과 다리 및 눈에 관한 신체 정황을 선택하여, 이들이 모바일 인터넷 사용 성과와 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관하여 연구하였다. 본 연구를 위해 각 정황에서 과제를 수행하는 통제된 실험을 실시했고, 과업의 정확도와 주관적인 만족도를 측정했다 연구 결과, 각각의 정황이 개별적으로 피험자들에게 주어졌을 때는 정확도와 만족도에 영향을 미치지 않았지만. 두 개 이상의 정황이 동시에 주어졌을 때, 즉 눈에 있어서 시각적인 방해와 다리에 있어서 보행이라는 정황이 동시에 주어졌을 때 정화도 및 만족도가 떨어졌다. 이것은 주의의 한계로 인해 피험자로 하여금 하나의 신체적 정황에 대한 주의 보다 둘 이상의 신체적 정황에 대한 주의가 더 필요하게 되었고 그 결과 과업을 수행하는 인지적 주의의 양이 줄어들었기 때문임을 시사하고 있다.

주의 피드백 인식 및 조절 훈련이 대학생의 주의편향 및 범불안에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Attention Feedback Awareness and Control Training on Attention Bias and Generalized Anxiety Symptoms in college students)

  • 본 연구는 범불안 성향의 대학생을 대상으로 주의편향 및 범불안 증상에 대한 주의 피드백 인식 및 조절 훈련의 효과를 확인하였다. 범불안장애 척도(GAD-7) 10점 이상 또는 펜실베니아 걱정 질문지 척도(K-PSWQ) 56점 이상이며, 주의편향을 나타내는 범불안 성향의 대학생 31명을 선발하여 주의 피드백 인식 및 조절 훈련(Attention Feedback Awareness and Control Training, A-FACT) 집단(n = 11), 주의편향수정(Attention Bias Modification, ABM) 집단(n = 10) 및 활성 위약 통제(Active Placebo Control, APC) 집단(n = 10)에 무선할당하였다. A-FACT 집단은 탐침탐사과제를 이용한 주의편향수정 훈련 시, 개인의 기저반응시간(Baseline Neutral Response time, BNR)을 기준으로 편향 여부에 대한 피드백을 실시간으로 제공받았다. ABM 집단은 기존 ABM 절차와 동일하며, APC 집단은 주의편향을 감소시키기 위한 프로그램이라는 안내는 주어지지만 피드백이 주어지지 않는 탐침탐사과제를 실시하였다. 총 8회기로 구성되어, 주 2회로 4주간 진행되었다. 주의편향수정 훈련의 효과는 주의편향점수(Attention Bias Score, ABS)와 GAD-7, K-PSWQ 및 상태 및 특성 불안 검사(K-STAI) 점수 변화로 평가하였다. 반복측정 변량분석 결과, A-FACT 집단은 ABM 집단과 APC 집단에 비해 ABS가 유의하게 감소하였으며, GAD-7, K-PSWQ 및 K-STAI 점수도 유의하게 감소하였다. 이는 주의편향수정 훈련 시 편향에 대한 피드백을 통해 편향의 여부를 인식시키고 이를 통한 주의의 자기 조절적 통제가 주의편향 및 범불안장애 증상 경감에 효과적일 가능성을 시사한다.
