차량의 능동형 현가장치를 위한 강인한 $H^{\infty}$ 제어기 설계 (A Robust $H^{\infty}$ Controller for Active Suspensions Based on a Full-Car Model)

  • An $H\infty$ controller is designed for active suspensions of vehicles using 7-degree-of-freedom full-car model. Its performance robustness as well as stability robustness to system parameter variations and unmodelled dynamics are assured through the $\mu$-framework. The performance of the $H\infty$ controller is compared with that of a LQC controller in compute simulations. From the simulations it is found that the active suspension with the $H\infty$ controller reduces the acceleration and motion of the sprung mass in the heaving rolling and pitching directions when the car is driven on a normal road or through an asymmetric bump. The suspension stroke and the road holding capability are also improved with a relatively small level of power consumption. Overall the $H\infty$ controller shows a more robust performance than that of the LQG design.

  • In this paper a new adaptive, decentralized excitation control scheme proposed to enhance the transient stability of multimachine power systems is extensively analyzed with respect to its robustness and disturbance attenuation. As shown in the paper, both robustness and disturbance attenuation can be effectively improved by suitably selecting the design parameters of the proposed controller. Particularly, some simple rules for the selection of the control gains and the adaptation parameters are extracted which, as it is proven, may be essential for the system performance. Simulation tests on a two generator infinite bus power system absolutely confirm the theoretical results.

  • A robust control design scheme using well-developed SISO techniques is proposed for maglev vehicles that are inherently unstable MIMO systems. The proposed separate control method has basically two control loops: a stabilizing loop by a pole-placement technique, and a performance loop using a novel optimal LQ loop-shaping technique. This paper shows that the coupling terms involved in maglev vehicles with multimagnets should not be neglected but compensated for their stability and performance robustness. The robustness properties of the proposed control system are then evaluated under variations of vehicle masses and air gaps through a computer simulation. This paper also describes the reason why the proposed control technique can be suggested as a tool using only SISO techniques in controlling unstable MIMO systems such as maglev vehicles.

  • In this paper, we study the robustness of disturbance observer based controller for DC motor in the presence of unmodeled dynamics. It is well known that the robustness property usually becomes weaker as the control gain becomes larger. On the contrary to this expectation, it is shown that the phase margin of DOB controller remains quite a large value even though the time constant of Q-filter becomes smaller. The computer simulation results show that DOB controller is able to stabilize the motor system even in the presence of unmodeled dynamics. On the contrary, the unity-feedback system fails to maintain stability when a high gain feedback is employed for the purpose of achieving better disturbance attenuation performance.

  • In this paper we propose a new stability theorem and a robust stability condition for linguistic fuzzy model systems in state space. First we define a stability in linear sense. After representing the fuzzy model by a system with disturbances, A necessary and sufficient condition for the stability is derived. This condition is proved to be a sufficient condition of the fuzzy model. The Q in the Lyapunov equation is iteratively adjusted by an gradient-based algorithm to improve its stability test. Finally, stability robustness bounds of a system having modeling error is derived. An example is also included to show that the stability test is powerful.

  • This note presents the robust root clustering problem of interval systems whose characteristic equation might be given as either a family of interval polynomials or a family of polytopes. Corresponding to damping ratio and robustness margin approximately, we consider a certain class of D-region such as parabola, left-hyperbola, and ellipse in complex plane. Then a simpler D-stability criteria using rational function mapping is presented and prove. Without .lambda. or .omega. sweeping calculation, the absolute criteria for robust D-stability can be determined.

  • In this paper, a robust reduced order adaptive controller is proposed based on Internal Model Control(IMC) structure for stochastic linear stable systems. The concept of gain margin is utilized to make the adaptive IMC controller robust. We prove the stability of the proposed adaptive IMC system for stable plants under the assumption that upper bounds for system orders are known. Simulation results show that the proposed method has good performance and stability robustness.

  • In MIMO design, input and output units are different from each other. By this reason, the effect of larger units to smaller one is not trivial and there is no method of proper scaling, optimal scaling. In this paper, robust stability of MIMO LQG/LTR design are analised when the plnat inputs and outputs are scalled. The upper bound of model error to guarantee the robust stability is obtained, and gain margin and phase margins are computed with respect to scalling matrices.

  • The modeling and control design schemes are developed for maglev systems with a combined lift and guidance. First, bond graph techniques are applied for modeling these multi-energy domain systems more logically and systematically. And the stability loop via pole placement and the performance loop via loop-shaping LQ control are designed. The suggested controller satisfies the required characteristics of stability and performance simultaneously. Finally, the robustness of the synthesized maglev control system is evaluated for the variations of air gap and vehicle mass through computer simulation.
