운산 금 광상의 엽리상 석영맥에서 산출되는 백색운모와 녹니석의 산상 및 화학조성 (Occurrence and Chemical Composition of White Mica and Chlorite from Laminated Quartz Vein of Unsan Au Deposit)

  • 운산 금 광상은 한반도의 3대(대유동 광상, 광양 광상) 금 광상중의 하나였다. 이 광상의 지질은 선캠브리아기의 변성퇴적암류와 중생대의 반상화강암으로 구성된다. 이 광상은 선캠브리아기의 변성퇴적암류와 중생대의 반상화강암내에 발달된 단층대를 따라 충진한 함 금 석영맥 광상으로 조산형 금 광상에 해당된다. 이 광상의 석영맥은 광물조합에 따라 1) 방연석-석영맥형, 2) 자류철석-석영맥형, 3) 황철석-석영맥형, 4) 페크마틱 석영맥형, 5) 백운모-석영맥형 및 6) 단순석영맥형으로 분류된다. 연구된 석영맥은 황철석-석영맥형이며 견운모화작용, 녹니석화작용 및 규화작용이 관찰된다. 백색운모는 유색대에서 백색석영, 황철석, 녹니석, 금홍석, 모나자이트, 저어콘, 인회석, 칼리장석 및 방해석 등과 함께 세립질 내지 중립질 입단으로 산출된다. 이 백색운모의 화학조성은 (K0.98-0.86Na0.02-0.00Ca0.01-0.00Ba0.01-0.00 Sr0.00)1.00-0.88(Al1.70-1.57Mg0.22-0.09Fe0.23-0.10Mn0.00Ti0.04-0.02Cr0.01-0.00V0.00Ni0.00)2.06-1.95 (Si3.38-3.17Al0.83-0.62)4.00O10(OH2.00-1.91F0.09-0.00)2.00로써 이론적인 이중팔면체형 운모류 값보다 Si가 높고 K, Na, Ca는 낮다. 이 광상의 엽리상 석영맥에서 산출되는 백색운모의 화학조성 변화는 팬자이틱(phengitic) 또는 Tschermark 치환[(Al3+)VI+(Al3+)IV <-> (Fe2+ 또는 Mg2+)VI+(Si4+)IV] 및 직접적인 (Fe3+)VI <-> (Al3+)VI 치환에 의해 일어났음을 알 수 있다. 엽리상 석영맥에서 산출되는 녹니석의 화학조성은 (Mg1.11-0.80Fe3.69-3.14Mn0.01-0.00Zn0.01-0.00K0.07-0.01Na0.01-0.00Ca0.04-0.01Al1.66-1.09)5.75-5.69 (Si3.49-2.96Al1.04-0.51)4.00O10 (OH)8로써 이론적인 녹니석보다 Si 함량이 높다. 이 녹니석의 화학조성 변화는 팬자이틱(phengitic) 또는 Tschermark 치환(Al3+,VI+Al3+,IV <-> (Fe2+ 또는 Mg2+)VI+(Si4+)IV) 및 팔면체적 Fe2+ <-> Mg2+ (Mn2+) 치환에 의해 일어났음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 운산 광상의 엽리상 석영맥 및 변질광물은 조산운동 시 연성전단(ductile shear) 시기에 형성되었음을 알 수 있다.

공기극 분극 저항 증가에 따른 SOFC 단전지 성능 감소에 관한 연구 (Performance degradation of SOFC caused by increase of polarization resistance for the cathode during long-term test)

  • In this study, the relation between the performance degradation of SOFC single cell and the increase of polarization resistance for the cathode is investigated. $Pr_{0.3}Sr_{0.7}Co_{0.3}Fe_{0.7}O_3$(PSCF3737, $19.4{\times}10^{-6}K^{-1}$) and $Gd_{0.1}Ce_{0.9}O_2$ (CGO91, $12{\times}10^{-6}K^{-1}$) are used as a cathode and an electrolyte, respectively. The polarization resistance of cathode is increased due to the delamination caused by thermal expansion coefficient difference. The voltage drop with 10%/1000h decline rate occurs during long-term, when the interface between the cathode and the electrolyte is delaminated due to TEC difference.

Symmetrical Solid Oxide Electrolyzer Cells (SOECs) with La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3 (LSCF)-Gadolinium Doped Ceria (GDC) Composite Electrodes

  • Scandia ($Sc2O_3$)-stabilized zirconia (ScSZ) electrolyte-supported symmetrical solid oxide electrolyzer cells (SOECs), in which lanthanum strontium cobalt ferrite (LSCF)-gadolinia ($Gd_2O_3$)-doped ceria (GDC) composite materials are used as both the cathode and anode, were fabricated and their high temperature steam electrolysis (HTSE) performance was investigated. Current density-voltage curves were obtained for cells operated in 10% $H_2O$/90% Ar at 750, 800, and $850^{\circ}C$. It was possible to determine the ohmic, cathodic, and anodic contributions to the total overpotential using the three-electrode technique. The HTSE performance was significantly improved in the symmetrical cell with LSCF-GDC electrodes compared to the cell consisting of an Ni-YSZ cathode and LSCF-GDC anode. It was found that the overpotential due to the LSCF-GDC cathode largely decreased and, at a given current density, the total cell voltage decreased, which resulted in the enhanced hydrogen production rate in the symmetrical cell.

Enhanced Performance of La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-\delta (LSCF) Cathodes with Graded Microstructure Fabricated by Tape Casting

  • $La_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}Co_{0.2}Fe_{0.8}O_{3-\delta}$ (LSCF) powders with different particle sizes, synthesized through a citrate complexation method and a gel-casting technique, are used to fabricate porous LSCF cathodes with graded microstructures via tape casting. To create porous electrodes with desired porosity and pore structures, graphite and starch are used as pore former for different layers of the graded cathode. Examination of the microstructures of the as-prepared LSCF cathode using an SEM revealed that both grain size and porosity changed gradually from the catalytically active layer (near the electrodeelectrolyte interface) to the current collection layer (near the electrode-interconnect interface). Impedance analysis showed that a 3-layer LSCF cathode with graded microstructures exhibited much-improved performance compared to that of a single-layer LSCF cathode, corresponding to interfacial resistance of 0.053, 0.11, and 0.27 $\Omega{\cdot}cm^2$ at 800, 750, and $700^{\circ}C$ respectively.

Characterization of a LSCF/GDC Cathode Composite in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells Using Impedance Spectroscopy

  • A composite cathode of LSCF$(La_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}Co_{0.2}Fe_{0.8}O_3)\;and\;GDC\; (Gd_2O_3-doped\;CeO_2:Ce_{0.9}Gd_{0.1}O_{1.95_})$ was characterized in terms of an electrode response, using a point contact in an Yttria-Stabilized Zirconia (YSZ) electrolyte incorporated into AC two-point impedance spectroscopy. The point-contacted configuration amplifies the responses occurring near the YSZ/cathode interface through the aligned point contact on the planar LSCF/GDC electrode. The point contact interface increases the bulk resistance allowing the estimation of the point contact geometry and resolving the electrode-related responses. The resultant impedance spectra are analyzed through an equivalent circuit model constructed by resistors and constant phase elements. The bulk responses can be resolved from the electrode-related portions in terms of spreading resistance. The electrode-related polarizations are measured in terms of temperature and oxygen partial pressure. The modified impedance spectroscopy is discussed in terms of methodology and analytical aspects, toward resolving the electrode-polarization issues in solid oxide fuel cells.

A Facile Combustion Synthesis Route for Performance Enhancement of La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-δ (LSCF6428) as a Robust Cathode Material for IT-SOFC

  • Lanthanum-based transition metal cations containing perovskites have emerged as potential catalysts for the intermediate-temperature (600-800℃) oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Here, we report a facile acetylacetone-assisted combustion route for the synthesis of nanostructured La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-δ (LSCF6428) cathodes for intermediate-temperature solid-oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFCs). The as-prepared powder was analyzed by thermogravimetry analysis-differential scanning calorimetry. The powder calcined at 800℃ was characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electrode microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area measurements. It was found that the porosity of the air electrode significantly increased by utilizing the nanostructured LSCF6428 instead of commercial powder. The performance of a single cell fabricated with the nanostructured LSCF6428 cathode increased by 112%, from 0.4 to 0.85 W cm-2, at 700℃. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy showed a considerable reduction in the area-specific resistance and activation energy from 133.5 to 61.5 kJ/mol, resulting in enhanced electrocatalytic activity toward ORR and overall cell performance.

  • Ferroelectric $Sr_{0.3}Ba_{0.7}Nb_{2}O_{6}$ (SBN30) thin films were deposited on Pt/Ti/$SiO_{2}$/Si(100) substrates by ion beam sputtering. During annealing treatment at $750^{\circ}C$, poling was attempted by applying dc voltage bias across polished surfaces. Phase relation, microstructure and crystallization behavior were examined using XRD and FE-SEM. Ferroelectric hysteresis characteristics were also determined where both remanent polarization and coercive values decreased with the increase of bias voltage. The measured remanent polarization and coercive field values at 5 V and 10 V bias were $36{\mu}C/cm^2$, $10{\mu}C/cm^2$ and 100kV /cm, 80kV /cm, respectively.

전남지역에서 출토된 고대 도자기의 태토조성과 소성온도 (Body Composition and Firing Temperature of Ancient Pottery Excavated in Chonnam Province)

  • 전남지역 도요지에서 출토된 토기, 시유도편, 녹청자와 청자편의 제조기술과 산지추정은 X선회절분석, 유도결합 플라즈마 발광분석, 열기계적 분석을 통한 물리화학적 성질의 검토로 이루어졌다. 도편의 사용원료는 점토, 석영, 장석광물로 유사하지만 그 함량비는 출토지에 따라 약간의 차이가 있으며, 철분함량에서 토기, 흑갈유, 녹갈유 도편은 $4\~7\%$, 녹청자 및 청자편은 $2\~3\%$로 기종에 따라 두드러진 차이를 나타내고 있다 흑갈유, 녹청자의 구성광물은 $\alpha-Quartz$, mullite와 일부 tridymite, cristobalite로 이루어졌으며, 청자는 $\alpha-Quartz$, mullite만으로 구성되어 있다. 도편의 소성온도는 토기가 $1000\~1100^{\circ}C$, 흑갈유, 녹갈유, 녹청자 청자가 $l130\~1200^{\circ}C$ 정도로 추정되었다. 도편에 대한 출토지의 구분은 분석된 21개의 미량원소중 14개의 원소가 매우 근접되어 불가능하였으며, 도자기제조에 사용된 원료의 지질학적인 특성이 유사한 것으로 판단하였다. 이들 지역에서 출토된 도편의 특성원소는 Rb, Sr, V, Zr, Y, Nd, Sc, La, Ce, Nb, Sm, Eu, Dy, Yb로 14개이다. 영암의 도편은 Zn과 Fe원소에 의해 다른 지역에서 출토된 도편들과 명확히 구분되었고, 출토지가 다른 녹청자, 청자편은 동일한 범위에 군집되는 특징을 나타내어 사용원료가 비슷한 것으로 추정된다.

SOFC용 LSCF/CGO 공기극의 제조 및 특성연구 (Synthesis and Characterization of LSCF/CGO Composite Cathode for SOFC)

  • Composites of LSCF($La_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}Co_{0.2}Fe_{0.8}O_{3-\delta}$) and CGO (gadolinium doped ceria)-based ceramics are logical candidate cathode materials with CGO electrolytes. LSCF with perovskite structure was synthesized and investigated by Solid State Reaction (SSR) method used as cathode materials for SOFC (solid oxide fuel cell). The optimized temperature was $1100^{\circ}C$ to synthesize $La_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}Co_{0.2}Fe_{0.8}O_{3-\delta}$ with rhombohedral structure. The polarization resistance of the LSCF/CGO (50:50 wt.%) was smaller than that of other composite cathodes. The analysis of the EIS data of LSCF/CGO suggests that the diffusion and adsorption-desorption of oxygen can be the key process in the cathodic reaction.

두께진동모드를 이용한 고주파대역의 단일체 세라믹필터에 대한 연구 (A study on the HF monolithic ceramic filter using thickness mode)

  • Using the energy trapping theory and the acoustic coupling theory. the Bandpass filter(center frequency = 10.7 MHz) of the fundamental thickness mode was made from the composition of $Pb_{0.96}Sr_{0.04}(Zr_{0.53}Ti_{0.47})O_3$+ 1wt% $Fe_2O_3$. Also, in the double mode monolithic filter, It was observed that as decreasing the size of the electrodes, or shortening the gap between two electrodes, the percent frequency separation was increased. Based on these. a 10.7 MHz uniwafer filter was made having the characteristics that bandwidth was 700 KHz and the percent frequency separation was 6 [dB] and selectivity was 29 [dB], end spurious response was 24 [dB] and insertion loss was 7 [dB].
