서보 모터의 제어성능 향상을 위한 외란 관측기 구현 및 속도검출방법 개선 (Disturbance Observer Implementation and Speed Detection Improvement for Control Performance Enhancement of the Servo Motor)

  • A analog disturbance observer, which is suitable for servo motor drive, was employed to suppressi control of the impact drop disturbance. The main advantage of the observer is that a fast response disturbance estimation is obtained using the detected motor cuttent and speed. And the new M/T method for motor speed detection is proposed. The method should be able to reduce the detection dead time compared with the Ohmae's M/T method. Also, the low speed control of a servo motor using instantaneous speed detection method is described. To estimate the instantaneous speed from the average speed, the speed estimator of the first order is proposed. Actually we confirmed that these methods improve the speed control performance of the servo system with experiments.

  • A faster autofocusing method is proposed. The searching speed of microscope camera is limited by the long focusing time due to too much sampled digital image data. The improvement of autofocusing speed based on the down sampling is discussed analytically and is proved by experiments. The anticipated aliasing is found negligible in shilling rate of focus measure.

  • In this paper, an improvement of the EBP(error back propagation) learning speed using an acceleration algorithm is described. Using an acceleration algorithm known as the Partan method in the gradient search algorithm, learning speed is 25% faster than the original EBP algorithm in the simulaion results.

  • This paper proposes the efficiency improvement method of vvcf-induction motor drives, which operates always at rated speed, regardless of load conditions, with counter emf estimation. The counter emf is estimated by detecting the fundamental component of motor input current, which is employed in speed control algorithm through the comparison with the actual counter emf during the nonconduction interval. The input power reduction by speed control is confirmed through simulations and experimental results.

  • A new speed detection method using low resolution incremental encoders, especially excellent in the low speed region and in the transient state, is proposed. The half period error of an incremental encoder is greater than the period error. So it's not recommended to quadruple the number of pulses per revolution, because it increase the ripple of speed. To overcome this restriction a speed detection, method has been proposed. But it requires so many latch circuits. Therefore we propose a new speed detection method that has different concept and has fewer latch circuits.

  • In this study, a new PWM method considering the actuation delay of high speed solenoid valves is proposed to improve the response characteristics of electro hydraulic servo systems controlled by high speed solenoid valves. In addition, the decision method for the system gain, the basic period of PWM, and the sampling time is proposed, Since the conventional system controlled by high speed solenoid valves is too slow to apply this method, a high speed driving circuit(Quick-Drive) which enables rapid switching of the high speed solenoid valve at a high speed sampling mode is applied to realize this method. The experimental result shows that it is possible to achieve precision and quiet control without occurrence of limit cycle and wide range dead band.

  • This paper presents a novel design method for determining the PID gains of a speed controller for a servo system compensating variations in bandwidth at a low speed. The variations in bandwidth of a speed controller are measured at a low speed and the relationship between the bandwidth and the damping ratio are verified by determining the location of the closed loop pole. The proposed algorithm uses the z-transform of a plant and speed controller and applies the time-varying sampling method for determining the PID gains of the speed controller at low speed. The magnitude and the phase condition are considered for finding a suitable control gain. The usefulness and effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through experimental results such as low speed control and robust disturbance responses.

  • In the speed control system of motors using the low resolution rotary encoder, the period of encoder pulse becomes longer than the sampling time for speed control in the range of very low speed. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain accurate speed information. In this paper, the speed estimating method at the very low speed region using reduced order torque observer, which has been widely used, is examined. The results of simulation show that the characteristics of the speed control at the very low speed region is improved by using the reduced order torque observer.

  • High speed railroad project management has been almost completed by starting operation of Seoul-Busan high speed railroad with the exception of a few constructing blocks currently in April, 2004. After Korea Rail Network Authority was established in 2004, it needs to develop new project management system for both conventional railroad construction and high speed railroad construction for domestic railroad projects, while it plans to invest in overseas railroad project for logistics innovation and improvement in passenger transport services on a large scale. Therefore this paper provides the method that we can adapt the project management system for high speed railroad containing experiences and know-how from construction of high speed railroad for both conventional railroad construction and high speed railroad construction or improve project management system for high speed railroad to use it as project management system for overseas railroad projects.

  • A novel rotor speed estimation method using model reference adaptive control(MRAC) is proposed to improve the performance of a sensorless vector controller. In the proposed method, the stator current is used as the model variable for estimating the speed. In conventional MRAC methods, the relation between the two model errors and the speed estimation error is unclear. In the proposed method, the stator current error is represented as a function of the first degree for the error value in the speed estimation. Therefore, the proposed method can produce a fast speed estimation. The robustness of the rotor flux-based MRAC, back EMF-based MRAC, and proposed MRAC is compared based on a sensitivity function about each error of stator resistance, rotor time constant, mutual inductance. Consequently, the proposed method is much more robust than the conventional methods as regards errors in the mutual inductance, stator resistance. Therefore, the proposed method offers a considerable improvement in the performance of a sensorless vector controller at a low speed. In addition, the superiority of the proposed method and the validity of sensitivity functions were verified by simulation and experiment.
