  • Let $\{{\varphi}_n\}_{n{\geq}1}$ be a sequence of analytic self-maps of ${\mathbb{D}}$. It is proved that if the union set of the ranges of the composition operators $C_{{\varphi}_n}$ on the weighted Bergman spaces contains the disk algebra, then ${\varphi}_k$ is an automorphism of ${\mathbb{D}}$ for some $k{\geq}1$.

  • The design method of synthetic aperture radar processor (SARP) in the critical design stage is to describe the processing algorithm, to estimate the fractional errors, and to set out the software (SW) and hardware (HW) mapping. The previous design methods for SARP are complex and depend on HW. Therefore, this paper proposes a critical design method that is of more general and independent of HW. This methodology can be applied for developing the space-based SARP using range-Doppler algorithm (RDA).

  • This paper treats the problem of estimating an arbitrary parametric function in the case when the parameter and sample spaces are countable and the decision space is arbitrary. Using the notions of a stepwise Bayesian procedure and finite admissibility, a theorem is proved. It shows that under some assumptions, every finitely admissible estimator is unique stepwise Bayes with respect to a finite or countable sequence of mutually orthogonal priors with finite supports. Under an additional assumption, it is shown that the converse is true as well. The first can be also extended to the case when the parameter and sample space are arbitrary, i.e., not necessarily countable, and the underlying probability distributions are discrete.

  • In this paper, we study the modified S-iteration process for asymptotic pointwise nonexpansive mappings in a uniformly convex hyperbolic metric space. We then prove the convergence of the sequence generated by the modified S-iteration process.

  • Let $F$ be a set of distributions on R with the topology of weak convergence, and let $A$ be the $\sigma$-field generated by the open sets. We denote by $F_1^\infty$ the space consisting of all infinite sequence $(F_1, F_2, \cdots), F_n \in F and R_1^\infty$ the space consisting of all infinite sequences $(x_1, x_2, \cdots)$ of real numbers. Take the $\sigma$-field $F_1^\infty$ to be the smallest $\sigma$-field of subsets of $F_1^\infty$ containing all finite-dimensional rectangles and take $B_1^\infty$ to be the Borel $\sigma$-field $R_1^\infty$.

  • The parabolic Bergman space is the set of $L^p(\lambda)$-solution of the parabolic operator $L^{(\alpha)}$. In this paper, we study representin sequences on parabolic Bergman spaces. We establish a discrete version of the reproducing formula on parabolic Bergman spaces by using fractional derivatives of the fundamental solution of the parabolic operator.

  • We approximate a locally unique solution of a nonlinear operator equation containing a non-differentiable operator in a Banach space setting using Newton's method. Sufficient conditions for the semilocal convergence of Newton's method in this case have been given by several authors using mainly increasing sequences [1]-[6]. Here, we use center as well as Lipschitz conditions and decreasing majorizing sequences to obtain new sufficient convergence conditions weaker than before in many interesting cases. Numerical examples where our results apply to solve equations but earlier ones cannot [2], [5], [6] are also provided in this study.

  • In this paper, we propose new algorithms for solving equilibrium and multivalued variational inequality problems in a real Hilbert space. The first algorithm for equilibrium problems uses only one approximate projection at each iteration to generate an iteration sequence converging strongly to a solution of the problem underlining the bifunction is pseudomonotone. On the basis of the proposed algorithm for the equilibrium problems, we introduce a new algorithm for solving multivalued variational inequality problems. Some fundamental experiments are given to illustrate our algorithms as well as to compare them with other algorithms.

  • In this paper we study a pointwise version of Walters topological stability in the class of homeomorphisms on a compact metric space. We also show that if a sequence of homeomorphisms on a compact metric space is uniformly expansive with the uniform shadowing property, then the limit is expansive with the shadowing property and so topologically stable. Furthermore, we give examples to illustrate our results.
