  • In this paper we shall consider the nonlinear delay differential equation (equation omitted) where m is a positive integer, ${\beta}$(t) and $\delta$(t) are positive periodic functions of period $\omega$. In the nondelay case we shall show that (*) has a unique positive periodic solution (equation omitted), and show that (equation omitted) is a global attractor all other positive solutions. In the delay case we shall present sufficient conditions for the oscillation of all positive solutions of (*) about (equation omitted), and establish sufficient conditions for the global attractivity of (equation omitted). Our results extend and improve the well known results in the autonomous case.

  • Functional fractional differential inclusions with impulse effects in general Banach spaces are studied. We discuss the situation when the semigroup generated by the linear part is equicontinuous and the multifunction is Caratheodory. First, we define the PC-mild solutions for functional fractional semilinear impulsive differential inclusions. We then prove the existence of PC-mild solutions for such inclusions by using the fixed point theorem, multivalued properties and applications of NCHM (noncompactness Hausdorff measure). Eventually, we enhance the acquired results by giving an example.

  • The purpose of this paper is to introduce and study a class of coupled systems of fuzzy delay differential equations involving fuzzy initial values and fuzzy source functions of triangular type. We assume that these initial values and source functions are triangular fuzzy functions and define solutions of the coupled systems as a triangular fuzzy function matrix consisting of real functional matrices. The method of triangular fuzzy function, fractional steps and fuzzy terms separation are used to solve the problems. Furthermore, we prove existence and uniqueness of solution for the considered systems, and then a solution algorithm is proposed. Finally, we present an example to illustrate our main results and give some work that can be done later.

  • In this paper, we consider the higher order nonlinear neutral delay difference equation of the form $\Delta^{\gamma}(x_{n}+px_{n-\gamma})+f(n, x_{n-\sigma_1(n)}, x_{n-\sigma_2(n)}, \ldots, x_{n-\sigma{_m}(n)})=0$. We give an integrated classification of nonoscillatory solutions of the above equation according to their asymptotic behaviours. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of nonoscillatory solutions with designated asymptotic properties are also established.

  • Various M2M applications have different quality-of-service(QoS) requirements to be implemented practically. QoS requirements are normally data rate and delay constraint. However, there are limited number of wireless communication chip solutions which cannot support QoS requirements for all M2M application. Hence, aggregated usage of plural wireless communication chip solutions should be needed to implement M2M applications. In this paper, we consider the case that two wireless communication chips using random access protocol work together to transmit data of an M2M application. In such case, data rate and delay performance are mathematically analyzed. In our results, practical data rate can be improved from 2.5 to 7 times while delay constraints are satisfied if we simply use two wireless communication chips together.

  • This work deals with the existence of uncountably many bounded positive solutions for the third order nonlinear neutral delay differential equation $$\frac{d^3}{dt^3}[x(t)+p(t)x(t-{\tau})]+f(t,x(t-{{\tau}_1}),{\ldots},x(t-{{\tau}_k}))=0,\;t{\geq}t_0$$ where ${\tau}>0$, ${\tau}_i{\in}{\mathbb{R}^+}$ for $i{\in}\{1,2,{\ldots},k\}$, $p{\in}C([t_0,+{\infty}),{\mathbb{R}^+})$ and $f{\in}C([t_0,+{\infty}){\times}{\mathbb{R}^k},{\mathbb{R}})$.

  • In this paper, we give an estimate on the difference between $x^n(t)$ and x(t) and it clearly shows that one can use the Picard iteration procedure to the approximate solutions to stochastic functional differential equations with infinite delay at phase space BC(($-{\infty}$, 0] : $R^d$) which denotes the family of bounded continuous $R^d$-valued functions ${\varphi}$ defined on ($-{\infty}$, 0] with norm ${\parallel}{\varphi}{\parallel}={\sup}_{-{\infty}<{\theta}{\leq}0}{\mid}{\varphi}({\theta}){\mid}$ under non-Lipschitz condition being considered as a special case and a weakened linear growth condition.

  • This paper is concerned with the existence of mild solutions for partial neutral functional integrodifferential equations with infinite delay in Banach spaces. The results are obtained by using resolvent operators and Krasnoselski-Schaefer type fixed point theorem. An example is provided to illustrate the results.

  • This paper presents a solution of the $H_{\infty}$ control problem for linear systems with input time delay. $H_{\infty}$ norm bounded condition is obtained as a sufficient condition for linear systems with input time delay. Based upon this sufficient condition, an $H_{\infty}$ controller design method which involves the solutions of linear matrix inequalities via convex optimization is developed.

  • This paper finds solutions for using ZigBee in wireless networked control system (WNCS). The round trip time delay and packet loss rate of the WNCS are measured. On the basis of these measured data, a playback buffer is used to solve the variable time delay in WNCS, and a Smith predictor is introduced to compensate for the time delay. The WNCS was able to be actually constructed to perform DC motor position control with 40 Hz sampling frequency.
