  • The goal of this study is to investigate the effect of ecological experience program at the urban stream on the environmental sensitivity of elementary school students. In order to perform this study, two classes of 6th graders of M elementary school in Gwangju were selected and divided into two groups; one groups was the experimental group that undergoes ecological experience program at the Gwangju River, and another group was the control group that studied about environment in the classroom. The results of this study were as following. First of all, the experimental group has more influence on the environmental sensitivity than the control group. Secondly, the ecological experience program at the urban stream can be the effective method to build the environmental sensitivity of elementary school students. In conclusion, the results are showing that the ecological experience program at the urban stream helps elementary school students to change their environmental sensitivity in positive ways, also it gives idea that how to protect the environment and what they actually can do.

  • This study reflected sensitivity cognition in using color and evaluated the performance in task regarded GUI environment. Largely, three experiments were conducted. First, the searching time in text environment was compared with the searching time in color environment. Second, to know relationship of hue, saturation, lightness which are factors of color, and searching time, the searching time was measured using two-way ANOVA with interaction with three independent variables: hue, saturation, and distance. Third, sensitivity cognition about color was investigated and the performance of searching task was analyzed in the environment designed by color regarded sensitivity cognition. According to statistical results, the average searching time was decreased about 50.31% in color environment. The searching time was significant among the difference of hue and saturation. For the factor of color, the more the ratio of green and red was increased, the more searching time was decreased. The more the ratio of gray was increased, the more searching time was increased. And the searching time was developed in the environment designed by color regarded sensitivity. The purpose of this study is the presentation of sensitivity realization method and verification in the reflection and application of sensitivity to the industrial environment and design.

  • A methodology is developed and used to evaluate the response sensitivity of the thermal systems to variations in their design parameters. Technique for computing the sensitivity of temperature distributions to changes in processing parameters needed to decide the more effective laser input parameters for laser surface hardening treatment is considered. In this study, a state equation governing the heat flow in laser surface treatment is analyzed using a three-dimensional finite element method and sensitivity data of the processing parameter obtained using a direct differentiation method is applied to the sensitivity analysis. The interesting processing parameters are taken as the laser scan velocity and laser beam radius ( $r_{ b}$), and the sensitivities of the temperature T versus v and $r_{b}$ are analyzed. These sensitivity results are obtained with another parameters fixed. To verify the numerical analysis results, hardened layer dimensions (width and depth) of the numerical analysis are compared with the experimental ones.nes.

  • The accuracy of estimates of hydrodynamic coefficients can be increased by using sensitivity-maximizing inputs. In this study, sensitivity-maximizing actuator commands of a submersible, which are sequences of bang-bang type commands, were obtained using Genetic Algorithm (GA) optimization technique. By comparing the total sensitivity values, deduced actuator inputs were found to be superior to the other sea trials. Based on the sensitivity distribution of conventional sea trials and sensitivity distribution results through deduced input scenario a review of submersibles' manoeuvring equations of motion was conducted .

  • Previous our numerical results in computing point kinetics equations show a possibility in developing approximations to estimate sensitivity responses of nuclear reactor We recalculate sensitivity responses by maintaining the corrections with first order of sensitivity parameter. We present a method for computing sensitivity responses of nuclear reactor based on an approximation derived from point kinetics equations. Exploiting this approximation, we found that the first order approximation works to estimate variations in the time to reach peak power because of their linear dependence on a sensitivity parameter, and that there are errors in estimating the peak power in the first order approximation for larger sensitivity parameters. To confirm legitimacy of our approximation, these approximate results are compared with exact results obtained from our previous numerical study.

  • This study was conducted as part of a summer Korean language and culture program at a university in Korea, aimed at examining the changes in intercultural sensitivity among American students who participated in the program, as well as the Korean students who served as their language partners. The research utilized a mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. To derive research findings, pre- and post-program Intercultural Sensitivity Scale surveys were administered to participating students and semi-structured interview data were collected from a randomly selected group of six students. The research findings indicated that among a total of twenty-seven students including both American and Korean students, significant changes in intercultural sensitivity were observed in the domain of Interaction Engagement. Furthermore, fourteen American students showed significant changes in their Interaction Confidence, while the Korean students who participated as language partners did not exhibit significant changes in the five subdomains of intercultural sensitivity.

  • This study was conducted to identify the moderating effect of rejection sensitivity in the relationship between depression and interpersonal competence in university students. Data collection was conducted from September to October 2020, and 184 students attending universities in D City and C province in Korea completed the self-report questionnaire. The collected data were subjected to Pearson's correlation and hierarchical regression analysis using the SPSS 26.0 program. In this study, depression and rejection sensitivity of university students were identified as significant influencing factors on interpersonal competence, and rejection sensitivity confirmed a moderating effect on the relationship between depression and interpersonal competence. The results of this study provide basic data on the mechanisms of action between depression, rejection sensitivity, and interpersonal competence of university students, and suggest that elements of depression and rejection sensitivity should be included in intervention programs to improve university students' interpersonal competence. Based on the results of this study, we suggest a study for the development of an effective individualized intervention program that can improve the interpersonal competence of university students.

  • Systematic sensitivity analysis of smoothed particle hydrodynamics method (SPH), a gridless Lagrangian particle method, was carried out in this study. Unlike traditional grid-based numerical schemes, systematic sensitivity study for computational parameters is very limited for SPH. In this study, the effect of computational parameters in SPH simulation is explored through two-dimensional dam-breaking and sloshing problem. The parameters to be considered are the speed of sound, the type of kernel function, the frequency of density re-initialization, particle number, smoothing length and pressure extraction method. Through a series of numerical test, detailed information was obtained about how SPH solution can be more stabilized and improved by adjusting computational parameters.

  • The sensitivity study to evaluate the effects of parameters on the fatigue crack propagation life under the constant loadings is executed in the previous study of the authors. It is shown that the effect of the crack opening ratio is large comparatively. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the effects of parameters on the fatigue crack propagation life under the random loadings. A new method of evaluation of the effective stress under the random loadings is developed. The sensitivity study of parameters on the fatigue crack propagation life under the random loadings is executed by using it.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the associations and paths among parenting behaviors, cyber delinquency, and moral sensitivity in adolescents to reduce and prevent cyber delinquency. Method: The data was collected by a survey for 270 students from a middle school and a high school in G city. The valid 262 cases were analyzed by frequency, descriptive analysis with SPSS 18.0 and tested by structural equation model by using AMOS 18.0 program. Results: Results showed that 1) 'control' among the parenting behaviors has positive effects on the cyber delinquency in adolescents, 2) 'intimacy and rationality' among the parenting behaviors has positive impacts on the moral sensitivity, 3) it shows that moral sensitivity has negative effects on the cyber delinquency in adolescents, and 4) bootstrapping test for indirect effect of moral sensitivity was verified significantly. We founded the full mediation of moral sensitivity and the path of 'intimacy and rationality' to cyber delinquency through moral sensitivity. Conclusions: The results implied 1) provision of the parent education and program for parents and newlyweds to learn positive parenting behaviors and 2) application of moral education to develop moral sensitivity of adolescents in schools and communities.
