4차 산업혁명을 대비한 고등학교 가정과 선택 교육과정 편성 방안 탐색 (Exploration on the Organization of High School Home Economics Selective Curriculum for the Fourth Industrial Revolution)

  • This study explored the organization of high school Home Economics (HE) selective curriculum for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. We critically review the change process of HE curriculum as well as problems based on the understanding of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The results were as follows. First, regarding the characteristic consistently shown in the revision process of high school curriculum, the huge increase of the number of subject organized resulted from the intensification of the selective-centered curriculum strengthening the choice for school and students. However, HE was reduced to some 'Technology-Home Economics' subject and a single subject 'HE Science' as a selective subject was subsequently combined with Technology after the $7^{th}$ curriculum period. Consequently, HE hard to organize the career-focused curriculum, emphasized by the revised 2015 curriculum due to the insufficient number of subjects. Second, the choice of HE in high school curriculum should be expanded as measures to organize the HE curriculum of high school to cope with changes that result from the Fourth Industrial Revolution. For the operation of the career-focused curriculum, career selective subjects and specialized subjects should be more diversely established. In accordance with changes in a future society that results from the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the HE education community should be prepared in advance to be organized as a selective subject when revising a subsequent curriculum, by newly establishing subjects necessary to students through collective intelligence and deliberation with pedagogists and scholars for subject content as well as by producing/getting approval from government-recognized textbooks.

2007년 개정 수학과 교육과정에 따른 선택과목 교과서의 수학교사 체감난이도 분석 (The analysis of sensed difficulty on the selective tracks textbooks based on 2007 revised mathematics curriculum)

  • The goal of the textbooks of 2009 revised curriculum is to make customized lectures possible considering learning characteristics and understanding level of students. However, it is not easy to find a research result on sensed difficulty of the mathematics textbook, which is able to provide valuable information on the development of the diverse level textbooks. This research suggested criteria in analysing sensed difficulties of field teachers on the textbooks, and analysed sensory difficulty on the selective tracks textbooks based on 2007 revised mathematics curriculum using the criteria. The results of the analysis on 59 mathematics selective tracks textbooks show that all have average sensed difficulty. The criteria and research results are expected to provide valuable information in future mathematics textbook development.

의과대학 선택교육과정의 운영절차와 만족도 평가 (Evaluation of Process and Satisfaction for Selective Courses in a Medical School)

  • The necessity of embracing selective courses in medical curriculum is increasing due to the expansion of medical knowledge and changes in the health care environment. In contrast to the abundant evidence regarding elective or selective courses during the clinical phase, articles focusing on the preclinical period are relatively scarce. This study aims to explore the development, implementation, and evaluation of newly-adopted selective courses in the first-year medical curriculum in a medical school which recently underwent a major curricular revision. First of all, the Curriculum Committee established goals and operating principles of the courses, and then the committee encouraged all participating professors to attend a related faculty development workshop after finalizing the list of courses. A survey was conducted at the end of each course for evaluation. Of the 36 courses opened in 2016, the overall satisfaction of students was $4.98{\pm}1.06$ (out of 6) and showed a strong correlation with students' previous expectations, reasoning- and participation-oriented teaching, and outcome of the courses including increased motivation. In the open-ended responses, students and professors described not only intended outcomes such as acquisition of medical knowledge and increased interest in new topics, but also unintended outcomes including positive impression for selective courses and even high satisfaction and rewarding experiences, especially from the teachers' perspective. Although long-term outcomes remain to be seen, the results of this study show the feasibility and impact of selective courses and will contribute to effective implementation in other medical schools.

  • 대학교육에 있어서, 학습자 중심의 교육과정으로 개편하려는 노력이 이루어지고 있는데, 이러한 노력은 대학교육의 질을 제고하고 대학의 경쟁력과 학습자의 전문성을 향상시키기 위한 하나의 전략으로 평가된다. 가장 단순한 형태인 과목 중심의 운영 방식인 현재의 선택 방식을 개선한 SSC 교육과정을 제안하고 그 교육적 효과를 측정해보았다. 그 결과, SSC 교육과정을 이수한 학습자들의 학업성취도가 SC 교육과정을 이수한 학습자보다 높은 것으로 나타났다.

  • Now in Korea, the 7th curriculum reform is underway. The main difference of the seventh curriculum compared with former curricula is that it puts much emphasis on individual difference. It is a "differentiated" curriculum. The basic directions of the 7th mathematics curriculum are as follows: 1. Offer various mathematical subjects for "Selective Educational Period" (Grades 11 and 12). 2. 30% reduction of mathematical contents. 3. The reconciliation of domain names of school mathematics. 4. The use of computers and calculators in mathematics classrooms.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to review the curriculum on biological nursing: structure and function of the human body, clinical microbiology, pathophysiology, and function and effect of drugs. Methods: Data was collected by searching and reviewing internet websites of 102 nursing schools or universities which provide 4 years nursing education in the Republic of Korea. The 74 curriculum on biological nursing science were available and analyzed by title, credits, hours, types of major (core or selective), offering semester, and laboratory practice. Results: The titles of 4 courses were diverse and were offered as core major (core requisites) or selective major. Structure and function of human body was offered in priority with more credits. Laboratory practice was poorly established in most courses. Biological nursing science courses were mostly taught in the second semester of the first year and the first or second semester of second year nursing education courses. Conclusion: There is a need to standardize the curriculum on biological nursing science and to expand the use of titles proposed by academic society. Also further research is necessary to identify curriculum details and to reflect the needs of professors.

한국과 일본의 고등학교 화학교육과정 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on High School Chemistry Curriculum in Korea and Japan)

  • 이 연구는 한국과 일본의 고등학교 화학교육과정을 구성체제, 목표, 내용, 교수${\cdot}$학습방법 및 평가의 관점에서 비교 분석하였다. 이러한 비교분석을 통하여 양국의 화학교육과정에서 나타나는 공통점과 차이점들을 구분하였다. 또한 선택취지를 살린 교육과정 편성과 안내 기능의 충실, 탄력적인 학습지도의 운영, 개인에 따른 지도의 충실, 학습내용의 엄선과 기초기본의 충실, 교육과정도입에 있어서 완충기간의 설정 등과 같이 한국의 교육과정연구에 도움이 되는 시사점을 이끌어 낼 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국가 수준 교육과정에서 정보 활용 능력의 위상을 분석하고, 범 교육과정으로서의 역할 강화방안을 제시하는 것이다. 분석 결과 현행 교육과정에서 정보 활용 능력은 교육적 인간상 중 하나인 창의인이 갖추어야 할 기본 능력인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 학교 지식 측면에서는 새로운 지식을 생산할 수 있는 방법적 지식이며, 교육 방법 측면에서는 학제 간 연계성을 갖는 사고 능력이다. 따라서 미디어 교육과 정보 통신 활용 교육을 포괄하는 정보 활용 교육이 선택 과목이 되기 위해서는 국가 수준의 교육과정에서 중요한 범 교과 학습 주제에 포함되어야 한다. 그리고 정보 활용 능력의 정의가 정보 탐색과 접근, 정보 분석과 해석, 정보 종합과 표현과 같이 구체적인 학습 기술로 명문화되어야 한다.

국내 간호대학과 간호전문대학의 교양교육과정 비교분석 연구 (A Comparison on General Education Curriculum of 4-year and 3-year Nursing Schools in Korea)

  • Purpose: This study was done to comparatively analyze the general education curriculum of 4-yr and 3-yr nursing schools in Korea. Methods: Ten university 4-yr nursing schools were selected based on universities in Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing 2010 or "2009 Korea's Best Universities-Top 10" published by Joong-Ang Daily. Ten college 3-yr nursing schools were selected based on colleges in Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing 2010. Results: 1) Generally 4-yr nursing schools maintained the relationships between organizational philosophy/purposes and subjects in the general education curriculum. But 3-yr nursing schools did not. 2) In 4-yr nursing schools there was a relatively higher credits ratio of general education curriculum and selective courses than in 3-yr nursing schools. 3) In 4-yr nursing schools variety of courses was relatively higher than 3-yr nursing schools. 4) In 4-yr nursing schools, operating conditions were relatively better (number of tenure professors, ratio of professors to students, Identification of exclusive organization in charge of the general education curriculum) for the general education curriculum than 3-yr nursing schools. Conclusion: The results identify significant differences in the general education curriculum of 4-yr and 3-yr nursing schools in Korea, indicating that 3-yr nursing schools should make efforts to improve the good quality of general education curriculum.

초등정보과학영재 선발을 위한 평가문항의 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of the Selective Test Item for the Gifted of Elementary Information Science)

  • 본 논문에서는 초등정보과학영재의 선발을 위한 평가문항을 개발하고 학교 현장에 적용한 결과를 분석하여 개발 문항의 타당도를 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 다음과 같은 단계를 통하여 연구를 진행하였다. 첫째, 다양한 측면에서 정보과학영재에 대한 특성을 분석한 후 정보과학영재를 정의하였다. 둘째, 제7차 초등수학교육과정 속의 이산수학적 요소를 분석하여 초등정보과학영재의 선발을 위한 평가문항을 개발하였다. 셋째, 개발한 평가문항을 학교현장에 투입하여 다양한 관점의 결과를 분석하였다.
