A web crawler is used widely in a variety of Internet applications such as search engines. As the Internet continues to grow, high performance web crawlers become more essential. Crawl scheduling which manages the allocation of web pages to each process for downloading documents is one of the important issues. In this paper, we identify issues that are important and challenging in the crawl scheduling. To address the issues, we propose a dynamic owl scheduling framework and subsequently a system architecture for a web crawler subject to the framework. This paper presents the architecture of a web crawler with dynamic scheduling support. The result of our preliminary performance evaluation made to the proposed crawler architecture is also presented.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze the baby moisturizers and give information about basis of herbal moisturizer. Methods : We selected 243 goods by searching with keywords as "baby moisturizer" at 6 major web search engines, 12 web shopping malls in Korea. 10 items were evaluated under three evaluation criteria such as type of product, ingredient and function of goods. Results : Study resulted that the most type of moisturizers were lotion type. 80% of the products contained medical agents. Ingredients of medical agents were herbal medicine, aroma oil, vitamin and extract. The moisturizer for atopic dermatitis contained ceramide about half. The ingredient of herbal medicine existed usually as excipients, not as active ingredient. Conclusion : It is necessary to study and develop new products contained herbal medicine as active ingredient based on the oriental medical theory.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how and which meta tags are used, which meta tags are used frequently, and what relationships there are between retrieval of WWW documents and meta tags. For the study, 1,000 WWW documents were selected and examined from OCLC NetFirst. The total of 92 meta tags was discovered and "description" and "keywords"meta tags were analyzed intensively. In addition, analysis of WWW documents showed that there are no significant relationships in meta tag usages between documents retrieved at the beginning and documents retrieved at the end. Comparative study between general internet search engines and commercial DBs such as NetFirst is suggested as a further study.

Understanding the development of a skull deformity requires an understanding of the normal morphogenesis of the cranium. Craniosynostosis is the premature, pathologic ossification of one or more cranial sutures leading to skull deformities. A review of the English medical literature using textbooks and standard search engines was performed to gather information about the prenatal development and growth of the cranial vault of the neurocranium. A process of morphogenic sequencing begins during prenatal development and growth, continues postnatally, and contributes to the basis for the differential manner of growth of cranial vault bones. This improved knowledge might facilitate comprehension of the pathophysiology of craniosynostosis.

Purpose : To review studies about voice diagnosis in orieltal medicine Method : The papers reviewed in this study were searched through internet search engines. For chinese studies, China National Knowledge Infrastructure(www.cnki.net) was the main source of the information and the key words for Voice diagnosis studies were "(語聲)", "(聲診)", and (TCM). Conclusions : In Oriental Medicine, There are two ways to research about voices. One way is to research through philological consideration with subjectical and experimental diagnosis & studies as human bowel related in traditional studies. The other way is to research through Computerized Speech Lab(CSL), differential diagnosis for Sasang constitution and disease.

Well-Being과 관련해서 삶의 질과 관련된 관심이 증가하면서 와인의 관심과 수요가 증가하고 있다. 이와 같은 시기에 와인의 종류 또는 와인과 어울리는 음식과 같은 여러 가지 지식에 관한 서비스를 온톨로지를 이용하여 사용자가 와인에 관한 정보를 보다 효율적으로 얻도록 하는 것이 필요 된다. 본 연구에서는 와인 온톨로지를 기반으로 시멘틱웹 기술을 활용한 와인 지식 검색 서비스 설계를 제안한다.

웹 검색 엔진들은 질의에 대한 문서의 적합성을 판단하기 위한 방법의 하나로 근접도를 사용한다. 근접도는 키워드의 순서를 고려하지 않는 방식과 순서를 고려하는 방식이 모두 연구되어왔다. 본 논문에서는 k개 키워드의 순서를 모두 고려하는 근접도 문제를 위한 O(n) 시간 알고리즘을 제시한다. 이때, n은 k개의 키워드가 문서에 나타난 전체 횟수이다. 또한 실험을 통해 이전 연구 결과보다 k=2인 경우는 약 1.2배의 속도 향상을, k=5인 경우는 3배 이상의 속도 향상이 있음을 보인다.

본 연구에서는 시맨틱 웹 기술을 이용해 뉴스의 동향을 분석하는 서비스를 제안한다. 뉴스 동향 분석 서비스는 뉴스들 간의 시간흐름 또는 관계들을 분석해 줄 수 있기 때문에 현재의 일반적인 뉴스검색 엔진보다 지능적인 검색 결과를 보여줄 수 있다. 이러한 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 시간 정보에 대한 추론 기능이 필요하지만 OWL과 같은 시맨틱 웹 언어는 이를 지원하지 못하기 때문에 시간 기반 추론을 지원하기 위해 본 연구에서는 OWL을 확장한 TL-OWL(Temporal Web Ontology Language)을 제안한다.

이 연구는 인터넷자원의 분류를 위한 새로운 정보통신기술 분야 분류체계를 작성하는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자, 첫째, 정보통신의 개념과 정보통신 기술의 구분을 관련 문헌을 조사하여 분석하고, 둘째, 정보통신기술 분야 인터넷 자원을 분류함에 있어서 기존의 문헌분류체계의 적용과 관련하여 십진분류표, 비십진분류표 민 특수분류표로 나누어 그 분류체계를 파악하며, 셋째, 디렉토리 검색엔진을 이용한 분류에 대해서 국내외의 관려 웹사이트를 조사·분석하였다. 아울러 분석결과를 토대로 정보통신기술 분야의 새로운 분류체계의 구성 방안을 제시하였다.

메타 검색 엔진은 여러 검색 엔진의 결과를 통합해 한 화면에 보여주기 때문에 사용자가 한번에 많은 검색 엔진을 사용하는 효과를 준다. 메타 검색에서 사용하고 있는 부리언 질의는 다른 검색 엔진의 연산자를 모두 수용할 수 없기 때문에 고유의 연산자를 정의하여 사용하고 있다. 이때, 메타 검색에서 사용하는 연산자가 검색 엔진에서 제공되지 않으면 사용자 입력 질의를 정화하게 검색 엔진으로 전달하지 못하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 각 검색 엔진의 연산자를 조사 및 분석하여 검색 엔진 대표 연산자를 추출하고, 연산자에 우선 순위를 두어 검색 엔진에서 제공하는 연산자로 질의를 재구성하는 방법을 이용함으로서 이러한 문제를 해결하였고, 메타 검색을 위한 새로운 질의 변환 전략을 제시한다. 그리고, 연산자 매핑 테이블과 URL 매핑 테이블을 이용한 메타 검색의 질의 처리 구조를 설계한다. 이것은 메타 검색으로 입력된 사용자 질의를 정확하게 검색 엔진으로 전달하여 사용자가 원하는 정보를 제공함으로서 사용자가 신뢰도를 향상시키게 된다.
