Gender Differences in the Effects of Weight, Weight Perception, and Weight Satisfaction on Depression in Adolescents

  • Purpose: This study aims to investigate gender differences in the association between depressive symptoms and weight, weight perception, and body satisfaction among Korean adolescents. Methods: A secondary data analysis was performed on data from 33,374 adolescents who participated in the 2015 Adolescent Health Behavior Online Survey. They were classified as underweight, normal weight, or overweight/obese; weight perception was classified into perception of being underweight, normal weight, or overweight/obese; and weight satisfaction into desire to gain weight, satisfied, and desire to lose weight. Results: Among boys, perception of being underweight (adjusted odds ratio [AOR]: 1.20, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.07~1.35) and desire to gain weight (AOR: 1.45, 95% CI: 1.30~1.62) were associated with depression. Among girls, perception of being overweight or obese (AOR: 1.18, 95% CI: 1.07~1.29) and a desire to lose weight (AOR: 1.30, 95% CI: 1.18~1.42) were associated with depression. Conclusion: Gender differences were observed in the association between weight perception and depression in adolescents. The perception of being underweight among boys and the perception of being overweight/overweight among girls were associated with depression. Thus, gender-specific intervention programs to correct weight perception and weight satisfaction are needed in order to relieve depressive symptoms in adolescents.

  • B2C(Business to Customer) 산업에 있어 효율적인 성과관리를 위해서는 고객이 원하는 서비스 요소를 추론하여 고객이 원하는 서비스를 제공하고 그 결과를 평가하여 지속적으로 서비스품질 및 성과를 향상 할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 그것을 위한 중요한 요소는 고객 만족도의 정확한 피드백인데 현재 국내에는 고객의 만족도 측정에 대한 정량적이고 표준화된 시스템이 열악한 상황이다. 최근 얼굴표정 및 생체데이터를 감지하여 사람의 감정을 인식하는 휴대폰 및 관련서비스 기술에 관한 연구가 증가하고 있다. 얼굴에서의 감정인식은 현재 연구되어지는 여러 가지 감정인식 중에서 효율적이고 자연스러운 휴먼 인터페이스로 기대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 효율적인 얼굴감정 인식에 대한 분석을 하고 고객의 얼굴감정인식을 이용하여 고객의 만족도를 추론할 수 있는 고객피드백시스템을 제안한다.

로컬호텔과 체인호텔 종사자의 직무만족, 이직의도, 조직몰입에 관한 연구 (The Study on Job Satisfaction, Turnover Intention and Organization Commitment of Employees in Domestic Independent Hotel and International Chain Hotels)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the job satisfaction, turnover intention and organization commitment level of hotel employees using Herzberg's motivation hygiene theory. This study used SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0 to conduct frequency analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis and chi-square difference test. The results of study, first of all, Herzberg's, theory of hygiene are influenced by satisfaction of employees, organization commitment and turnover intention. It will be strongly needed to management of compensation, well-organized policy of human resources system. Lastly, in Hotel business, It showed differences having a strong influence on local employee and chain hotel employee according to method of Hotel management. In conclusion, in the hospitality industry, it is desirable to carry out on their own ways of vision and purpose each corporations rather than following regimental rules.

군 급식에 대한 장병들의 만족도 (Soldier Satisfaction with Military Food Service)

  • This study was performed to investigate the soldiers' preference for meals provided and their satisfaction with military food service. The average daily calorific intake was 3,976 kcal, representing an extra 467 kcal over the 3,500 kcal state as the minimum daily kcal needed for each soldier based on the manual of the Korea Ministry of Defence. The soldiers preferred Korean food to Western food. The soldiers' overall satisfaction was researched in 7 areas such as quality and hygiene. They were pleased with two facts: holiday food is provided occasionally and the food is served quickly. However, they were dissatisfied with two issues: the poor nutritional information of the food, and the low frequency of special meals. The variety of choice needs to be improved and the cooks need to be better trained. When providers plan the food time table, a sensational menu needs to be considered to satisfy the soldiers' taste. To improve the quality of military meal food, new systems aye necessary such as food schedule, nutritional goal and different systems with independent food providing for the company's involvement.

패션 라이프스타일 숍의 체험마케팅 만족도가 구매 의도 및 충성도에 미치는 영향 (The impact of the experience marketing satisfaction with fashion lifestyle shops on purchase intention and loyalty)

  • With the greater importance of lifestyle shops and experience marketing, research is needed for the effective experience marketing of lifestyle shops by fashion product type. This study establishes effective and differentiated experience marketing strategies for fashion lifestyle shops by examining the effect of the experience marketing satisfaction with lifestyle shops on purchase intention and loyalty. This study categorizes lifestyle shops by fashion product types into a suit-oriented lifestyle shop, a casual/leisure/sportswear-oriented lifestyle shop and a home fashion lifestyle shop, Then a survey was conducted on participants who had visited lifestyle shop. As an analysis method, factor analysis, reliability analysis and regression analysis were conducted. In this study, we identified the experience marketing factors of fashion lifestyle shops. This study found that the satisfaction from experience marketing factors of fashion lifestyle shops by fashion product types affected purchase intention and loyalty differently. Considering the results of this study, it will be able to increase not only purchase intention and loyalty but also brand sustainability by establishing, applying, and executing a differentiated strategy considering the detailed factors of experience marketing for each fashion product type when planning and operating a fashion lifestyle shop. Through this study, effective marketing of fashion lifestyle shops by fashion product type will be implemented.

호텔.외식 조리 종사원의 직무 만족이 이직 의도에 미치는 영향 - 대구 지역 조리 종사원을 대상으로 - (A Study on Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention of Cuisine Employees in the Hotel and Food Service Industry - Focusing on the Cuisine Employees in the Daegu City -)

  • 본 연구는 선행 연구의 고찰을 통하여 호텔과 외식업체에 종사하는 조리 종사원의 직무 만족과 이직 의도의 구성차원과 측정방법을 이론적으로 정립하고 실증적으로 연구하여, 조리 종사원의 직무 만족과 이직 의도의 관계규명을 통하여 조리 종사원의 합리적이고 효율적인 인사 관리에 관한 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 실증분석은 대구 지역 호텔과 레스토랑에 근무하는 조리 종사원을 대상으로 하였으며, SPSS/WIN 12.0을 이용하여 254부의 설문 중 239부를 분석에 사용되었다. 그 결과, 호텔과 외식업체 조리직 종사원의 직무 만족은 이직 의도를 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 경영자는 비용을 감소시키고 경영 성과를 제고하기 위하여 직무 만족을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하여야 하며, 종사원의 직무 만족이 경영 성과에 직 간접적으로 영향을 미치며 이직 의도를 감소시킴으로 인하여 양호한 팀웍을 형성할 수 있음을 인식하여야 할 것이다.

대학 연구실험실 안전환경과 교육시간에 대한 만족도 조사 (A Satisfaction Survey On the Safety Environment and Education Time in University Laboratories)

  • This paper seeks to survey and analyze the status of obligatory execution from key institutional aspects that have taken effect according to laws on creating safe environment for laboratory and of general details such as the level of satisfaction on the part of people engaged in research activity regarding the laws after they have taken effect. The subjects of this study were MA and PhD graduate students in science and engineering who are primarily involved in research. This questionnaire survey was focused on finding basic data required for safety education for researcher and for efficient safety management by examining the correlation between education time and level of satisfaction. The collected data were analyzed by using frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, one way anova by SPSS12 package. The results obtained by this study are as follow. 1) Awarences of safety management rules, ordinary inspection, safety education were around 70% and other law clauses were around 50%. 2) The general satisfaction after the Laboratory Safety Act enforcement was usual level with 4.72 points in 7. 3) Researchers demanded ordinary inspection and protective equipment in a safe environmental composition. 4) The safety education time for improvement of a safe consciousness level was needed 12h or 24h at 1 years.

일부 지역 여고생들의 성태도, 성행동 및 자아탄력성에 관한 연구 (Sexual Attitudes, Sexual Behaviors and Ego-Resilience of Girl's High School Students)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship among sexual attitudes, sexual behaviors and ego-resilience of girl's high school students. Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive study was conducted. The subjects were 284 students from 4 girl's high schools. Data were collected on September, 2010 by using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using PASW/WIN 18.0 program. Results: Sexual attitude showed significant differences according to satisfaction level with school and teachers. Sexual behavior showed significant differences according to satisfaction level with teachers, smoking and alcohol drinking experiences. The ego-resilience of the subjects was significantly different in terms of satisfaction level with school and teachers. And there were significant correlations among sexual attitudes, sexual behaviors and ego-resilience respectively. Conclusions: These results suggest that the school life and teachers have important duties to manage sexual issues of the girl students. Therefore, it is needed to develop intervention program for the girl students to improve satisfaction level with school and teachers.

여자경찰 기동대원들의 경찰보호복에 대한 착용실태 및 만족도에 관한 연구 (An analysis on satisfaction of protective clothing for riot policewomen)

  • This study is to examine the satisfaction of protective clothing for riot policewomen. The protective clothing that riot policewomen currently wear are not suitable for them because they are structurally designed for men. A survey was conducted about satisfaction of protective clothing for 190 riot policewomen who work in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. This study focused on functionality and comfort of the protective clothing. It examined overall condition of protective clothing and policewomen's satisfaction in terms of safety, activity, fitness, comfort, convenience and design. The first three aspects were examine to measure its functionality and the last three to measure its comfort. Most results show under 3 out of 5 point in terms of functions and comfort level. In conclusion, it is strongly recommended that new design which fits better to women according to their body structures and sizes as well as new fabric materials that permeability better are needed.
