Parents' interest and care are very important for their children in the process of growing up, but parenting is also very unfamiliar and difficult for themselves. Parents constantly need information related to parenting, and in order to solve this problem, they try to obtain information through informal meetings or social relationships among parents at an individual level, which often brings up conflicts and stresses. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of social networks among parents and to understand the influence of the network characteristics on information-sharing intention and information-sharing satisfaction. To this end, a survey questionnaire was developed based on previous studies and was administered among parents whose children are in a daycare center. Then, the data was analyzed using social network analysis (SNA) method. Findings indicate that the correlation among the social networks, the information -sharing intention, and the information-sharing satisfaction was significant, but the influence of the social networks on the information-sharing intention, and the information-sharing satisfaction was not established. It was also found that the intention to receive help was higher than the desire to help others. Policy suggestions to meet parents' information needs and the need to reconsider the role of local public libraries were presented.

Human networks can be an important means of solving various information problems including tacit knowledge, as an essential channel of knowledge sharing. Particularly, in the case of a teacher librarian(or librarian) of a school library composed of one person in the organization, the human networks for work can be more effective with people outside the organization who are in charge of the same duties than with members inside the organization. Thus, this study aims at exploring the characteristics of the personal networks related to the work of teacher librarians and understanding the effect of these network characteristics on job satisfaction and role ambiguity resolution. A survey was conducted on one of the teacher librarian associations in Seoul, and the collected data were analyzed using social network analysis(SNA) method. As a result, it was found that personal networking of teacher librarians is active in experienced teacher librarians, while those with shorter career have fewer channels of help-seeking. Also, the characteristics of personal networking do not affect job satisfaction and the resolution of role ambiguity. Based on these results, this study proposes the expansion of collaborating and networking among teacher librarians to solve information problems in a single-person workplace.

This study seeks to analyze the needs of biotechnology companies in relation to their entry into the marine biotechnology industry and to discuss the policy implications associated with empirical tasks based on issues raised from empirical results gathered from a survey data of 200 biotechnology companies in Korea. This study made a comparison between marine and non-marine biotechnology companies and analyzed non-marine biotechnology companies' needs related to their entry into the marine biotechnology companies by using Social Network Analysis (SNA). Empirical results indicate that 23.5% of biotechnology companies produce goods using marine bio-resources. Once the utility of marine bio-resources is established, 58.8% of non-marine biotechnology companies intend to enter the marine biotechnology industry. This study also shows that non-marine biotechnology companies need technical support, information sharing, and the acquisition of raw materials to enter the marine biotechnology industry. The findings in this study provide important pointers for the direction of policies and future research in the area of marine biotechnology industry.

This exploratory study analyzed the structure of collaborative network among small libraries. The survey was conducted with the small libraries in Bucheon region. In order to analyze the structural features of the network, this study used social network analysis methods. The results of the study indicate that public small libraries has high density networks with other small libraries and performed a central role in the whole network. Private small libraries were, however, isolated in the whole network indicating their weak collaboration with other small libraries.

Objectives : The purposes of the study was to evaluate cephalometric characteristics in snorers and patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and to see any relationships between the cephalometric measurements and respiratory disturbance indices (RDI). Materials and Methods : Twelve snoring patients, 11 patients with OSA, and 10 normal subjects were included for the study. After taking a screening sleep study for a night to obtain RDI, $SaO_2$, and snoring index, a detailed cephalometric analysis was conducted to obtain SNA, SNB, SN-MP, IAS, MAS, SPAS, SAAS, Mn-H, and PNS-P. All the data were compared between groups. For a group including 12 snoring patients and 11 OSA patients, correlation coefficients were calculated between respiratory disturbance index and each item of cephalometric measurements. Results : The mandible and the maxilla are retropositioned. The oropharyngeal and hypopharyngeal airway is reduced in area and is a factor that could produce or enhance OSA symptoms. The hyoid bone is displaced inferiorly. The soft palate is significantly elongated. Conclusions : These data suggest that cephalometric evaluation could be useful to evaluate snoring and OSA patients, and to assist with the planning treatment for improvement of upper airway patency.

첨단과학의 발달과 정보화 시대는 전쟁수행 패러다임을 근본적으로 변화시키고 있다. 이러한 전장 환경의 변화와 더불어 군 내부에서도 정보기술의 급격한 변화를 적극적으로 수용하고 21세기 국방을 건설하기 위한 국방 정보화 목표를 앞당기기 위해 수많은 정보기술체계를 도입하고 적용하고 있다. 이러한 수많은 체계들의 유입 속에서 각 체계간의 상관관계를 규명하여 효과적으로 사용하는 것은 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있으며, 이러한 문제의 해결방법으로 최근에 대두되고 있는 방법론이 사회연결망 분석(SNA : Social Network Analysis)이다. 사회연결만 분석은 무수히 많은 정보의 홍수 속에서 그들의 관계를 파악하고, 임무수행에 필요한 중요 노드를 식별하여 불필요한 자원을 낭비 하지 않은 중요한 요소를 분석 할 수 있는 유용한 방법론으로 사회, 문화 전반에 걸쳐 활발히 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 사회연결망분석을 통해 지휘통제체계와 연계된 노드간의 관계를 규명하고, 관계망속에 속한 정보의 획득 및 흐름을 파악하여 이를 시각화하고자 한다. 이를 통해 현재 운용중인 지휘통제체계 구조에 대해 이해하기 쉽고, 용이하게 파악 할 수 있으며, 이를 기반으로 지휘구조의 조직과 조직적인 행동과 현상을 도출하고, 향후 군 네트워크 파워를 측정 할 수 있다.

Unlike the traditional belief that knowledge flows along the formal reporting procedures, recent social network research has reported the importance of informal social networks which may play a critical role as the real knowledge conduits. In fact, as a complementary approach of utilizing knowledge management systems (KMSs), many firms have focused on managing informal knowledge flow through which to acquire and transfer valuable knowledge in a fast and effective way. In a case of global companies that have newly developed foreign branches or subsidiaries, due to cultural or institutional differences and lack of understanding of knowledge management and its benefits, they often have difficulties in activating knowledge sharing in local branches. In these situations, diagnosing organizational knowledge flow through SNA can be a first step to solve the problems. Therefore, in this paper, I report on the result of case study on a foreign branch of "A" global company by identifying organizational knowledge paths. Based on the results of the diagnosis, some implications and insights for building knowledge management (KM) strategy specified for a newly developed foreign branch will also be discussed.

A terminology system capable of providing interpretations and classification information on a multilingual science and technology(S&T) terminology is essential to establish an integrated search environment for multilingual S&T information systems. This paper aims to build a base system to manage an integrated information system for multilingual S&T terminology search. It introduces a method to build a search system for S&T terminologies internally linked through the multilingual semantic network and a search technique on the multiple linked nodes. In order to provide a foundation for further analysis researches, it also attempts to suggest a basic approach to interpret terminology clusters generated with those two search methods.

Global construction and engineering consulting (E&C) firms are actively seeking entry into overseas markets based on loan projects from multilateral development banks to provide a basis for entry into overseas markets and sustainable growth. Bids on these projects are competitive between global top firms in terms of the technical level and price due to the limited number of projects; thus, developing a successful partnership to complement competence has become an essential element to win bids. In this regard, many studies have analyzed enterprises through characteristic analyses or the derivation of influential factors from the past social networks based on social network analysis (SNA). However, few studies have been conducted to reflect the process of changes to analyze collaborative relationships. Thus, this study aims to identify dynamic changes in past social networks and develop a model that can predict changes in the relationships between E&C firms based on similarities or differences between firms, presenting a methodology to target firms for appropriate collaboration. The analysis results demonstrate that the sensitivity of the developed prediction model was 70.26%, which could accurately predict 163 out of 232 actual cooperative cases.

As the need for the use of big data increases, various analysis activities using big data, including SNS data, are being carried out in individuals, companies, and countries. However, existing research on predicting technology market trends has been mainly conducted using expert-dependent or patent or literature research-based data, and objective technology prediction using big data is needed. Therefore, this study aims to present a model for predicting future technologies through decision tree analysis, visualization analysis, and percentage analysis with data from social network services (SNS). As a result of the study, percentage analysis was better able to predict positive techniques compared to other analysis results, and visualization analysis was better able to predict negative techniques compared to other analysis results. The decision tree analysis was also able to make meaningful predictions.
