ON THE DIFFERENCE EQUATION $x_{n+1}=\frac{a+bx_{n-k}-cx_{n-m}}{1+g(x_{n-l})}$

  • In this paper we consider the difference equation $$x_{n+1}=\frac{a+bx_{n-k}\;-\;cx_{n-m}}{1+g(x_{n-l})}$$ where a, b, c are nonegative real numbers, k, l, m are nonnegative integers and g(x) is a nonegative real function. The oscillatory and periodic character, the boundedness and the stability of positive solutions of the equation is investigated. The existence and nonexistence of two-period positive solutions are investigated in details. In the last section of the paper we consider a generalization of the equation.

  • What is CRM(Customer Relationship Management) means that planning, executing, and re-accessing the marketing strategy based on the customer character by analyzing the material related to customers. That is CRM is a strategy of customer service on the base of data. In the case of the telecommunications and a newspaper, there are restricted application of CRM, because they are provided services by paying a given amount of money within a given period of time. This paper develops CRM model(chum prediction model) that can apply to a newspaper. For model-building, real data were used which were collected from one of the major a newspaper company in Korea. Also, this paper verifies the efficient result.

  • 헨리셀릭은 동화적 세계관을 기초하여 이원화된 상황 설정으로 주인공을 현실과 가상세계의 혼돈영역에 위치하게 만든다. 이러한 두 공간의 역할에 따른 초현실주의 이미지의 재현이 애니메이션의 표현기법을 확장해주고 있으며, 동시에 프로덕션 디자인의 새로운 가능성을 제시해준다. 디테일한 프로덕션 디자인작업으로 유명한 애니메이션 감독 헨리 셀릭의 작품들을 분석 연구하고, 그의 작품 속에 초현실주의의 데페이즈망 기법이 어떻게 반영되어있는지를 알아본다.

Spatial Information Based Simulator for User Experience's Optimization

  • In this paper, we propose spatial information based simulator for user experience optimization and minimize real space complexity. We focus on developing simulator how to design virtual space model and to implement virtual character using real space data. Especially, we use expanded events-driven inference model for SVM based on machine learning. Our simulator is capable of feature selection by k-fold cross validation method for optimization of data learning. This strategy efficiently throughput of executing inference of user behavior feature by virtual space model. Thus, we aim to develop the user experience optimization system for people to facilitate mapping as the first step toward to daily life data inference. Methodologically, we focus on user behavior and space modeling for implement virtual space.

  • 최근에 다양한 분야에서 캐릭터 표정을 생성하는데 연기자 기반 표정 캡쳐 방법을 널리 사용하고 있다. 특히, 방송이나 게임 등의 분야에서는 실시간 요소와 연기자와 외형상의 차이가 큰 캐릭터의 경우에도 표정 표현이 가능한 다양성이 중요한 문제가 된다. 본 논문에서는 연기자 얼굴에서 캡쳐한 표정을 다양한 얼굴 모델에 적용하는 새로운 표정 애니메이션 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법을 사용하면 최소의 실시간 비용으로 캐릭터 표정을 생성하고 제어하는 것이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 세 가지 핵심 이슈로서 얼굴 표정 캡쳐, 표정 대입, 표정 애니메이션을 다룬다. 그리고 연기자와 얼굴 모델 간의 특성이 매우 상이한 다양한 경우에 대하여 실험결과를 보여줌으로써 접근방식의 유효성을 증명한다.

  • We have developed a real-time software tool to extract a speech feature vector whose time sequences consist of three groups of vector components; the phonetic/acoustic features such as formant frequencies, the phonemic features as outputs on neural networks, and some distances of Japanese phonemes. In those features, since the phoneme distances for Japanese five vowels are applicable to express vowel articulation, we have designed a switch, a volume control and a color representation which are operated by pronouncing vowel sounds. As examples of those vowel interface, we have developed some speech training tools to display a image character or a rolling color ball and to control a cursor's movement for aurally- or vocally-handicapped children. In this paper, we introduce the functions and the principle of those systems.

  • One of the most difficult tasks in the process of car license plate is the extraction of each character from within license plate region. This paper presents a real-time recognition of car licence number using neural network in parking lot. The feature parameters of letters and numbers of license plate are extracted by thinning algorithm. Both feature parameters are used to train neural networks for the image recognition.

신용카드 번호의 광학적 인식 (Optical Recognition of Credit Card Numbers)

  • This paper proposes a new optical recognition method of credit card numbers. Firstly, the proposed method segments numbers from the input image of a credit card. It uses the significant differences of standard deviations between the foreground numbers and the background. Secondly, the method extracts gradient features from the segmented numbers. The gradient features are defined as four directions of grayscale pixels for 16 regions of an input number. Finally, it utilizes an artificial neural network classifier that uses an error back-propagation algorithm. The proposed method is implemented using C language in an embedded Linux system for a high-speed real-time image processing. Experiments were conducted by using real credit card images. The results show that the proposed algorithm is quite successful for most credit cards. However, the method fails in some credit cards with strong background patterns.

Real-Time Face Avatar Creation and Warping Algorithm Using Local Mean Method and Facial Feature Point Detection

  • Human face avatar is important information in nowadays, such as describing real people in virtual world. In this paper, we have presented a face avatar creation and warping algorithm by using face feature analysis method, in order to detect face feature, we utilized local mean method based on facial feature appearance and face geometric information. Then detect facial candidates by using it's character in $YC_bC_r$ color space. Meanwhile, we also defined the rules which are based on face geometric information to limit searching range. For analyzing face feature, we used face feature points to describe their feature, and analyzed geometry relationship of these feature points to create the face avatar. Then we have carried out simulation on PC and embed mobile device such as PDA and mobile phone to evaluate efficiency of the proposed algorithm. From the simulation results, we can confirm that our proposed algorithm will have an outstanding performance and it's execution speed can also be acceptable.

  • 본 논문은 안드로이드에서 화면 캡쳐와 OCR을 통한 실시간 번역 애플리케이션 개발을 주제로 한다. 코틀린으로 개발된 애플리케이션은 사용자가 원하는 화면 영역을 캡쳐하여 해당 텍스트를 OCR로 추출하고, 구글 Cloud Vision API와 Cloud Translation API를 활용해 번역한다. 이를 통해 외국어 애플리케이션 사용의 편의성을 향상시키고, 정보의 이해와 공유를 도울 수 있음을 제시한다. 이 기술은 더욱 다양한 분야에서의 활용 가능성을 열어놓고 있다.
