The objective of this study was to investigate factors that could bring about successful implementation of extensive reading using online/offline blended English library system called 'Reading Gate' in primary and secondary schools. Although there are a great number of studies on effects of various extensive reading on linguistic, cognitive, and affective development, few studies have investigated how extensive reading programs can be implemented at large scale, e.g., whole school level. After analyzing students' reading levels in 200 schools using the same online extensive reading program called Reading Gate, results showed that while some schools were successful, others were not. Five primary and 13 middle schools were selected as successful schools. Data on implementation of the program of schools was gathered. Eighteen teachers and seven headteachers took part in the interview. After analyzing these data on the implementation of the extensive reading program, results revealed that the following five factors for successful implementation of blended extensive reading programs: online level-up system, teacher intervention, integration with the curriculum, school-level support, and parents' awareness of literacy. This suggests that each factor might have contributed to the successful implementation of the extensive reading program at large scale. Implications and applications of this finding are discussed in this study.

본 연구에서는 서울시 24개 공공도서관의 문화 프로그램과 독서 활동의 실태를 파악하고 활성화 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 선행된 연구를 통해 공공도서관의 문화 프로그램 및 독서 활동에 대한 이론적 근거를 살펴보고 본 연구의 대상이 되는 서울시 24개 공공도서관의 문화 프로그램과 독서 활동의 실태를 조사 분석한다. 또한 새로운 문화 패러다임의 모델로 노원어린이도서관 독서활동 특성화 프로젝트를 소개한다.

본 연구의 목적은 공공도서관에서 이루어지고 있는 어린이 대상 독서프로그램의 효과를 정성적으로 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 독서프로그램의 성과 측정 영역을 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위해 '2013 도서관과 함께 책읽기' 사업에 참여하는 도서관의 독서프로그램 어린이들, 프로그램 담당자들과 면담 및 관찰을 하였고 독서프로그램의 효과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 '도서관과 함께 책읽기' 프로그램에 참가한 어린이들은 대체로 긍정적인 변화를 보였으며 독서프로그램의 효과 측정 영역이 책 읽기와 책에 대한 태도, 도서관과 사서에 대한 인식, 독서프로그램의 참여도, 소리 내어 읽는 능력, 이야기를 듣고 이해하는 능력, 공격성, 자신의 감정표현 능력, 발표력, 집중력, 잠재력으로 나타났다. 또한 독서프로그램의 효과에 영향을 주는 요소로 사서의 적극적인 노력, 지역아동센터의 환경, 학년 구성, 강사의 수업 구성 방식, 독서프로그램에서 사용하는 책의 선정, 독서프로그램 참가 어린이의 독서능력 및 독서에 대한 관심, 자유시간의 제공 여부를 들 수 있었다.

이 연구는 고등학생 대상 보드게임 기반 독서교육 프로그램이 학생들의 자아존중감 및 독서태도에 미치는 영향과 만족도를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 10차시로 구성된 독서활동 프로그램을 개발하여, 독서교육을 실시하였으며, 자아존중감 및 독서태도의 사전-사후 차이 분석을 통하여 독서교육과의 영향 관계를 입증하고, 독서교육 전 과정에 대한 평가 절차로 만족도 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 보드게임 기반 독서활동 프로그램을 활용한 독서교육은 학생들의 자아존중감과 독서태도에 영향을 미치며, 학생들의 독서태도 역량과 독서 동기 강화에 도움이 되었고, 만족도 또한 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate a parent-child reading interaction program. Based on the importance of the parent-child relationship and the home literacy environment vis-a-vis the extent to which reading is encouraged, and with regard to the existing empirical research in this field, a five-session parent-child reading interaction program has been developed, targeting 18 parents with children enrolled in th lower grades of elementary school. The effectiveness of this program has been evaluated by a pretest and post test and then analyzed by a paired t-test. The findings are as follows: 1) Following the implementation of this program, there were improvements in scores related to the home literacy environment, the encouragement of reading, and the attitude of the child toward reading. 2) In addition, there was an increase in the level of the mother's "rational guidance" parenting while tendencies toward overprotective and hostile parenting traits declined. The importance of the parent-child relationship and home literacy environment concerning reading guidance was discussed.

독서지도자와 지도대상자간의 상호 독서활동을 전개하는 독서캠프 프로그램을 2000년도에 네 번 실시하는 과정에서 나타난 독서지도자와 지도대상자간의 독서활동에 관한 반응은 다음과 같다. $\circled1$ 독서지도자와 지도대상자들은 모두 독서캠프 프로그램에 적극적으로 참여했으며 지도대상자들이 더 적었으며, 자신의 생활관이나 독서관을 확립하는 계기는 독서지도자가 더 긍정적으로 나타났다. 독서캠프 프로그램에 참여하는 독서지도자나 지도대상자 모두 자신의 독서생활을 향상시키는데 많은 도움을 얻었는데, 특히 독서지도자가 더 많은 것을 터득하는 것으로 나타났다.

본 연구는 경기도에서 운영하고 있는 '노인 독서도우미' 교육 프로그램과 독서지도 활동이 이루어지는 방법에 대한 내용을 조사하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 노인독서도우미 프로그램의 운영 내용을 파악하기 위하여 경기도청의 프로그램 담당자에게 자료협조를 받았으며, 2011년 노인독서도우미 교육에 참가한 노인들을 대상으로 일반적 배경, 교육 참여 목적, 프로그램의 만족도, 개선방안 등에 대한 설문조사를 수행하였다. 설문지는 초급과정 136부, 중급과정에서 166부가 수집되어 분석에 사용되었다. 연구결과, 어르신 독서도우미 교육의 참여 목적은 일하는 즐거움, 자원봉사 등 개인의 문화적 활동이나 자아실현에 대한 의미가 강했으며 교육 프로그램과 독서지도 활동에 대한 만족도는 대체적으로 높게 나타났다. 개선되어야 할 점으로는 전문적인 내용의 교육, 활동기간의 연장, 지역아동센터의 적극적인 협조 등이 지적되었다.

본 연구에서는 공공도서관의 독서 활성화를 위해서 기존의 독서 교육이나 독서 프로그램과 차별화된 자관만의 특화서비스 프로그램 개발사례를 중심으로 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 기존 공공도서관의 기능에서 확대된 특화서비스 프로그램의 필요성. 프로그램 개발과 구축에 관하여 살펴본 후, 현재 국내 공공도서관의 독서 관련 활동, 한 도서관 한 책읽기 행사 현황과 미국 공공도서관의 독서활동 프로그램을 분석하였다. 또한, 독서 관련 특화서비스 프로그램의 개발 및 구축 사례 분석 결과를 통해 향후 공공도서관의 독서 활성화 방안을 제안하였다.

This research analyzed the effect of activity-centered reading band on Korean fairy tales on children's reading attitude and comprehension. The reading altitude of the experimental-group children exhibited more meaningful change in such subordinate areas as academic reading attitude. The academic reading attitude of the male experimental-group had higher improvement than that of the female experimental-group. In addition, the reading comprehension scores of the experimental-group children were higher than those of the control-group children. The reading program effects on reading comprehension were more meaningful in girls in the experimental group than boys in the group. Therefore, the results of this study have demonstrated the necessity of the development and application of a Korean fairy tales program for reading and an activity-centered reading program.

본 연구에서는 국립어린이청소년도서관에서 소외된 어린이를 위한 '도서관과 함께 책읽기' 사업과 연계한 프로그램으로 운영되었던 독서캠프 사례를 통하여 문제점 및 개선점을 조사하고 효과적인 독서캠프 프로그램으로 운영되기 위한 방안을 제안하였다. 이를 위하여 전국 6권역에서 개최된 독서캠프의 운영 사례를 조사하였다. 또한, 독서캠프에 참가한 어린이와 사서에게 독서캠프에 대한 의견을 설문지로 조사하여 독서캠프 운영상의 문제점을 파악하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 효과적인 독서캠프 프로그램의 운영 방안을 제시하고 개선방안을 도출하였다.
