PURPOSES : The dynamic modulus for a specimen can be determined by using either the non-destructed or destructed testing method. The Impact Resonance Testing (IRT) is the one of the non-destructed testing methods. The MTS has proved the source credibility and has the disadvantages which indicate the expensive equipment to operate and need a lot of manpower to manufacture the specimens because of the low repeatability with an experiment. To overcome these shortcomings from MTS, the objective of this paper is to compare the dynamic modulus obtained from IRT with MTS result and prove the source credibility. METHODS : The dynamic modulus obtained from IRT could be determined by using the Resonance Frequency (RF) from the Frequency Response Function (FRF) that derived from the Fourier Transform based on the Frequency Analysis of the Digital Signal Processing (DSP)(S. O. Oyadigi; 1985). The RF values are verified from the Coherence Function (CF). To estimate the error, the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) method could be used. RESULTS : The dynamic modulus data obtained from IRT have the maximum error of 8%, and RMSE of 2,000MPa compared to the dynamic modulus measured by the Dynamic Modulus Testing (DMT) of MTS testing machine. CONCLUSIONS : The IRT testing method needs the prediction model of the dynamic modulus for a Linear Visco-Elastic (LVE) specimen to improve the suitability.
From phytochemical screening of the seven species of Caryophyllaceae, that is, one species of Melandrium, and Dianthus and Pseudostellaria, two species of Stellaria and Cerastium the following compounds were identified. 1) aldehyde, sugars, other reducing compounds and glycosides from the above mentioned seven species of Caryophyllaceae were identified by thin layer chromatography method and comparison of Rf values with the standard substances. 2) Saponins, steroids and terpenoids showed positive reaction with the Froth testing in all of seven plants. Five species of plant showed positive reaction with Liebermann-Buchard test. 3) Flavonoid and polyphenolic compounds were identified by the spots in TLC-test and chlorogenic acid showed the same Rf values with the standard substances. 4) The spots of alkaloid were shown at Rf=0.68 (Stellaria aquatica) and at Rf=0.71 (Pseudostellaria palibiniana) and at Rf=0.70, and 0.44 (Dianthus sinensis).

This paper presents a new RF testing scheme based on a design-for-testability (DFT) method for measuring functional specifications of RF integrated circuits (IC). The proposed method provides input impedance. gain, noise figure. input voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of a low noise amplifier (LNA). The RF test scheme is based on theoretical expressions that produce the actual RF device specifications by output DC voltages from the DR chip.

Bulk Current Injection(BCI) test is a method of injecting current into Integrated Circuit(IC) using a current injection probe to qualify the standards of Electromagnetic Compatibility(EMC). This paper, we propose a microstrip coupler structure that can replace the BCI current injection probe that is used to inject a RF noise in standard IEC 62132-part 3 documented by International Electrotechnical Commission. Conventional high cost BCI probe has mostly been used in testing automotive ICs that use high supply voltage. We propose a compact microstrip coupler which is suitable for immunity testing of low power ICs. We tested its validity to replace the BCI injection probe from 100 MHz to 1,000 MHz. We compared the power[dBm] that is needed to generate the same level of noise between current injection probe and microstrip coupler by sweeping the frequency. Results show that microstrip coupler can inject the same level of noise into ICs for immunity test with less power.
In this paper, test-bed for the evaluation of wireless communication system on a small launch vehicle is proposed. The proposed test-bed consists of antenna test-coupler, RF attenuators, and RF switch modules. The antenna test-coupler isolates antennas for each band and transmits / receives wireless signals. The RF attenuator and switch are used for path selection of testing signal path. In design and measurement result of the antenna test-coupler, the antenna test-coupler has shielding effect higher than 39.3, 47.1, 56.1 dB at UHF-, S-, X-band. Through testing on small launch vehicle wireless communication system, we were able to successfully transmit and receive data between each test system and launch vehicle with antenna path switching.
The undrained shear strength of soil is considered one of the engineering parameters of utmost significance in geotechnical design methods. In-situ experiments like cone penetration tests (CPT) have been used in the last several years to estimate the undrained shear strength depending on the characteristics of the soil. Nevertheless, the majority of these techniques rely on correlation presumptions, which may lead to uneven accuracy. This research's general aim is to extend a new united soft computing model, which is a combination of random forest (RF) with grasshopper optimization algorithm (GOA) to the pile set-up parameters' better approximation from CPT, based on two different types of data as inputs. Data type 1 contains pile parameters, and data type 2 consists of soil properties. The contribution of this article is that hybrid GOA - RF for the first time, was suggested to forecast the pile set-up parameter from CPT. In order to do this, CPT data and related bore log data were gathered from 70 various locations across Louisiana. With an R2 greater than 0.9098, which denotes the permissible relationship between measured and anticipated values, the results demonstrated that both models perform well in forecasting the set-up parameter. It is comprehensible that, in the training and testing step, the model with data type 2 has finer capability than the model using data type 1, with R2 and RMSE are 0.9272 and 0.0305 for the training step and 0.9182 and 0.0415 for the testing step. All in all, the models' results depict that the A parameter could be forecasted with adequate precision from the CPT data with the usage of hybrid GOA - RF models. However, the RF model with soil features as input parameters results in a finer commentary of pile set-up parameters.
Many new radar techniques have appeared on the electronic scene in recent years, such as a variety of automatic computer processing. However, even with the advent of these sophisticated radar techniques, an old problem continues to plague all radars: the problem of transmission line losses. With the higher performance required today, the Waveguide testing and trouble-shooting techniques remain essentially unchanged in principle. This paper dealt with the rf pulse "Time-domain Reflectometry" to inspect radar wave-guide system and compared with the conventional methods. During the investigation, it was verified that the pulsed TDR for wave-guide is superior to the conventional methods; 1. Disassembling is not needed to locate the discontinity points and measure the reflections of trobled points. 2. The results of the data are more precise. 3. The condition of individual component is able to the photographed and recorded permanently. 4. Since rf pulse TDR is based on the well-known basic radar principle, such a test set requires the minimum of training to operate. With the level of transmission line problems, the prospect of increasing complexity of equipment, and no relief in sight, the benifits must be emphasizied to adopt such a testing procedure.procedure.
Determining the properties of pile from cone penetration test (CPT) is costly, and need several in-situ tests. At the present study, two novel hybrid learning models, namely PSO-RF and HHO-RF, which are an amalgamation of random forest (RF) with particle swarm optimization (PSO) and Harris hawks optimization (HHO) were developed and applied to predict the pile set-up parameter "A" from CPT for the design aim of the projects. To forecast the "A," CPT data along were collected from different sites in Louisiana, where the selected variables as input were plasticity index (PI), undrained shear strength (Su), and over consolidation ratio (OCR). Results show that both PSO-RF and HHO-RF models have acceptable performance in predicting the set-up parameter "A," with R2 larger than 0.9094, representing the admissible correlation between observed and predicted values. HHO-RF has better proficiency than the PSO-RF model, with R2 and RMSE equal to 0.9328 and 0.0292 for the training phase and 0.9729 and 0.024 for testing data, respectively. Moreover, PI and OBJ indices are considered, in which the HHO-RF model has lower results which leads to outperforming this hybrid algorithm with respect to PSO-RF for predicting the pile set-up parameter "A," consequently being specified as the proposed model. Therefore, the results demonstrate the ability of the HHO algorithm in determining the optimal value of RF hyperparameters than PSO.

The PD measurement method is very useful to detect insulation degradation. Recently, the HFPD(High Frequency Partial Discharge) measurement testing is widely used in partial discharge measurement of HV machines because HFPD measurement testing receives less influence of external noise and has a merit of good sensitivity. Therefore it is very useful method compare to previous conventional PD testing method and effective diagnosis method in power transformer that requires in-service diagnosis. But partial discharges have very complex characteristics of discharge pattern so it is required continuous research to development of precise analysis method. In this study, simulated transformer is manufactured and HFPD occurred from simulated transformer is measured with broad band antenna and active-line RF measurement system in real time, the degradation grade of transformer is analyzed through produced patterns in simulated transformer according to applied voltages. Also the PD pattern which was measured with EMC analyzer and RF measurement system is compared.

Telecommand & telemetry control equipment is needed for the testing of the transponders during the development of satellite. This equipment must have a loopback function to perform the self testing without satellite. The fabrication of the designed system is easier and cheaper than the conventional testing system using direct modulation method. The measured results of fabricated equipment are satisfied with required specifications. A overall path loss of uplink and downlink is 47.8 dB and 42.6 dB, respectively. Also, IMD3 of uplink has measured 60.68 dBc at an output of -50 dBm.
