An Conversion a RDF Schema into an UML Class Diagram (RDF 스키마에서 UML 클래스 다이어그램으로의 변환)

  • With increasing amounts of information on the web and needs to access accurately them, it is very important to standardize metadata and to store and manage system. The RDF(Rdsource Description Framework) is a framework for representing exchanging, and reusing metadata. And, it can be processing uniformly the standardized metadata, because it uses XML(eXtensible Markup Language) syntax. The RDF schema provides a basic type system for use RDF models. In this paper, we propose rules and an algorithm to convert the RDF schema into an UML(Unified Modeling Language) class diagram and formal models to represent an object-oriented schema for the RDF schema. The proposed rules and algorithm are useful for natural mapping and the object modeling of RDF schema can be easily converted into the object-oriented schema, and the formal models supports an efficient environment for retrieving and processing object-oriented documents.

  • 본 논문은 영상의 메타데이터를 RDF를 이용하여 표현, 저장하고, SPARQL을 이용하여 검색하는 솔루션을 구현하여, RDF와 SPARQL을 통한 멀티미디어 파일의 메타데이터 관리 방안을 제시한다. 솔루션은 Jena2 프레임워크 기반으로 구현하였으며, Controller, EXIF Extractor, Metadata Schema, RDF Generator, Repository Manager, SPARQL Executor의 모듈로 구성된다.

  • These days, home network connects all home appliances using one of broadband convergence network, is constructed and propagated to more than 10 million house hold. Users can monitor and control statuses of home appliances using mobile terminal through homeserver. For active propagation of home network, high-quality multimedia service is very important. Specially, as digital recorder and digital camera is propagated, new paradigm that private DVDs can be shared in many household shows up. The homeserver is the main part of UbiHome, which can store much multimedia content and through which the user can search and share these contents. For searching and sharing, the metadata of contents is supposed to keep the consistency. These metadata include the description to different format such as Image, movie, and music. Therefore, we intend to provide a RDF model for effectively storing, searching and managing high-quality contents in UbiHome. In this paper, we propose to make Ontology to close semantic approach using RDF/RDF Schema for managing multimedia data in UbiHome. we propose RDF-Based Local Ontology and merging these ontology to RDF-Based Global Ontology.

  • 시맨틱 웹은 인간이 이해하는 것처럼 웹 문서의 의미를 컴퓨터가 처리할 수 있도록 하는데 있다. 그러나 인터넷 등 정보통신 기술의 발전으로 인해 정보량이 급증함으로써 이들 정보 자원을 효과적으로 검색하기에는 많은 어려움이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 주석 에디터를 사용하여 논문에 대한 RDF 메타데이타의 자동 생성 방법을 제안한다. 사용자가 논문을 주석 처리할 때, 문서에 대한 특징을 추출하고 온토로지 인터페이스를 사용하여 문서를 분류한다. 구현된 시스템을 통해 사용자는 추출된 메타데이타를 메타데이타 뷰를 통해 볼 수 있으며, HTML 뷰를 통해 메타데이타를 수동으로 수정이 가능하다. 이 메타데이타는 RDF Repository로 저장할 수 있으며, 주석 뷰를 통하여 RDF 메타데이타 생성을 확인할 수 있다. 이렇게 생성된 RDF 메타데이타는 웹 로봇이 내용의 의미 파악 및 카테고리 정보를 쉽게 알 수 있도록 해준다. 본 논문은 검색 엔진을 통하여 논문 검색시 전체 내용보다 RDF 메타데이타 정보만으로 효율적인 검색을 할 수 있는 방법에 초점을 둔다.

  • The Semantic Web is a new technology that attempts to achieve effective retrieval, automation, integration, and reuse of web resources by constructing knowledge bases that are composed of machine-readable definitions and associations of resources that express the relationships among them. To have this kind of Semantic Web in place, it is necessary to have the following infrastructures: capability to assign unchangeable and unique identifier (URI) to each resource, adoption of XML namespace concept to prevent collision of element and attribute names defined by various institutions, widespread use of RDF to describe resources so that diverse metadata can be interoperable, use of RDF schema to define the meaning of metadata elements and the relationships among them, adoption of DAML+OIL that is built upon RDF(S) to increase reasoning capability and expressive power, and finally adoption of OWL that is built upon DAML+OIL by removing unnecessary constructors and adding new ones based on experience of using DAML+OIL. The purpose of this study is to describe the central concepts and technologies related to the Semantic Web and to discuss the benefits of metadata interoperability based on XML/RDF schemas and the potential applications of diverse ontologies.

  • The Semantic Web stands out in the next generation web, recently. In the Semantic Web, any information resources is defined by semantics and semantic links is given among these. It is different from existing web service environment. RDF (Resource Description Framework) is the data model to describe metadata of web resource and is to support for semantic links. And it is much the same as WSDL (Web Serice Description Language). In theis paper, we propose the RDF design method to improve the search performance by integrating RDF data unit with WSDL. We confirm the performance and efficiency of search will be improved by using the proposed method.

  • The purpose of this study is to present technical elements to improve the data utilization of the ISNI Korea Consortium, which is operated by the National Library of Korea, which is responsible for the registration of Korean names. The ISNI Korea Consortium aims to register various creation-related information in addition to bibliographic-related individual and organization name information. To this end, this study examines the ISNI Korea consortium, which is a data provider's consultative body, among other things, the metadata status of copyright organizations and the linked data specification of ISNI. As a result, data acquisition, refining, storage, identifier management, consortium metadata management, five in total, and RDF data management (repository) in terms of linked data, RDF data issuance, RDF data retrieval, RDF data inquiry, RDF data Eight technical elements, including download, ontology inquiry, standard term inquiry and mapping information management, were derived.

  • In Semantic Web, metadata and ontology for representing semantics and conceptual relationships of information resources are essential factors. RDF and RDF Schema are W3C standard models for describing metadata and ontology. Therefore, many studies to store and retrieve RDF and RDF Schema documents are required. In this paper, we focus on some results of analyzing available query patterns considering both RDF and RDF Schema and classify queries on RDF and RDF Schema into the three patterns. RDF and RDF Schema can be represented as graph models. So, we proposed some strategies to store and retrieve using the graph models of RDF and RDF Schema. We can retrieve entities that can be arrived from a certain class or property in RDF and RDF Schema without a loss of performance on account of multiple joins with tables.

  • This paper studied and proposed a XML document storing-and-retrieval framework based on a variant k-ary complete tree and a RDF metadata, which is composed of an effective storing module to store xml documents, a retrieving module to retrieve xml documents, and a connecting module to make this system intemperate in the web environment. In this storing module, DTD independent DOM based decomposition model using a method of addressing unique ill using a variant k-ary complete tree is adopted and is implemented. Query Processing Module includes a XPath query process and a content based retrieval function using word index for content information. To retrieve more exactly data, a structural retrieval using RDF metadata is adopted and implemented. In order to implement effectively XML document storing and retrieval system in the web environment, API using XML-RPC, API using HTTP's GET, PUT, POST and API using SOAP have been adopted and implemented.

  • Even though we have greater chances to accomplish successful collaborative design by utilizing recent proliferation of networks, current practices do not fully take advantage of the information infrastructure. There are so much data over the networks, but not enough knowledge about the data is available to users. The main objectives of the product data interface system proposed in this paper are to capture more knowledge on managing product data and to provide users effective search capability. We define the metadata model for product data defined in STEP AP 203 and manage the metadata from product data in a repository system. Because we utilize the standard formats such as STEP for product data and RDF for metadata, the proposed approach can be applied to various fields of industries independently on commercial products.
