It is difficult for the learner to understand completely the ratio concept which forms a basis of proportional reasoning. And proportional reasoning is, on the one hand, the capstone of children's elementary school arithmetic and, the other hand, it is the cornerstone of all that is to follow. But school mathematics has centered on the teachings of algorithm without dealing with its essence and meaning. The purpose of this study is to analyze the essence of ratio concept from multidimensional viewpoint. In addition, this study will show the direction for improvement of ratio concept. For this purpose, I tried to analyze the historical development of ratio concept. Most mathematicians today consider ratio as fraction and, in effect, identify ratios with what mathematicians called the denominations of ratios. But Euclid did not. In line with Euclid's theory, ratio should not have been represented in the same way as fraction, and proportion should not have been represented as equation, but in line with the other's theory they might be. The two theories of ratios were running alongside each other, but the differences between them were not always clearly stated. Ratio can be interpreted as a function of an ordered pair of numbers or magnitude values. A ratio is a numerical expression of how much there is of one quantity in relation to another quantity. So ratio can be interpreted as a binary vector which differentiates between the absolute aspect of a vector -its size- and the comparative aspect-its slope. Analysis on ratio concept shows that its basic structure implies 'proportionality' and it is formalized through transmission from the understanding of the invariance of internal ratio to the understanding of constancy of external ratio. In the study, a fittingness(or comparison) and a covariation were examined as the intuitive origins of proportion and proportional reasoning. These form the basis of the protoquantitative knowledge. The development of sequences of proportional reasoning was examined. The first attempts at quantifying the relationships are usually additive reasoning. Additive reasoning appears as a precursor to proportional reasoning. Preproportions are followed by logical proportions which refer to the understanding of the logical relationships between the four terms of a proportion. Even though developmental psychologists often speak of proportional reasoning as though it were a global ability, other psychologists insist that the evolution of proportional reasoning is characterized by a gradual increase in local competence.
The purpose of the present study is to develop instrument of mathematical belief of middle school and high school students and to analysis results of test using the instrument. Based on the results of literature review, mathematical belief is the cumulative effects of self-assessment and self-concept in mathematical learning and achievement experience. Four sub-components of mathematical belief is identified belief of school mathematics, belief of mathematical problem solving, mathematical self-concept, belief of mathematical teaching and learning. The instrument was developed to investigate mathematical belief by reflecting Korean middle school and high school students' psychological characters. To develop the appropriate items for the mathematical belief, after reviewing literature thoroughly, first version of the instrument was developed and exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted. Then, to reduce the effect of the gender difference and achievement level difference, Correlation Analysis and 1-way ANOVA was performed. Also, using multiple group confirmatory factor analysis, this instrument was investigated to see whether this can be used for both middle school and high school. The final items for middle school students is consisted 7 items of belief of school mathematics, 9 items of belief of mathematical problem solving, 11 items of mathematical self-concept, 10 items of belief of mathematical teaching and learning. Instrument of mathematical belief for high school students is consisted 9 items of belief of school mathematics, 9 items of belief of mathematical problem solving, 11 items of mathematical self-concept, 11 items of belief of mathematical teaching and learning. This study examined the differences about mathematical belief's sub-factors shown by three groups of mathematics achievement level. Students of higher achievement level showed that the degree of most factors ware the highest excepting stereotype of belief of school mathematics. Also, Male students preferred more positive in mathematics belief than female students.
The purposes of this study are; first, to supply useful suggestions for the market segmentation of the Chinese market according to individual psychological variables(self-congruence) of customers. Second, it figures out the relative importance of actual self-congruence and ideal self-congruence. Lastly, it reveals whether there are any differences in the preference of attributes according to the popular cultural involvement. According to the results, actual self-congruence had a positive influence on the contents factor evaluation while ideal self-congruence had positive effect on the human and cultural factors evaluation. Also, the human and cultural factor had a positive influence on the purchase intention, as well as content factor and cultural factor had the influence on the word-of-mouth. In addition, the group of highly interested in the involvement at the popular culture was significantly higher in the evaluation on the human and contents factor than the low group.
Due to the high incidence of cancer and cancer-related mortality in Korea, there is increased concern and psychological anxiety about this disease, leading to increasing numbers of cancer studies. Despite these, the trend of the cancer incidence rate has shown a significant increase. The detection of colorectal cancer, which has a high incidence rate, often tends to be delayed, causing a high mortality rate. Therefore, the prevention of colorectal cancer has become an important emergent issue. The cause of this cancer has not been confirmed. However, it may be attributable to westernized dietary patterns, which include consuming a high quantity of red meat. Consumption of dietary fiber promotes the production of butyrate short-chain fatty acids by enteric bacteria. In the treatment of cancer, anticancer medications have been shown to lead to the apoptosis of tumor cells, and a strong relationship between apoptosis mechanisms of tumor cells and cancer treatment has been confirmed. The results of many studies have confirmed that butyrate can directly promote the apoptosis of colorectal cancer cells. Therefore, increased consumption of dietary fiber, which promotes the production of butyrate shortchain fatty acids, can be expected to have an effect on the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer.
Among many factors that affect the development of the talent of gifted children, the family factor that first finds and cultivates the talent of gifted children is quite important. The researches on the family of gifted children are mostly concentrated on physical environment out of the home environment, neglecting psychological environment. Although the recreational activity of family with gifted children considerably contributes to the emotional, intellectual and social development of gifted children themselves and to the improvement of life quality of the family members, the recreation of family with gifted children has not yet been studied. Thus, the objective of this research is to present basic materials for seeking the direction to educate parents and to support family with gifted children in order to encourage synergy effect in emotional and social growth of family with gifted children by surveying the property of recreation of family with gifted children. The result of result is as follows. First, the type of family with gifted children tends to be remarkably biased to 'family-oriented activity' and 'elf-development activity.' Second, verifying the significant level of motive for recreational activity of family with gifted children at the variables such as number of family members, parents' age, parents' education level, parents' occupation, etc, it was concluded that they were not statistically significant. The result of this research suggests that education and support for efficient recreation of family with gifted children is necessary to achieve healthy talent of gifted children.

Objectives : The incidence of allergic rhinitis has increased but treatment in most cases has only dealt with the symptoms. Medicine has been developed that shows fewer side effects. However, some side effects and the psychological stress over taking medicine has remained. There have been no studies so far performed on the effect of this Jeulminmilmae-tang's use, only. The purpose of this study was find out the therapeutic effects of its exclusive use on an Animal Model with Allergic Rhinitis. Methods : Thirty Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into three group : normal group, control group and sample group. To induce the allergic rhinitis in control group and sample group, rats were sensitized intraperitoneally with 0.1$\%$ ovalumin solution 3 times at intervals of 1 week. Then intranasal sensitization was performed by diffusing 0.1$\%$ ovalumin solution 3 times at intervals of 2 days. After that time, rats in the sample group were oral administration treated by Jeulminmilmae-tang for 28 days. Compared with the sample group, rats in the control group were oral administration treated by normal saline for 28 days. We observed changes in nasal mucosa and submucosa; also changes in the segment of neutrophil, eosinophil, Iympocyte and monocyte in blood. We used the statistical methods of student t-test(p 〈0.05). And we observed the changes of AST, ALT of three groups and used anova test statistically. Results : The segment of eosinophil was significantly decreased in treated group when compared with the control group(p 〈0.05). The segment of neutrophil. in blood were decreased in the treated group when compared with the control group but. that was not significant statistically(p 〈0.05). There were some regrowth of the cilium in the treated group. Histologic changes showed edema congestion and expantion of grandular cells in nasal submucosa and hypertrophy of epithelium ill nasal mucosa were decreased in treated group when compared with control group. Effects of Jeulminmilmae-tang on the liver function were also studies in rats. Treatment of Jeulminmilmae-tang did not affected on AST and ALT. Conclusions : The results may suggest that oral administration treatment using Jeulminmilmae-tang decreases the inflammatory response on an Animal Model with Allergic Rhinitis.
The purpose of this study identified the effectiveness of the existent interventions, which had been applied to the teens in multicultural families in South Korea. Totally 29 relevant studies, including dissertations and published articles, published from 2008 to 2014, were systematically searched and analyzed through meta-analytic method. The study results revealed the specific conditions which made the intervention more effective for the teens in multicultural families. Specifically, the program could be most effective when the program had a social adaptation intervention type as well as aimed to middle school students as a target population. Also, the program could be most effective when the program had lower than 8 sessions, run 3-5 times a week, and had from 21 to 30 participants in one intervention group. In addition, current existing programs showed higher effect sizes on outcomes focusing on relationships rather than on those focusing on psychological problems. This study is theoretically meaningful in terms of quantitatively synthesizing the existing intervention programs for the teens in multicultural families. In addition, we expect that this study would practically contribute to develop evidence-based programs for those teens in multicultural families.
This study was designed to determine whether cognitive impairment was evident in patients with SLE. Also, it aimed to examine the association of cognitive impairment with other clinical variables. The subjects consisted of 20 patients with mildly active SLE and 20 healthy controls. Methods : A total of 20 SLE patients and 20 normal controls completed a computerized neuropsychological test battery using Vienna Test System. These included Cognitrone test, Continuous attention test, Corsi block tapping test, Standard progressive matrices. Also, neuro-behavioral cognitive status examination was done. The symptom severity of depression was measured with Beck Depression Inventory, Hamilton Depression Rating Scale, and current medications were documented. Disease activity was rated using the SLE diasease activity index (SLEDAI). Results : SLE patients had poorer performance than normal controls on the tests of Cognitrone, attention, nonverbal IQ and memory, independent of age, education, disease activity, steroid use and depression status. Conclusion : Cognitive dysfunction was not uncommon in ambulatory SLE patients as measured by standardized neuropsychological tests. It seemed to occur independently of various clinical variables. These findings would suggest that cognitive dysfunction in SLE may be explained by reflecting subclinical central nervous system(CNS) involvement, rather than coexisting psychological distress due to chronic illness or side effect of medication.
Almost all research on emotional labor has focused on how services workers use emotional labor. However, this study examined that leaders' emotional labor influence follower's outcomes. Especially, this study tested how the leader emotional labor influence followers' work engagement and mediating role of PsyCap between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement. In addition, this study investigated the quality of LMX as moderator the relationship between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement. The SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 was used in this study. The results collected from 469 employees in domestic large Telecom and their related companies revealed that leader emotional labor positively influence followers' work engagement and PsyCap. Especially, leader deep acting and surface acting positively influence followers' work engagement, but not display of genuine emotion, and leader deep acting only positively influence followers' PsyCap. Furthermore, followers' PsyCap partially mediated the relationship between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement. Finally, the quality of LMX as moderator in link between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement showed when followers in high-quality LMX. Implication and suggestion for future study are discussed.
This study examined the effect of ego-resilience, function of family, stress of adapting to a new culture perceived by youth from multi-cultural families at Gyeonggi-do on their mental health. In doing so, the study sought to suggest effective supportive visits to enhance their mental health. For this, the study carried out a descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way anova, hierarchical regression analysis among 304 middle schoolers from multi-cultural families living at Gyeonggi-do. The study found following results. The higher youth from multi-cultural family perceived the procedural stress, sub-variable of stress of adapting to a new culture and the lower they perceived emotional control, sub-variable of ego-resilience, the higher depression and anxiety they experienced, resulting in worsening of their mental health state. Based on these findings, the study, in order to enhance the mental health of youth from multi-cultural family and their ego-resilience, discussed and suggested development of psychological/emotional programs, preparation of supportive measures to overcome their stress in the course of their cultural adaptation as well as systematic supplementation of related laws in support of multi-cultural families.
