ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF PSEUDO-FINSLER EIKONAL EQUATIONS

  • In this study, we have generalized pseudo-Finsler map by introducing the concept of semi-Riemannian map and have found pseudo-Finsler eikonal equations using pseudo-Finsler map. After that, we have obtained some sufficient theorems on pseudo-Finsler manifolds for the existence of solutions to the eikonal equation. At the same time, we have introduced a natural definition for the affine maps between pseudo-Finsler manifolds and have reached the affine solutions of them.

  • In this paper we have introduced the concept of pseudo-metric which we induced from a pseudo-valuation on KU-algebras and investigated the relationship between pseudo-valuations and ideals of KU-algebras. Conditions for a real-valued function to be a pseudo-valuation on KU-algebras are provided.

학습자 특성에 따른 유사과학(Pseudo-Science)에 대한 초등학생들의 인식 (Relationship of Characteristics as a Learner to Perception of Pseudo-Science in Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the perception of students about pseudo-science in consideration to their personality traits, cognitive style, and awareness of the nature of science, which might all have a great impact on their behavior and thinking. The subjects of this study were 129 sixth-grade school children in a small urban community in Gyeonggi province. The way they looked at pseudo-science was investigated after three kinds of traits were selected as variables, including personality traits, cognitive style, and awareness of the nature of science. Four different instruments were utilized, which respectively covered personality traits, cognitive style, awareness of the nature of science and perception of pseudo-science. The results of the study were as follows: First, the children with higher emotional stability and liveliness showed higher permeability towards pseudo-science, while made no significant difference on their view of pseudo-science. Second, their cognitive style made no significant difference to their outlook on pseudo-science. Third, as for link between awareness of the nature of science and pseudo-science, the students with a poor understanding of the nature of science were significantly different from those who had a better understanding of it in perception of pseudo-science(p<.05).

  • Generalized pseudo-differential operators (PDO) involving fractional Fourier transform associate with the symbol a(x, y) whose derivatives satisfy certain growth condition is defined. The product of two generalized pseudo-differential operators is shown to be a generalized pseudo-differential operator.

  • 본 논문에서는 SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) 영상에 SVD (Singular Value Decomposition) - Pseudo Spectrum 알고리즘을 적용하고 그 성능을 기존 알고리즘과 비교한다. 이 논문의 목적은 SAR 영상의 해상도 및 목표물 분해능을 높이고자 하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 신호 성분으로 이루어진 Hankel Matrix와 SVD (Singular Value Decomposition) 방법을 사용하여 잡음에 강인하고 sidelobe이 적으며 스펙트럼 추정에서 해상도를 높인 SVD-Pseudo Spectrum 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 분해될 목표물을 모델링하여 알고리즘의 성능을 분석하고 SVD-Pseudo Spectrum 방법이 기존의 퓨리에 변환 기반 방법과 고해상도 기술 기반의 MUSIC 방법보다 더 좋은 성능을 가짐을 보인다.

  • For scaling of the gradient of misfit function, we develop a new pseudo-Hessian matrix constructed by combining amplitude field and pseudo-Hessian matrix. Since pseudo- Hessian matrix neglects the calculation of the zero-lag auto-correlation of impulse responses in the approximate Hessian matrix, the pseudo-Hessian matrix has a limitation to scale the gradient of misfit function compared to the approximate Hessian matrix. To validate the new pseudo- Hessian matrix, we perform frequency-domain elastic full waveform inversion using this Hessian matrix. By synthetic experiments, we show that the new pseudo-Hessian matrix can give better convergence to the true model than the old one does. Furthermore, since the amplitude fields are intrinsically obtained in forward modeling procedure, we do not have to pay any extra cost to compute the new pseudo-Hessian. We think that the new pseudo-Hessian matrix can be used as an alternative of the approximate Hessian matrix of the Gauss-Newton method.

On Conformally at Almost Pseudo Ricci Symmetric Mani-folds

  • The object of the present paper is to study conformally at almost pseudo Ricci symmetric manifolds. The existence of a conformally at almost pseudo Ricci symmetric manifold with non-zero and non-constant scalar curvature is shown by a non-trivial example. We also show the existence of an n-dimensional non-conformally at almost pseudo Ricci symmetric manifold with vanishing scalar curvature.

  • 多數의 熱共重合 反應組들에 對하여 pseudo molecular complex 形成이 可能한가를 理論的으로 調査하였던바 例外없이 pseudo molecular complex 形成이 가능하였다. 卽, pseudo molecular complex 形成이 共重合反應組들의 共通性임을 발견하였다. 그래서 熱共重合反應은 pseudo molecular complex를 경유하여 反應이 進行하는 하나의 可能한 開始機構를 提案하였다.

GEOMETRY OF CONTACT STRONGLY PSEUDO-CONVEX CR-MANIFOLDS

  • As a natural generalization of a Sasakian space form, we define a contact strongly pseudo-convex CR-space form (of constant pseudo-holomorphic sectional curvature) by using the Tanaka-Webster connection, which is a canonical affine connection on a contact strongly pseudo-convex CR-manifold. In particular, we classify a contact strongly pseudo-convex CR-space form $(M,\;\eta,\;\varphi)$ with the pseudo-parallel structure operator $h(=1/2L\xi\varphi)$, and then we obtain the nice form of their curvature tensors in proving Schurtype theorem, where $L\xi$ denote the Lie derivative in the characteristic direction $\xi$.
