Earned Value Management Application Issues and Consideration for Weapon System Development Project (무기체계 연구개발 사업에서의 사업성과관리 적용 이슈 및 고려사항)

  • It is generally recommended to use EVM as an efficient means for measuring project performance and progress so that the EVMS user could manage his project successfully. In spite of it's favorable intention, most project participants think it as a heavy load or a sub practiced job with low responsibility. Especially in a weapon system R&D project, the manager should consider a possibility to change plans in the middle of the project because of uncertainty coming from properties of the R&D project. Even though there are lots of variables triggering unpredictable troubles in EVM application, EVM still could be a valuable project health indicator. In this paper we introduce a case study of EVM application for weapon system development project. Furthermore, we suggest several solutions for the issues occurring in utilizing EVM.

  • Our government operates earned value management system (EVMS)of construction schedule and cost for improving earned management system of the construction projects. but There is two unification Method construction schedule and cost to estimate construction progress currently. This weight a staff work. therefore this study present unification method which operate integrate schedule and cost by using work task. In order to inflect verification and model of schedule and cost, this study develop prototype of EVMS.

  • Mini Double Gears Frame is critical part of PDP and also produces couple hundred thousand every month. In the process of mass production, product inspection is very important process. Double Gear, one of the part of machine, was inspected by human eyes which caused mistakes and slow progress. To achieve the speed and accuracy the system was compensated by vision system which is inspecting automatically. The focus value is measured based on the fact that high contrast images have much high frequency edge information. High frequency term of the image is extracted using the high-pass filter and the sum of the high frequency term is used as the focus value. We used a Gaussian smoothing filter to reduce the noise and then measures the focus value using the modified Laplacian filter called a Sum modified Laplacian Focus values for the various lens positions are calculated and the position with the maximum focus value is decided as the focused position. The focus values calculated in various lens position showed the Gaussian distribution. We proposed a method to estimate the best focus position using the Gaussian curve fitting. Focus values of the uniform interval lens positions are calculated and the values are used to estimate the Gaussian distribution parameters to find the best focus position.

Evaluation of Factors Affecting the Use of the Accounting Information System Using the TAM Model: A Field Study in Algerian Firms

  • The accounting literature abounds with many studies concerning the organizational and technical aspects of the AIS to simulate progress in the business environment. However, few studies have focused on the role of individual factors in overcoming resistance to change and maximizing the value of using the system. Therefore, this study aims to shed light on user beliefs by evaluating the factors that affect the use of the AIS using a developed TAM. A total of 132 subjects participated in this study, in which the questionnaire was used as a data collection tool and AMOS was used to test the model. The results showed that subjective norm, training and experience were the most important previous factors that affect the perceptual factors represented in usefulness, ease of use and the inevitability of change, which all had an impact on the continuance intention to use the AIS among users in Algerian firms. This study shed light on the importance of assessing individual factors rather than focusing only on the ways to develop AIS or researching for new technologies and the costs of this investment because this will increase the chances of success in using the system.

  • Recently, the application area of wireless LAN(Internet) and CDMA have been increased, rapidly. Bridge monitoring system using this ubiquitous Computing Technology can bring more convenience of bridge maintenance and management. This paper present a automatic data acquisition, control and processing technology through this concept, and check system applicability to the concrete bridge completed. Finally, The preventive bridge monitoring through the application of this system will progress in technology and make civil infrastructure more safe and useful.

  • Recently, our construction industry progress using the BIM system in the construction designing part. However, there are not preparing government policy about BIM even if there are many good things using BIM system on planning of heavy equipment. Therefore, planning for a input system of heavy equipment using BIM will be a kind of first challenge in this part. However, we've tried using strength point of BIM system to make better condition of our construction fields. So this study will be expected to shorten the construction time and using heavy equipment effectively.

  • Research and development on superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) system have been done to realize efficient electric power management for several decades. Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI) has developed a 3MJ/750kV A SMES system to improve power quality in sensitive electric loads. It consists of an IGBT based power converter, NbTi mixed matrix Rutherford cable superconducting magnet, and a cryostat with HTS current leads. A computer code was developed to find the parameters of the SMES magnet which has minimum amount of superconductors for the same stored energy, and the 3MJ SMES magnet was designed based upon that. This paper describes the fabrication and experimental results of a 3MJ/750kV A SMES system.

  • Information technology has been made remarkable progress and most of computer systems are connected with internet over the world. We have not only advantages to access them easy, but also disadvantages to misuse information, abuse, crack, and damage privacy. We should have safeguards to preserve confidentiality, integrity and availability for our information system. Even tough the security is very important for the defense information system, we should not over limit users availability. BS7799, a British standard, is an evaluation criteria for information security management. In this paper we propose an audit model to manage and audit information security using control items of BS7799, which could be useful to mange the defence information system security. We standardize audit items, and classify them by levels, and degrees by using appropriate audit techniques / methods / processes.

  • The rapid exchanges of mobile computing environment and development of wireless communication are providing many effects for learning activity of students. Recently, PDA system developers which are studying memory capacity, communication speed and size of screen support techniques to be capable of learning from students in the wireless or moving environment. In this viewpoints, this paper has a purpose to design multimedia learning system to be able to do with sound lecture contents. The implemented system largely consists of two parts which have the teacher module and students module. The one manages learning progress of students, class management, bulletin board and etc. The other is capable of using studying and bulletin functions. The main idea of this research is focus to upgrade the effect of learning without almost treating the existing studies, which can be listening sound lecture and also seeing text and image at the same time.

  • The power systems should be improved to reduce the number of black-out events occurring throughout the world. Quantitative evaluation of composite power system reliability is very important in a competitive electricity environment. The reason is that the successful operation of electric power systems under a deregulated electricity market depends on transmission system reliability management. This paper presents sensitivity analysis of probabilistic reliability indices of Korea power systems with checking application of HTS-FCL.
