  • Most of all manufacturing industries are pursuing the manufacturing process innovation through the production process automation but the printing industry still does not get out of the analog ways of the entire process compared the entire manufacturing industry. Today, many printing enterprises have the difficulties by the short for delivery, multi-item small amount printing, high quality, rise in raw material cost, drop in receiving order cost, and etc. The printing industry can get over these difficulties and issues by implementing the compact workflow line, merge with the others, automatization and networking, minimization of the repetitive operation, efficiency of the working process, optimization of the operators' value creation, minimization of cost and materials and fast make-ready. The object of this thesis establishes the experimental data and study cases applicable in the printing industry by having high labor productivity and work in line with printing industry processes through "lean printing system".

Coloring Analysis of Digital Textile Printing According to the Type of Fiber (섬유 종류에 따른 디지털 텍스타일 프린팅의 발색성 비교 분석)

  • Whole process of textile printing is made by computer and it remarkably improves environment problem. This digital textile printing is becoming next step environment friendly textile printing method. But, still now range of textile possible for digital textile printing is limited, and also color analysis according to fiber types is not completed. The ink printed on the fabrics through DTP printer can be absorbed and fixed into textile without any blots by pre-treatment using suitable media solution for fabrics types. The chemical formulation of media solution used in the pre-treatment process varies according to the types of textiles and inks for DTP products. First, I studied reference books or articles about color analysis of digital textile printing. Second, I recorded pre-process, printing, post-process and coloring of silk, wool, nylon at same condition. After that, I analyzed $L^*\;a^*\;b^*$, Total K/S, ${\Delta}E$ and studied color intensity and coloring. According to this study, I suggested particular textile special for coloring and manual for affective coloring control. It showed that the performance of the digital printing on the Silk, Wool and Nylon blend fabrics treated by the media solution developed in this study was better than the one treated by the previous media solution for each single inks.

Effects on Printing Quality according to Yarn Twist and Knitting Structure of Media in Digital Textile Printing(I) (DTP(Digital Textile Printing)에서 미디어의 원사꼬임 및 편성구조가 프린팅 Quality에 미치는 영향(I))

  • Digital textile printing(DTP) is becoming more important because the production trend of textile printing goods is adapting to small-lot multiple items. Recently enhanced use of DTP is closely connected with production of high value-added products in fashion industry, which is also appropriate for quick response system(QRS). Quality of DTP depends on pre-treatment, after-treatment, ink, media, printer, etc. One of these parameters, Selection of good media is very important to obtain high quality of DTP products. Especially, the effects of media on printing quality of DTP according to yarn twist and structure of knitting fabric were examined in this study. Two types of yarn twist of 830 t.p.m and 1630 t.p.m for cotton knit were used and five types of media structures were knitted with single circular knitting machine. First, MIU, MMD, SMD's values are closely related with surface roughness of sample as well as printing quality. The hard twist samples were higher values than normal twist samples in the same media structure. In case of SMD, the values increased from plain to corduroy types. Second, aspect of line sharpness, line area, and line width values of hard twist samples decreased from plain to corduroy than those of normal twist samples. Third, line deviation values of hard twist samples, blurriness of line, also decreased than those of normal twist samples.

The Study of Resistant Abrasion and Image Reproduction of the Photosensitive Plastic Convex Printing Plate for Securities Printing (유가증권 인쇄용 감광성 수지 볼록판의 내마모성 및 화선 재현에 관한 연구)

  • The convex printing plate in particular securities is classified three physical properties. The main ingredient(component)of photosensitive plastic is composed of thermosetting polyamide. After being hardened specimen at $80^{\circ}C$ is shown to resist highly, the Glass Transition Temperatures of photosensitive plastic are $85^{\circ}C$. When hardened plate has reached at $80^{\circ}C$, abrasion loss is minimized. the cause is considered it is more effective in hardening when the temperature of photosensitive plastic is $80^{\circ}C$-the vitrification temperature of those. The hardness and the durability of the convex printing plate in particular securities are affected to the hardening treatment temperature. And the resolution of original drawing has being better when the durability is superior.

Durability Improvement of Metal Convex Printing Plate for Securities Printing (유가증권 인쇄용 금속 볼록판의 내구성 향상에 관한 연구)

  • We produce a photosensitive convex plate to research a Nickel metal relief printing plate using galvanic process. A Method for preparing DLC convex plate that is metalized on Nickel metal relief printing plate using CVD(Chemical Vapor Deposition) process and $N_2DLC$-convex plate that is DLC metalized thin film layer of $N_2$ plasma surface treatment are comprised. DLC thin film layers on Nickel surface are fragile. The results of the research indicate that the coefficient of friction on DLC metalized thin film layer is relatively low than Nickel surface and the durability of Nickel surface coated DLC metalized thin film layer is superior to Nickel surface. A relative evaluation of three form plate wetting properties using varnish liquid-drop plate indicates superior printing aptitudes for $N_2DLC$, DLC, Nichel plate order as above.

  • The features extracted by convolutional neural networks are more descriptive of images than traditional features, and their convolutional layers are more suitable for retrieving images than are fully connected layers. The convolutional layer features will consume considerable time and memory if used directly to match an image. Therefore, this paper proposes a feature weighting and region integration method for convolutional layer features to form global feature vectors and subsequently use them for image matching. First, the 3D feature of the last convolutional layer is extracted, and the convolutional feature is subsequently weighted again to highlight the edge information and position information of the image. Next, we integrate several regional eigenvectors that are processed by sliding windows into a global eigenvector. Finally, the initial ranking of the retrieval is obtained by measuring the similarity of the query image and the test image using the cosine distance, and the final mean Average Precision (mAP) is obtained by using the extended query method for rearrangement. We conduct experiments using the Oxford5k and Paris6k datasets and their extended datasets, Paris106k and Oxford105k. These experimental results indicate that the global feature extracted by the new method can better describe an image.

  • The making of high leveled smoothness for the printed electronics base paper, wood pulp and sea algal pulp were mixed. If sea algal pulp contents is increased to 9%, the smoothness was moderately increased, and more effective in Softwood mixture than Hardwood, low freeness(high wetness) than high freeness(low wetness).

  • Last printing market is changing to high-quality color prints for web offset printing. But, color image reproduction based on the relative sheet-ped printing compared to the way, web offset printing are falling. Moreover, it's difficult to maintain the quality of the web offset print. The reason is the worker's decision to rely on. Therefore, the quality of prints was no difference in uniformity and objectivity. We have thought the reason, that the physical properties of inks such as fluidity, viscosity and tack. In addition, varies depending on the physical properties of paper, such as thickness, smoothness, roughness and porosity. Therefore, we studied the properties of ink and paper on the relations between the properties used IGT printability tester. This study of domestic web offset printing inks and papers on the relationship between physical properties and printability were studied. So, to improve printability will be used as the basis resources for web offset printing.

  • In these day, our life has been developed with the computer. Printing Industry was introduced the information industry as computer, internet, etc. These are now in daily use and covers the entire work flow - from the planing of the product and the production at domestic printing industry. Then, I suggest the correspondence of changing printing work flow, understanding of digital printing technique, rearing of a special line of business, adjustment in the environment changing of printing technique etc. for the purpose of development of domestic printing industry.

The Thickness Change of the Phosphor Ink Layer and the Dielectric Ink Layer of a Inorganic Powder EL Lamp That was produced by Screen Printing Technique (스크린 인쇄 기법에 의해 제작된 분산형 무기 EL 램프의 형광층 및 유전층의 두께 변화)

  • A inorganic powder EL lamp was made by screen printing technique with phosphor ink and dielectric ink. The thickness change of a phosphor ink layer and a dielectric ink layer were not influenced on dielectric content, but rely on phosphor size and vehicle. Once finishing screen printing technique with phosphor ink and dielectric ink, and its surface has been printed again before not drying of phosphor ink and dielectric ink. Then phosphor ink and dielectric ink were not transferred. The electric capacity of inorganic powder EL lamp was more influenced on dielectric content than the thickness of dielectric ink layer, and it was more dependent on the thickness of phosphor ink layer than the thickness of dielectric ink layer.
