The purpose of this study was to investigate the causal relationship of kindergarteners' alphabet knowledge to their ability to read words, in connection with the features of the Korean alphabet 'Hangul'. A total of 289 children aged four to six from three kindergartens in Busan participated in the study. The main results are as follows. To begin with, the participants showed continuous development in the knowledge of consonant names, vowel sounds, the vowel stroke-adding principle, and the alphabet composition principle. Meanwhile, discontinuous development was found in the knowledge of consonant sounds and the consonant stroke-adding principle, which indicated that kindergartners could show differential speed in various sub-skills of literacy development. The kindergartners' naming of consonants developed before their recall of consonant sounds, and the knowledge of consonant sounds had an effect on the knowledge of vowel sounds. Children had difficulty in treating more complicated letters of the alphabet stroke-adding principle test, and eve syllables of the alphabet composition principle test. Most importantly, the children's alphabet knowledge was strongly related to their ability to read words written in Hangul, as kindergarteners with a greater knowledge of alphabet names, sounds, and principles were shown to read words better.

In this research it is concentrated first of all on the attempts to reconstruct the historical context of the idea for the space design based on the natural construction and to re-appropriate il critically to the present context. Sequentially in the areas of philosophy, biology, neuroscience, and architecture it has been variously discussed on the problems about the synthesis of biology and techniques. In the context of the consilience of biology and technique Werner Nachtigall, who has intended to shed light on the morphological principles in the natural construction, founded the 'Bionik', which is different from the bionics or the biomechanics that are oriented to the imitation of natural forms. The space design that is on the basis of the Bionik treats organisms as a functional whole. Therefore the Bionik space design follows two kinds of principle such as the principle of analogy and the principle of optimization. After all the understanding of the consilience of nature and technique for Nachtigall and Bionik designers tends toward the explication of the complex process in which the human perceptions, the environment, and the phenomenal techniques are united together, and this complex process is associated with the space design based on the Bionik.

필자는 이전의 여러 논문들에서 이른바 '논란 없는 원리'가 귀납 추론에 토대한 직설법적 조건문과 관련하여 성립하지 않음을 주장했다. 왜냐하면 귀납추론에 토대한 직설법적 조건문 '$A{\rightarrow}_iC$'가 질료적 조건문 '$A{\supset}C$'를 논리적으로 함축함을 받아들이면, 'A'라는 가정 하에서 'C'를 단언적으로 주장하는 경우와 단지 'C'가 참일 개연성이 높음을 주장하는 경우를 구분할 수 없게 되는 부조리한 결과가 발생하기 때문이다. 그러나 양은석 교수는 그의 최근 논문 "논란 없는 원리와 귀납논증"에서 논란 없는 원리에 관한 필자의 주장이 성공적이지 않다고 비판한다. 이 논문에서 필자는 양 교수의 비판이 필자의 논점과 무관함을 주장한다.

지렛대의 원리 및 무게중심의 개념은 아르키메데스 이래로 많은 수학자들, 물리학자들에 의해 연구, 발전되어 왔으며, 지금도 물리학, 화학, 건축학 등의 분야에서 폭넓게 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 지렛대의 원리를 이용하여 사면체에서 선분들, 평면들의 교차에 관련된 몇몇 성질들을 탐구하여, 지렛대의 원리를 이용한 사면체의 성질 탐구의 예들과 방법을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of abstraction offer of basic concept principle and feedback of self-efficacy attributional and mathematical study ability of math underachievers in high school based on the attribution theory and self-efficacy theory. The hypothesis were posed as below : Hypothesis 1: The experimental group that takes the abstraction offer of concept principle and attributional feedback training would be better at most self-efficacy than the control group that doesn't. Hypothesis 2: The experimental group that takes the abstraction offer of concept principle and attributional feedback training would have better math achievement than the control group that doesn't. They were divided into an experimental group and a control group, and the attribution disposition, self-efficacy and academic achievement of the children were measured by pretest and posttest. For data analysis, SPSS/PC+ program was employed and t-test was conducted. The main findings of this study were as below : First, the abstraction offer of concept principle and attributional feedback training was effective for enhancing the math self-efficacy in high school underachievers. Second, the abstraction offer of concept principle and attributional feedback training was effective for increasing the math achievement in high school underachievers.

본 논문은 간소화된 주성분 벡터를 이용한 벡터 그래픽 캐릭터의 다양한 얼굴 표정 생성 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 Russell의 내적 정서 상태에 기반하여 재정의된 벡터 그래픽 캐릭터들의 9가지 표정에 대해 주성분 분석을 수행한다. 이를 통해 캐릭터의 얼굴 특성과 표정에 주된 영향을 미치는 주성분 벡터를 찾아내고, 간소화된 주성분 벡터로부터 얼굴 표정을 생성한다. 또한 캐릭터의 특성과 표정의 가중치 값을 보간함으로써 자연스러운 중간 캐릭터 및 표정을 생성한다. 이는 얼굴 애니메이션에서 종래의 키프레임 저장 공간을 상당히 줄일 수 있으며, 적은 계산량으로 중간 표정을 생성할 수 있다. 이에 실시간 제어를 요구하는 웹/모바일 서비스, 게임 등에서 캐릭터 생성 시스템의 성능을 상당히 개선할 수 있다.

Purpose - When recovered through arbitration a contractual penalty that is disproportionately high can become grounds for challenging an arbitral award or an obstacle to its enforcement within Russian jurisdiction. This article investigates how violation of the principle of proportionality can affect the enforcement and challenging of arbitral awards in Russia. Based on the examination of the current legislation, along with the analysis of recent court cases on the subject, the ultimate object of this article is to discern practical recommendations for Korean practitioners who are looking to challenge and/or enforce arbitral awards in Russian courts. Design/methodology - The research process included the reviewing of current Russian legislation conducted in concurrence with academic literature review, searching and analyzing recent court cases where the relevant legal provisions and concepts were applied, and formulating practical implications of the research at its final stage. Findings - Through its relation to the principle of fairness/justice the authors establish the connection between the principle of proportionality and the public policy of Russia. Analysis of recent court cases showed two conflicting trends of whether a disproportionate penalty can be considered a public policy violation. The authors offer practical recommendations on how to substantiate a relevant claim regarding contractual penalty reduction by the court, depending on the desired outcome. Originality/value - The article contains an up-to-date summary of the legal provisions on the principle of proportionality of civil liability in Russia and identifies the most recent trends in court practice on the issue that is not covered by existing studies.

In this note we consider other type of tightness than that of Birkel (1988) and prove an invariance principle for nonstationary associated processes by an application of the central limit theorem of Cox and Grimmett (1984), thus avoiding the argument of uniform integrability. This result is an extension to the nonstationary case of an invariance priciple of Newman and Wright (1981) as well as an improvement of the central limit theorem of Cox and Grimmett (1984).

Electrical fire in residential, commercial, and industrial areas occupies 40 percent of overall fire accidents as of the year of 1994. The causes of most electrical fires were studied and, based on this investigation, the principle of the early detection or prediction of the electrical fires is developed. The basic principle is to early detect electrical arcs or sparks caused by faulty connections and insulation failures. the structure of the prediction system based on microcontroller technique is presented.

In this paper, we improve a new boundary Schwarz lemma, for analytic functions in the unit disk. For new inequalities, the results of Rogosinski's lemma, Subordinate principle and Jack's lemma were used. Moreover, in a class of analytic functions on the unit disc, assuming the existence of angular limit on the boundary point, the estimations below of the modulus of angular derivative have been obtained.
