서울시내 어린이 집 교사의 식습관과 영양지식 (Dietary Habits and Nutrition Knowledge of the Teachers at Day-care Centers in Seoul)

  • A nutrition education program for teachers and caregivers of the preschool children can be most effective when it is based on a comprehensive needs assessment dealing with sociodemographic factors, dietary habits, and nutrition. The purpose of the present study was to investigate current dietary habits and nutrition knowledge of the teachers and caregivers of the day-care centers. Two hundred forty two teachers and caregivers were administered a questionnaire which was designed to ascertain informations on sociodemographic data, dietary habits and nutrition knowledge. Dietary habits of the teachers were found to be significantly different by sociodemographic variables; breakfast skipping/meal irregularities (age, p=0.011); frequency of snacking (education level p=0.031); preference for salty taste(age, p = 0.000, marital status p=0.038); preference for sweet tarte (age p=0.009); preference for vegetables (income level p=0.050); frequency of eating out (age p=0.028, marital status p=0.001); frequency of coffee drinking (age p=0.019). Daycare center teachers' nutrition knowledge level was found to be less than adequate expecially on nutrients that are liable to be deficient in young growing children and their food sources. Proportions of the teachers who answered correctly to the questions on foods rich in vitamin A, iron content of milk, bioavailability of calcium in plant foods were as low as 20.2%-54.5%. The most frequently used sources of nutrition information were mass media such as TV, radio, newspaper and magazines. Only 2.9% of the subjects reported that they obtain nutrition information from health professionals such as nutritionists/dietitians, physicians, and nurses. These findings are applicable at the planning and implementation stages of various nutrition programs for the improvement of dietary habits and nutrition knowledge of the teachers and caregivers of the daycare centers. Further studies are needed to investigate the effects of teachers' dietary of habits and nutrition knowledge on food habits of young growing children.

예비보육교사의 직업기초능력, 교직 인·적성, 행동유형 간의 관계 (The Relationship among Basic Vocational Competencies, Teaching Personality·Aptitude, and Behavior Type of Preschool Teachers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 예비보육교사의 NCS 직업기초능력, 교직 인 적성 및 DISC 행동유형 간의 관계를 분석하는데 있다. 연구대상은 경기도에 소재한 D대학의 예비보육교사 110명을 대상으로 하였다. 'NCS 직업기초능력측정검사', '교직 인 적성 검사도구', 그리고 'DISC 행동유형 검사도구'를 사용하여 연구자료를 수집하였으며 수집된 자료는 Pearson 적률 상관계수를 통해 검증하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 주도성의 성격요인은 수리능력과 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며 사교성의 성격요인은 자기개발능력과 유의미한 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났고, 안정성의 요인은 수리능력, 문제해결능력, 자기개발능력, 기술능력, 조직이해능력과 유의미한 부적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 직업기초능력과 교직 인 적성의 관계를 분석한 결과 대부분의 직업기초능력과 교직 인 적성의 요소들 간에 유의미한 상관이 나타났다. 셋째, 주도성의 특성은 문제해결력/탐구력, 판단력, 창의/응용력, 지도성, 지식/정보력, 계획성, 성실/책임감과 같은 영역에서 유의미한 정적상관이 나타난 반면에서 안정성은 문제해결력. 탐구력, 판단력, 창의응용력, 지도성, 성실/책임감과 유의미한 부적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

예비유아교사가 경험한 자기 주도적 봉사의 의미 탐색 -초등학교 저학년 돌봄 교실 봉사를 중심으로- (Exploring the Meaning of Self-directed Service experienced by Preservice Teachers -Focused on the Service of Daycare Programs for Lower Grades of Elementary-)

  • 본 논문은 예체능 및 놀이문화 형성 프로그램 중심의 '2016 여름방학 대학생 돌봄교실 봉사'에 참여한 예비유아교사를 연구 참여자로 선정하여, 이들이 봉사과정을 통해 겪은 경험의 의미를 질적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 연구 참여자들은 예비유아교사 6명으로 이들은 봉사프로그램의 계획, 예산편성, 재료구입, 실천, 평가까지 일련의 모든 과정을 스스로 해결해야하는 자기 주도적 봉사의 취지를 수용하고 참의의사를 밝힌 상황에서, 방학 중 40시간 이상 초등학교 저학년(1~2학년) 돌봄교실을 방문하여 봉사프로그램을 실시하였다. 연구자료로는 연구참여자저널, 개인면담 및 단체면담 전사본, 전화통화 전사본, 메일, 차수별 자체평가 기록지 등을 활용하였으며, 연구의 신뢰성과 타당성을 높이기 위해 삼각측정, 구성원검토작업, 전문가의 조언과 검토 등이 이루어졌다. 연구결과, 자기 주도적 봉사에 참여한 예비유아교사들의 봉사경험관련 의미는 '생각하는 힘이 자라요', '소통의 중요성을 깨달아가요', '함께 하는 자체가 중요해요', '자원 정보 활용능력이 필요해요' 등으로 이루어진 '역량을 갖춘 전문적인 교사 되어가기'와 '유초연계교육의 필요성을 알아가요', '유초연계교육에 대해 배우고 싶어요' 등으로 세분화된 '유초연계교육에 대한 안목 키워가기'로 크게 범주화되었다.

보육경험 및 보육의 질과 5세 유아의 사회.정서발달과의 관계 (Relationship between 5 Year Olds' Socioemotional Development and Daycare Experience and Daycare Quality)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships between early childhood socioemotional development and day care experience and daycare quality. The subjects were 116 children, age 5 years old, from 17 daycare centers. The teachers at the 17 daycare centers rated the quality of their facility while the mothers of the 116 children assessed their children's socioemotional development. Daycare experience was composed of: the time period, hours per day, and the child's starting age at enrollment in daycare. Daycare quality was measured by questionnaire developed by Park(1995). Children's socioemotional development was rated by K-CBCL (Oh et al. 1997). The results were as follows. First, starting daycare experience less than 2 years of age, attending more than 6 days per week, and attending more than 8 hours per day of daycare experience were negatively related with children's development. Second, quality of daycare such as child-centered curriculum, abundant interaction between teachers and parents, opportunity for continuing education of teachers, higher levels of rewards and incentives for teachers, and the provision of nutritious food were positively related to the children's development.

교사들의 스마트 교육 수용과 유아 디지털 리터러시에 대한 인식 탐구 (Exploring Teachers' Perceptions and Beliefs about the Acceptance of Smart Education and Preschoolers' Digital Literacy)

  • 본 연구는 유아교사들을 대상으로 유아의 스마트 미디어 이용과 유아 디지털 리터러시에 대한 인식과 신념을 살펴봄으로써 스마트 교육을 활성화 할 수 있는 방안을 탐색해보고자 한다. 연구에서는 인터뷰를 통해 유아교사들이 스마트 교육 수용과 관련하여 어떠한 인식을 가지고 있는가를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 유아교사들은 유아들의 스마트 미디어 이용에 대하여 긍정적이기보다는 부정적인 태도를 가지고 있었으며 스마트 교육의 제한적인 활용이 필요하다고 응답했다. 교사들이 가진 기술에 대한 부정적인 태도는 스마트 교육의 수용을 저해하는 장애물인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 교사들의 인식 개선이 스마트 교육 활성화의 중요한 전제 조건임을 보여준다.

어린이 성폭력 예방 교육이 유치원 교사의 지식 및 태도에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Education on the Knowledge and Attitude toward Child Sexual Abuse in Kindergarten Teachers in Korea)

  • The Purpose of this study was to find out the effects of education for prevention of sexual abuse (rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment etc.) of children in kindergarten teachers. Incidences of sexual abuse in Korea is ranked 3rd in the world. Sexual abuse of children, particularly, is one of the most serious crimes that affect both the victimized children and their family. The issue related to sexual abuse of children has been ignored, and there is a lack of systematic education to prevent sexual abuse of children either for children or their parents in Korea. Furthermore, lack of knowledge and poor attitude of teachers limit their capability to provide education for sexual abuse prevention to the children. The education for kindergarten teachers may change their knowledge of the sexual abuse and their attitude toward it and improve their capability in helping children. 114 Korean kindergarten teachers participated in this study. Research design was one group pretest-posttest design. The education given to the subjects included 2 hours of lecture. The education program was developed based on a survey. Preschool-aged-children, parents, and teachers were interviewed to reveal their educational needs based on their experiences related to sexual abuse. This program includes such as safety education, crisis management, resource person(s), and phone numbers of available hospital. Data was collected before and after the education was given to the subjects, to assess their knowledge and attitude toward child sexual abuse. Two instruments were used in this study. Using Cronbach's ALPHA validity and reliability of 2 instruments were tested. The analysis of the data was done with Window SPSS 10.0 for descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. The results of this analysis were as follows : 1. After education, the score of kindergarten teachers knowledge was higher than before (t=-4.409, p=0.002). 2. After education, the score of kindergarten teachers attitude was higher than before (t=3.065, p=0.003). The findings from this study will provide an intervention strategy for prevention of sexual abuse in children.

어머니의 심리극 자세와 유아및 사회정시 발달과의 관계 (The Relationship between Mother′Psychological Life Position and Children′s Social-Emotional Development)

  • This study investigated the relationship between mothers'psychological life position and children's social-emotional development. Subject consisted of 303 children and their mothers enrolled in preschool at Seoul. A sample of mothers completed the questionnaire and teachers rated the social-emotional development instrument. The results showed that children's social-emotional development differed according to their gender and age. And there were differences between mothers'psychological life position as a function of educational level and employment status. Mothers'psychological life position was related to their children's social-emotional development.

어린이의 거친 신체 놀이와 사회적 능력 연구 (Rough-and-Tumble Play and Social Competence in Preschool Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to describe relations between the rough-and-tumble play of preschoolers and their social competence. The subjects were 61 4-year-olds and 59 5-year-olds. Children were observed on a day care center playground during free play time. Teachers were asked to rate the children's social competence. The results indicated that the incidence of rough-and-tumble play varied according to the sex of the child and the physical environment of the playground. Children's rough-and-tumble play was negatively correlated with measures of social competence.

아동의 부모에 대한 애착과 사회적 능력과의 관계 (Child-Parent Attachment and Social Competence)

  • Sixty-three children aged 5 and 6 years and their mothers and teachers participated in this study examining the association between attachment and social competence. The quality of attachment was assessed using Separation Anxiety Test developed by Slough and Greenberg. Mothers and teachers completed questionnaires regarding family background and social competence(Iowa Social Competence Scale:Preschool), Consistent with attachment theory and previous research, there were significant relationships between children's attachment quality and their social competence. Attachment scores were positively associated with Social Competence and Leadership scores and negatively with Apprehension and Hypersensitivity scores. In contrast, Avoidance scores were negatively correlated with Social Competence and Leadership scores and positively with Hypersensitivity scores.

보육 시설장의 스트레스와 어려움에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An Explorative Study for the Stress and Difficulty of the Principal on the Day-Care Centers)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide data for the stress and difficulty of the principal on the day-care centers. For this purpose, we had interviewed with 154 principals on the day-care centers in Daejeon and Chungcheong-do. The principals reported that they had stress about administration of day-care center normally. Their stress was different by the type of the center, the number of the class and their sex. They had difficulties in administrating teachers, managing the center, relating with the authorized officials, and finances. For the governing their center expertly, they needed to improve the quality of teachers, to amplify the financial support, and so on.
