This paper seeks to find out the policies of management and layout of middle school rooms for the community people's use. This paper surveys community's needs with respect to both the use of school rooms before, during, and after classes and preferences of use of school rooms. This paper adopts two experimental case studies to find out the models. It uses t-test analysis of the statistics to find out community people's preferences for the use of school rooms between two communities in an urban area, and uses simple and multiple regression analyses to develop models concerning community people's uses of school rooms before, during, and after classes. It also uses cluster analysis to find out the cluster among community people's preference of school rooms. It found, first, that community people's use of school rooms after class can be influenced by the uses of a play ground, a music classroom, an audio visual classroom, and a gymnasium. The use during regular classes is related to the uses of the fine arts classroom, a general classroom, a home economics classroom, a gymnasium, and a playground. The use before class is affected by the uses of a fine arts classroom, a playground, and a library. It also found that, with respect to community people's preferential use of school rooms, the rooms can be clustered as a cluster of laboratories such as a general classroom, a music room, a fine arts classroom, a science classroom, a home economics classroom, and a technique classroom, a cluster of athletic areas such as a gymnasium and a playground, and a cluster of supporting facilities such as a library, an audio visual classroom, and a computer classroom. Those clusters can also be clustered in more detail, i. e., that both a general classroom and playground can be apart from a cluster of laboratories or a cluster of supporting facilities; that an audio visual classroom can be fostered into a cluster with a home economics affairs classroom and a technique classroom. Finally this paper suggests policies of management and layout of school rooms.
The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics of service facilities, and needs for service facilities using for leisure in multi-family housing properties. The multi-family housing complexes in Seoul were selected in this study. Site visits, analysis of drawing of complex and questionnaire survey were conducted. The statistical techniques used for data analysis included frequencies. The research results were as follows; The studied apartment complexes provided the appropriate and adequate service facilities in accordance to the regulations of multi-family housing. Playground for children, senior center, resting place were found in all the complexes, but the presence of exercise facilities, shared spaces, green spaces, and community parks was somewhat different across the studied complexes. Satisfaction with leisure facilities were different with the apartment complexes. The respondents who had lived older apartment complexes were more likely to increase dissatisfaction, and the reason was attributed to no presence of the leisure facilities they wanted to use. The respondents said that such service facilities using for leisure facilities as playground for children, senior center, community parks, walkways, reading room, and fitness center were highly needed.

The purpose of this study is presented playground space for early childhood facilities. Describes whether any development of children, and how to respond in accordance with each of the activities. The infants and toddlers life cycle is a continuation of play. Toddlers to play is the essence of life itself, through play, the world embracing and digestive, raising ideas and emotions expressed through play. It is time that paves the growth of infants age children. And equipped with personality, values, emotions, attitudes, play a very important role in this process. The purpose of this study is to investigate the children's different responses on the playground and facilities by the materials. For the study, the overall satisfaction on the playgrounds, the visiting frequency, the staying time, and olfactory and tactile responses were collected and analyzed by the materials. The materials for the playing facilities were categorized into 3 different groups ; steel, regular form wood and natural wood. The each group was also estimated and analyzed through the SD (sematic differential) scale which consisted of landscape adjectives. According the results, children liked and most highly scored the playground and playing facilities with natural wood in every items; overall satisfaction, visiting frequency, the staying time, and olfactory and tactile. On the other hand, the steel facilities were most negatively assessed in almost every items. Especially children felt the steel facilities were not environmentally friendly and very boring, comparing to the others. However, only 6 cases were analyzed in this study, because there were few playgrounds with natural wood facilities, so it is necessary to research on more cases to generalize these results.
The purpose of this study is to suggest a guideline for outdoor play settings in child care centers. From March to July, 2005, data were collected from 223 directors at child care centers through a structured questionnaire, field measurement survey and non-participatory observation in seventeen child care centers in Seoul and Daejeon. The statistical methods for analysing data were frequency, percentage, mean, $X^2$ and F-test. The results showed as follows: 1)the existing outdoor playground area in child care centers should be expanded more than $4\;m^2$ per child. 2) Outdoor play facilities should be equipped with two structured play sets, a play facility for unstructured play and an adventure facility to make child's various activities possible and to promote child development. 3)flooring materials for outdoor playground should be required to use more than three kinds such as solid coverings (cf. asphalt, standard concrete), wood, lawn, soil or sands. 4)to let children enjoy various activities, outdoor playground area should be composed of various play facilities like indoor play gyms and should be independent but have good connections between play facilities depending on characteristics of play activities. 5)Play spaces of outdoor playground should be composed of physical play space, unstructured and dramatized play space, rest space, space for nature and adventure space. In addition, appropriate play equipments should be provided in respective play space.

The purpose of this study was to supply data of resident′s participation direction about children′s playground management. In this study, use disposition and consciousness of resident about management are investigated and analyzed at the 5 children′s playground in Taegu city. The results of this study were as follows: The result of resident′s use disposition showed ; visiting frequency was "everyday or occasionally(53.5% )", and visiting purpose was "for children(47.9 %), for rest, sports, spare time(24.6%)" and visiting time was equal1y except forenoon, and staying time was "within 1 hour(73.1%)". The satisfaction about park facilities and park existence of residents′ is composed importance degree of which is convenient, manyfunction spaces, managemental of tree and facilities in order. 9.3% of residents were proposal experience about management, and concern ratio of circumferenmce showed highly "concerned answer(45.9%)" About consciousness ratio of management subject, 46.5% of residents depended on authorities leading. Wholly, recognition ratio showed low. Park administration of authorities leading and lack of resident′s concern wore thought as its problem. About experience of cleaning beautification rout children′s playground, 14.2% of residents answered "be experience". Participation type of desirous management showed highest "cleaning of fallen leaves and rubbish(22.7% )". So, residents wished to take part in such simple managements. Charge of necessary tool and cost for management showed highest "partial charge of residents (47.9% )". About participant ratio of self government activity made by residents, 75.1% of residents answered "don′t be participated". A reason of nonparticipation showed "insufficiency of place and opportunity (38.7%), deficiency of time(17.97)". Activity of initiative and existing group can be done as a fine device in future. Desirous events for children and residents showed highest "play guidence for children or meeting for aged milan(40.7% )". Therefore, it will have to consider enough about resident′s participation program for activity of use and efficient management of children′s playground.

Recently, personal mobility (PM)-related complaints and PM accidents have increased as the number of users soars due to growth in the domestic PM market and the emergence of a number of electric scooter-sharing services. As a result, the need for PM education and practice spaces is emerging as a way to reduce accidents caused by poor PM manipulation and operation. In this study, we analyze the relevant conflict factors in order to come up with a systematic operation and activation plan for PM, and as an alternative, we review and propose how to operate a PM playground and test zone. It is expected that basic data collection and analysis of rudimentary driver behavior through PM playground operations will improve users' operational safety, and various conflicts of interest between users and non-users will be resolved by installing facilities to secure their safety.

The purpose of the study is on offer present condition of School Facilities for Local Residents in Daegu City. This study made progress within the scope of twenty-four public schools excepting one private school and five schools refused request. but opening present condition of the equipment was stopping in negative opening more than thing that is seen in present condition(to be a hall, a computer, swimming pool, physical education market, clearinghouse, art thread, library, language study thread) of two locals that show in old research. As result that diagnose this research, The school facilities open every schools excepting three schools could not open on account of establishment of sprinkler, residents protest about noise, small playground. The opening equipment was limited the playground, hall, basketball court, Badminton court, parking lot, classroom, library. And The use present condition was used by parking, walk, jogging and light exercise, basketball, badminton, state examination, sports meeting, books inspection, early stage soccer. When local residents require equipment use, it is not negative attitude in school but have active carriage. and Must consider plan that raise practical use degree so that can use school equipment.
This study is researched to provide design guidelines of service facilities and programs that apartment residents want along with the increased quality of life. This study is signifiant because it sought effective methods to activate the com-munity culture through service facilities in apartment complexes and the design standard and planning direction for residents. The study results are as follows. In the result of the correlations analysis and multiple regression analysis for the importancy of service facilities in apartment complexes, the following orders were considered as important factor; man-ager office, open space, resident community facility, elderly people meeting and activity facility, walking paths, resident athletic facility, a children's playground, library, and rest areas in the complex. and result of the correlations analysis and multiple regression analysis is the following: service facilities whole importance (y) = 1.413$+0.262^*{\times}1$ (manager office importance)$+0.271^*{\times}2$ (open space importance) $+0.185^*{\times}3$ (resident community facility importance) $+0.136{\times}4$ (elderly people meeting and activity facility importance)$+0.036^*{\times}5$ (walking paths importance) $+0.031^*{\times}6$ (resident athletic facility importance) + $(-0.042)^*{\times}7$ (a children's playground importance) + $(-0.045)^*{\times}8$ (library importance) + $(-0.0097)^*{\times}9$ (rest areas importance).

This paper is to propose a design possibility that incorporates participatory process and also to emphasize the participatory process applied to the planning of outdoor playground space open to the neighboring community. Community design based on the participation method can be understood as an attitude about a force for change in the creation and management of environments for people who are the major users of them. Planning for outdoor space is an integral part of school education and a vital component of child development. For the design of outdoor space of Samyang Elementary School it first needs to examine the current and emerging needs of students, teachers and parents as community residents through the participatory design method. A series of workshops and interviews are taken to identify dreams and ideal spaces of each group. An assessment of existing school spaces and design possibility of reprogrammed outdoor spaces are proposed to match the major demands of participants. Selected outdoor places are chosen and designed to accommodate options for various play settings and to make the school pleasant places where members of the neighborhood can gather for relaxation in restful surroundings.
