  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate non-work relating activities at work. To do this, this paper proposes and analyzes a simple theoretical model consisting of factors such as non-work relating smartphone usage during working hours, non-work relating coffee break during working hours, work after working hours, and job performance. Our findings are revealed as following: First, non-work-related coffee break has positive effect on performance. Second, non-work-related smartphone usage generally has negative effect on performance, but it has positive effect on performance in personal communication with co-workers. Third, work after working hours has negative effect on performance.

  • This brief report aims to establish the keyword content of studies on occupational health and safety-the key framework of the world of work in the trade and health domain. Data were collected from the SCOPUS database, focusing on articles on occupational health and safety and related keywords, with an emphasis on abstracts and titles. Data were analyzed and summarized based on keywords included from the MeSH database. There were 24,499 manuscripts in the domain and 1,346 (5.40%) occupational health-related keywords, including those that overlapped. The most frequently referenced occupational health-related keyword was "occupational health" (452 articles), followed by "occupational safety" (141 articles). There were fewer keywords on occupational health in the trade and health literature. As the world of work has been prioritized because of the recent new normal of work life since the COVID-19 pandemic, examining the focus of occupational health priorities within the global perspective is crucial.

  • There is no standardized concept of "at-risk youth," but from an overall perspective, they are youth exposed to various crises. "At-risk youth" are categorized into personal, familial, educational, and social crisis areas, encompassing factors such as family background, educational difficulties, and mental health issues. There is a dance piece that addresses these "at-risk youth. Matthew Bourne created a dance piece that addresses "at-risk youth" in <Romeo + Juliet>. Currently, Matthew Bourne is a popular choreographer from England who reflects certain social phenomena and does not differentiate between classic art and public art. In 2019, Matthew Bourne collaborated with young creators to reinterpret <Romeo + Juliet> as a narrative centered around youth. In this dance work, youth is both the subject and the expression of the story. In <Romeo + Juliet>, "at-risk youth" are depicted in various forms. The work explores mental health issues including homosexuality, trauma, and depression among teenagers, as well as societal issues such as violence and weapons. The stage depicted how teenagers perceive themselves and how they navigate the challenges faced by "at-risk youth". We would like to interpret the work in relation to the types of "at-risk youth" and the expression methods of the performance. Of course, there may be differences when examining performance cases in other countries compared to youth in Korean society. However, It has meaning in itself to analyze Matthew Bourne's <Romeo + Juliet> in various ways in relation to "at-risk youth" and to examine social phenomena from a broader perspective through this.

  • The purpose of this work is to analyze categorial character of Russian verbal aspect from the typological perspective. To do this, first of all we will examine the overall historical process of grammaticalization of Russian verbal aspect. As a result of analysis, we have suggested that against wide-spread general assumptions in this area Russian verbal aspect correspond rather to lexico-grammatical category, than to purely typical grammatical category. Actually, I think this kind of approach as a pivotal point for the study of Russian verbal aspect. For example, this kind of typological approach has great advantages in a sense that firstly it gives us possibility of breaking from notorious routine Slavic-Centrism, secondly it can explain sufficiently and adequately various lexico-semantic usages of Russian verbs. Thirdly, our approach consistently accounts for various interactions of lexico-semantic, grammatical, discourse-pragmatic levels, in which Russian verbal aspect is involved. And finally, it sheds light on functional interactions between verbal categories, such as aspect, tense, and mood.

  • There is no doubt that science -and, therefore, science education- is central to the lives of all (NGSS, 2013). This manuscript focuses on ideas in astronomy that are at the foundation of elementary students' understanding of the discipline: the apparent motion of the sun explaining the day / night cycle on Earth. According to prior research demonstrating that neither children nor adults hold a scientific understanding of the big ideas of astronomy (NRC, 1996), understanding of concepts may base students' progress towards more advanced understanding in the domain of astronomy. We have analyzed the logic of the domain and synthesized prior research assessing children's spatial representation from an earth- and a space based perspective to develop a set of learning trajectories that describe how students' initial ideas about apparent celestial motion as they take school science can be build upon. In this study elementary students' representations were compared by their resident context including urban and rural. This study may present a first look at the use of a learning progression framework in analyzing the structure of astronomy education. We discuss how this work may eventually lead towards the development and empirical testing of how children learn to describe and explain apparent patterns of celestial motion.

  • The join operation is an important, fundamental operation in database systems, and it costs much to execute. In the literature, there are a number of technical attempts on development and evaluation of efficient join operations, all of which have been carried out In developers' perspective. This paper proposes a join operations benchmark that is dedicated to the evaluation of the join operations in database systems in users' perspective. This benchmark helps users select a database system that performs the join operations well in their work environment. The benchmark consists of 42 join queries, which are derived from on six performance factors that are picked out in two join categories. We have implemented this benchmark with two commercial database systems. The experimental results are also reported.
