  • Multilevel and Multivariate Structural Equation Mpdel is applied to handle the hierarchical nature of the data and explain complex relationship among socioeconomic factors of individuals and household, activity participation, and travel behavior using Puset Sound Transportation Panel data. From analysis, variations of individual activity participation and travel behavior can be divided into two categories : Within-household variation and Between-households variation. Empirical results show that the interdependency index(p) of variables for household members within a household is between 0.13 and 0.33 indicating high interdependency. These results suggest that Multilevel and Multivariate SEM approach is an appropriate modeling methodology and gives additional information for activity participation and travel behavior. Also most of personal and household characteristics influence on activity participation and travel behavior within a household as well as between households.

This study used 'festival visiting experience' as moderating variable with the expectation of difference in residents' perception according to visit. This study result indicated that residents can recognize local festival negatively if they feel they have no benefit from the festival even though the festival has many visitors with growing reputation. Also, festival visiting experience has no moderating effect on residents' participation intention in this study. The facts also find that the residents-oriented festival planning and promotion is more important in the partnership with local government and private sector-local residents. Further, it is very important to notice internal customer as well as external customer to ensure residents' satisfaction and participation.

Employee participating corporate philanthropy, such as giving or volunteering, are especially increasing recently. This study analyzed the effects of giving and volunteering participation of the employees on job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior mediated by recognition and attitude about corporate philanthropy. Structural equation modeling was employed for statistical analyses. As a result of the study, it is clear that giving participation of the employees has a positive influence in job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior, mediated by the recognition and attitude about corporate philanthropy. However, the effects of volunteering participation of the employees on job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior mediated by recognition and attitude about corporate philanthropy was non-significant. • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing vocational training participation among individuals aged 65 and older in order to enhance their employability. According to the research findings, the educational background and economic activity status of the elderly significantly impact their participation in vocational training. It was confirmed that economic activity and vocational training are closely related to the capacity development and increased employability of the elderly. Moreover, a considerable number of elderly individuals express a continued desire to work, and this group tends to participate more in vocational training. This underscores the importance of promoting vocational training among the elderly and developing suitable models, which holds significant policy implications. Logistic regression analysis revealed that gender, education, economic activity, desire to work, and pension income affect participation in vocational training. This highlights the necessity of formulating specific strategies in government support policies, particularly for those with lower educational backgrounds. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of approaches that encourage vocational training participation, especially among those with lower pension income.
