Change of Dry Matter Yield and Feed Values According to Different Growth Stages of Italian Ryegrass and Triticale Cultivated in the Central Northern Region (중북부 지역에서 생육단계에 따른 이탈리안 라이그라스와 트리티케일의 건물수량과 사료가치)

  • The field experiment was carried out to evaluate changes of dry matter productivity and feed value of Italian ryegrass and triticale at different growth stages in Wonju from 2018 to 2019. Italian ryegrass and triticale forages were harvested at an interval of seven days from May to June. The dry matter yield of Italian ryegrass with 7,870 kg/ha harvested on May 16 was significantly higher than that harvested on May 3 and May 9. The dry matter yield of triticale with 12,050 kg/ha harvested on June 7 was significantly higher than that harvested from May 3 to May 16. The crude protein yields harvested on May 16 were 890 kg/ha for Italian ryegrass and 1,103 kg/ha for triticale and were significantly higher than those harvested on May 3 and May 9. The total digestible nutrient yield(TDN) of Italian ryegrass with 5,223 kg/ha harvested on May 16 was significantly higher than that harvested on May 3 and May 9. The total digestible nutrient yield of triticale with 8,277 kg/ha harvested on June 7 was significantly higher than that harvested during May, but not different from that harvested after June 7. Considering the dry matter yield, crude protein yield and total digestible nutrient yield, it is suggested that the optimal harvesting times for Italian ryegrass and triticale seem to be May 16 and June 7, respectively.

  • A new approach in solving design centering problem is presented. Like most stochastic optimization problems, optimal design centering problems have intrinsic difficulties in multivariate intergration of probability density functions. In order to avoid to avoid those difficulties, genetic algorithm and very coarse Monte Carlo simulation are used in this research. The new algorithm performs robustly while producing improved yields. This result implies that the combination of robust optimization methods and approximated simulation schemes would give promising ways for many stochastic optimizations which are inappropriate for mathematical programming.

  • This paper proposes a fuzzy proportional-Integral (PI) controller for the precise tracking control of optical disk systems based on the genetic algorithm (GA). The fuzzy PI control rules are optimized by the GA to yield an optimal fuzzy PI controller. We validate the feasibility of the proposed method through a numerical simulation.

  • This Paper, first, tries to optimize the output specifications with uncertain characteristics. And then aims to solve the problem not only by making use of transformed multiple regression equation which can yield objective function of output characteristics but also by formulating developed multiple fuzzy goal programming using fuzzy set theory which can treat uncertainty easily, and the efficiency of these techniques, will be also demonstrated through a case study.

  • In this paper, we propose a stochastic LP model for determining an optimal input quantity in a single-product multi-stage production system with random yields. Due to the random yields in our model, each stage of the production system can result in defective items, which can be re-processed or scrapped at certain costs. We assume that the random yield at each stage follows an independent discrete empirical distribution. Compared to dynamic programming models that prevail in the literature, our model can easily handle problems of larger sizes.

  • Recombinant $\beta$-glucosidase from Thermus caldophilus GK24 was easily purified partially by a heat treatment procedure, resulting in 8-fold and recovery yield of 80% from crude enzyme. When the $\beta$-glucosidase was incubated with a 80% glucose solution (w/w), gentiobiose ($\beta$1,6-glucobiose) was the major product in the reaction mixture. The optimal conditions for producing gentiobiose (11% yields of total sugar) were pH 8-9 and 7$0^{\circ}C$ for 72 h.

  • The optimum conditions for the production of an antifungal antibiotic from Bacillus sp. YJ-63 were investigated. The oprimumized medium consisted of 1.5% soluble starch, 1% tryptone and 0.5% yeast extract, and temperature and initial medium pH for production were optimal at 35$^{\circ}C$ and pH 6.0, respectively. Production yield was significantly improved by shaking culture using 50 ml medium in 500 ml flasks. Under these conditions, the production of the antifungal antibiotic was growth-dependent, from 35hrs into cultivation to the stationary phase and endospore formation.

The 4,4'- (dichloromethyl)-biphenyl yield dependence on the biphenyl para-formaldehyde ratio, temperature and reaction duration has been studied. A mathematical model of the process has been developed and optimal conditions for the biphenyl chloromethylation procedure has been determined.
