  • 대다수 차량은 문제가 발생하면 사용자가 직접 정비소에 방문하여 정비가 이뤄지는 형태를 취하고 있다. 정비가 이뤄지는 동안 사용자는 운행을 하지 못하는 불편함과 함께, 대상 차량이 수익을 창출하는 차량이라면 경제적인 손실도 감수해야 한다. 실시간으로 차량 정보를 수집하고, 수집된 빅데이터를 기반으로 차량에서 발생할 수 있는 문제를 파악하여 사후 서비스 보다는 사전 서비스를 제공한다면, 안정된 차량 운행에 도움을 줄 수 있으며, 경제적 손실도 감소할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 IoT기반 게이트웨이를 설계하고, 실시간 차량 정보를 수집하여 빅데이터를 구성하여 실시간으로 차량 정보를 제공할 수 있는 플랫폼을 설계하였다.

A Regional Certificate Revocation List Distribution Method based on the Local Vehicle Location Registration for Vehicular Communications

  • A certificate revocation list(CRL) should be distributed quickly to all the vehicles in the network to protect them from malicious users and malfunctioning equipments as well as to increase the overall security and safety of vehicular networks. However, a major challenge is how to distribute CRLs efficiently. In this paper, we propose a novel Regional CRL distribution method based on the vehicle location registration locally to manage vehicle mobility. The method makes Regional CRLs based on the vehicles' location and distributes them, which can reduce CRL size and distribution time efficiently. According to the simulation results, the proposed method's signaling performance of vehicle's registration is enhanced from 22% to 37% compared to the existing Regional CRL distribution method. It's CRL distribution time is also decreased from 37% to 67% compared to the existing Full CRL distribution method.

Traffic Information Service Model Considering Personal Driving Trajectories

  • In this paper, we newly propose a traffic information service model that collects traffic information sensed by an individual vehicle in real time by using a smart device, and which enables drivers to share traffic information on all roads in real time using an application installed on a smart device. In particular, when the driver requests traffic information for a specific area, the proposed driver-personalized service model provides him/her with traffic information on the driving directions in advance by predicting the driving directions of the vehicle based on the learning of the driving records of each driver. To do this, we propose a traffic information management model to process and manage in real time a large amount of online-generated traffic information and traffic information requests generated by each vehicle. We also propose a road node-based indexing technique to efficiently store and manage location-based traffic information provided by each vehicle. Finally, we propose a driving learning and prediction model based on the hidden Markov model to predict the driving directions of each driver based on the driver's driving records. We analyze the traffic information processing performance of the proposed model and the accuracy of the driving prediction model using traffic information collected from actual driving vehicles for the entire area of Seoul, as well as driving records and experimental data.

도로주행환경을 고려한 차선유지지원장치 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Lane Keeping Assistance System)

  • Lane Keeping Assistance System(LKAS) is a kind of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems(ADAS) which are developed to automate/ adapt/ enhance vehicle systems for safety and better driving. The main system function of LKAS is to support the driver in keeping the vehicle within the current lane. LKAS acquires information on the position of the vehicle within the lane and, when required, sends commands to actuators to influence the lateral movement of the vehicle. Recently, the vehicles equipped with LKAS are commercially available in a few vehicle-advanced countries and the installation of LKAS increases for safety enhancement. The test procedures for LKAS evaluations are being discussed and developed in international committees such as ISO(the International Organization for Standardization). In Korea, the evaluations of LKAS for vehicle safety are planned to be introduced in 2016 KNCAP(Korean New Car Assessment Program). Therefore, the test procedures of LKAS suitable for domestic road and traffic conditions, which accommodate international standards, should be developed. In this paper, some bullet points of the test procedures for LKAS are discussed by extensive researches of previous documents and reports, which are released in public in regard to lateral test procedures including LKAS and Lane Departure Warning System(LDWS). Later, it can be helpful to make a draft considering domestic traffic situations for test procedures of LKAS.

  • 최근 톨게이트의 자동요금징수시스템 (ETC, Electronic Toll Collection System), 버스안내시스템, 주차관리 시스템 등 다양한 분야에서 근거리 무선통신 (DSRC, Dedicated Short Range Communication) 기술이 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이를 활용한 교통정보시스템을 설계하였다. 기존 차량감지기를 이용한 지점검지 기반의 교통정보시스템이 수집과 제공이 별도로 운영되는 시스템인 반면, 근거리무선통신을 이용한 구간검지 기반의 교통정보시스템은 기지국과 차량 단말기간 통신을 통하여 교통정보 수집 및 제공이 가능하다. 차량감지기가 지점정보를 구간교통정보로 가공하기 때문에 지점 통과속도가 구간평균속도로 변환되는 과정에서 혼잡 상황의 속도가 높게 나타난다. 소통상태가 악화되었을 경우, 차량감지기가 근거리 무선통신에 비해 통행속도가 높게 나타난다. 특히, 근거리 무선통신을 이용한 교통정보시스템의 통행속도의 데이터별 편차가 크게 감소하였고, 돌발상황 검지 및 교통상황을 신속하게 파악할 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

정면충돌 시 차량 탑승자의 하지 손상기전에 대한 분석 (Analysis of Lower Extremity Injury Mechanism Centered on Frontal Collision in Occupant Motor Vehicle Crashes)

  • Injury mechanisms of lower extremity injuries in motor vehicle accidents are focused on fractures, sprains, and contusions. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the analysis of lower extremity injury mechanism in occupant motor vehicle accident by using Hospital Information System (HIS) and reconstruction program, based on the materials related to motor vehicle accidents. Among patients who visited the emergency department of Wonju Severance Christian Hospital due to motor vehicle accidents from August 2012 to February 2014, we collected data on patients with agreement for taking the damaged vehicle's photos. After obtaining the verbal consent from the patient, we asked about the cause of the accident, information on vehicle involved in the accident, and the location of car repair shop. The photos of the damaged vehicle were taken on the basis of front, rear, left side and right side. Damage to the vehicle was presented using the CDC code by analytical study of photo-images of the damaged vehicle, and a trauma score was used for medical examination of the severity of the patient's injury. Among the 1,699 patients due to motor vehicle crashes, 88 (5.2%) received a diagnosis of lower extremity fracture and 141 (8.3%) were the severe who had ISS over 15. Nevertheless during 19 months for research, it was difficult to build up in-depth database about motor vehicle crashes. It has a limitation on collecting data because not only the system for constructing database about motor vehicle crash is not organized but also the process for demanding materials is not available due to prevention of personal information. For accurate analysis of the relationship between occupant injury and vehicle damage in motor vehicle crashes, build-up of an in-depth database through carrying out various policies for motor vehicle crashes is necessary for sure.

비전 시스템을 이용한 AGV의 차선인식 및 장애물 위치 검출에 관한 연구 (A Study on Detection of Lane and Situation of Obstacle for AGV using Vision System)

  • In this paper, we describe an image processing algorithm which is able to recognize the road lane. This algorithm performs to recognize the interrelation between AGV and the other vehicle. We experimented on AGV driving test with color CCD camera which is setup on the top of vehicle and acquires the digital signal. This paper is composed of two parts. One is image preprocessing part to measure the condition of the lane and vehicle. This finds the information of lines using RGB ratio cutting algorithm, the edge detection and Hough transform. The other obtains the situation of other vehicles using the image processing and viewport. At first, 2 dimension image information derived from vision sensor is interpreted to the 3 dimension information by the angle and position of the CCD camera. Through these processes, if vehicle knows the driving conditions which are angle, distance error and real position of other vehicles, we should calculate the reference steering angle.

Design and Implementation of Distributed Charge Signal Processing Software for Smart Slow and Quick Electric Vehicle Charge

  • As environmental pollution and fossil fuel energy problems from fuel vehicle have occurred, the interest of electric vehicle(EV) has increased. EV industry and energy industry have grown dynamically in these days. It is expected that the next generation of primary transportation will be EV, and it is necessary to prepare EV infra and efficient energy management such as EV communication protocol, EV charge station, and smart grid. Those EV and energy industry fields are now on growth. Also, the study and development of them are now in progress. In this paper, distributed charge signal processing software for smart slow and quick EV charge is proposed and designed for dealing with EV charge demand. The software consists of smart slow and quick EV charge schedule engine and EV charge power distribution core. The software is designed to support two charge station types. One is normal EV charge station and the other is bus garage EV charge station. Both two types collect the data from EV charge stations, and then analyze the collected data. The software suggests optimized EV charge schedule and deliveries EV charge power distribution information to power switchboard system, and the designed software is implemented on embedded system. It is expected that the software provides efficient EV charge schedule.

신, 구 차량 번호판 통합 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on Recognition of Both of New & Old Types of Vehicle Plate)

  • 최근 들어 기존의 녹색 바탕의 차량 번호판에서, 흰색 바탕의 신 차량 번호판으로 교체되고 있다. 하지만, 아직 기존의 차량 번호판이 신 차량 번호판으로 전면 교체 되지 않아 두 번호판 모두 사용되고 있기 때문에 주차 관리 시스템, 속도위반, 신호 위반 등 무인 카메라를 이용한 시스템에서, 기존 차량 번호판과 신 차량 번호판 특징에 맞는 인식 시스템이 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 기존의 녹색 번호판과 흰색 번호판 모두를 추출하고 인식 할 수 있는 알고리즘에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 다양한 환경 에서 획득한 차량 영상으로부터 번호판 영역을 추출하기 위하여 형태학적 특징을 이용하였고, 추출된 번호판 영역의 수평, 수직 히스토그램과 문자의 상대적 위치 정보를 이용하여, 문자를 분리하였다. 최종적으로, 분리된 문자를 인식하기 위해 주성분 분석법(PCA : Principal Component Analysis)과 선형 판별 분석법(LDA : Linear Discriminant Analysis)을 적용하여 인식 시스템을 구성하였다. 실험 결과, 불규칙한 조명 상태에서도 상대적으로 높은 추출률과 문자 인식률을 나타내었다.

엣지 디바이스에서의 딥러닝 기반 차량 인식 및 속도 추정을 통한 스마트 횡단보도 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of A Smart Crosswalk System based on Vehicle Detection and Speed Estimation using Deep Learning on Edge Devices)

  • 최근 우리나라의 자동차 보급률이 증가함에 따라 교통사고 발생 건수 또한 증가하고 있다. 특히, 차량간 사고뿐만 아니라 횡단보도 근처에서의 인명 사고 또한 증가하고 있어 횡단보도 교통안전에 대한 주의가 더욱 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 NVIDIA Jetson Nano급의 엣지 디바이스를 이용하여 횡단보도에 접근하는 차량을 인식하고 속도를 추정함으로써 횡단보도 주위 안전 상태를 예측하는 시스템을 제안한다. 딥러닝 기반 차량 위치 인식을 통하여 얻은 정보들을 바탕으로 다양한 기계 학습 기법을 학습시켜 차량 속도에 따른 위험 정도를 예측한다. 마지막으로, 실제 주행 영상을 이용한 실험 및 웹 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안하는 시스템의 성능과 활용 가능성을 검증하였다.
