초등학생의 창의적 인성과 진로인식 및 직업포부의 관계 (The Relationship Among Creativity Personality, Career Awareness, and Occupational Aspirations of Elementary School Student)

  • 본 연구는 초등학생 322명을 대상으로 창의적 인성과 진로인식, 직업포부간의 관계를 알아보고 직업포부에 미치는 창의적 인성과 진로인식의 영향에 대해서 검증하였다. 연구결과, 창의적 인성과 진로인식, 직업포부 간 유의한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 창의적 인성은 진로인식과 직업포부에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 창의적 인성을 독립변인으로, 직업포부를 종속변인으로, 그리고 진로인식을 매개변인으로 보고 변인간의 관계모형을 구조방정식을 통해 검증한 결과, 변인간의 관계모형은 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 초등학생의 효과적인 진로지도 및 상담방법에 대해 논의하였다.

치위생학과 학생의 직업인성역량에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Occupational Personality Competence of Dental Hygiene Students)

  • Background: A study was conducted to check the occupational personality competency status of students enrolled in the three-year dental hygiene department and to understand the contents of vocational personality education to be prepared according to these results. Methods: For 240 students enrolled in the Department of Dental Hygiene in Area, Daegu, the College Student Occupational Personality Scale (OPSU) was administered. Results: The higher the major satisfaction (F=10.589, p<0.000) and the higher the major performance (F=3.704, p<0.01), the higher the vocational personality competency. The average occupational personality competency for job adaptation was 3.96±0.47 points (out of 5 points). As for the average for each sub-area, consideration was the highest at 4.51±0.42, and confidence was the lowest at 3.54±0.84. Among professional personality competencies, the average of each sub-area showed the highest positive correlation in the order of positivity (r=0.835, p<0.00), reliability (r=0.769, p<0.00), and community consciousness (r=0.767, p<0.00), and consideration (r=0.696, p<0.00) showed the lowest correlation. Conclusions: Personalized career and employment education should be provided in consideration of the individual occupational personality level of dental hygiene students considering the characteristics of the health and medical fields, and individual counseling should be provided in areas that are insufficient or supplemented. In addition, dental hygiene ethics education is necessary for the development of vocational personality competencies in the dental hygiene curriculum, and universities should spare no support for completing vocational personality education programs in preparation for the future society by using comparative programs.

작업치료 전공 대학생의 성격과 감각처리가 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Personality and Sensory Processing on College Life Adaptation in Students Majoring in Occupational Therapy)

  • Purpose : This study investigated the effects of personality and sensory processing on college life adaptation in students majoring in occupational therapy. Methods : We conducted a survey study on 251 college students from March to May 2023. Personality, sensory processing, and college life adaptation were measured through the international personality item pool, adolescent/adult sensory profile, and student adaptation to college questionnaire, respectively. The general characteristics of students were analyzed using frequency analysis, and differences in college life adaptation and sensory processing characteristics were analyzed using independent t-tests and one-way ANOVA. The relationship between personality, sensory processing, and college life adaptation scores was analyzed using Pearson correlation analysis. The impact of personality and sensory processing on college life adaptation was analyzed using multivariate regression analysis using SPSS 25.0. Results : Correlations of all five personality factors, except openness to experience, were observed with students' college life adaptation. According to sensory processing characteristics, differences in college life adaption showed significant differences in sensory avoidance, poor registration, and sensory sensitivity. The variance of college life adaptation explained by each factor (based on R2) were 46% by personality and 26% by sensory processing. Among personality traits, neuroticism had a negative effect on college life adaptation, agreeableness and extroversion had positive effects, and low registration during sensory processing had a negative effect. Conclusion : This study suggests the provision of various activities and creation of an environment for college students with low sensory registration and neurotic traits to encourage positive changes. The results can be used to design a program that helps college students adapt to occupational therapy majors.

Do Personality and Organizational Politics Predict Workplace Victimization? A Study among Ghanaian Employees

  • Background: Workplace victimization is considered a major social stressor with significant implications for the wellbeing of employees and organizations. The aim of this study was to examine the influences of employees' personality traits and organizational politics on workplace victimization among Ghanaian employees. Methods: Using a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 631 employees selected from diverse occupations through convenience sampling. Data collection tools were standardized questionnaires that measured experiences of negative acts at work (victimization), the Big Five personality traits, and organizational politics. Results: The results from hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that among the personality traits neuroticism and conscientiousness had significant, albeit weak relationships with victimization. Organizational politics had a significant positive relationship with workplace victimization beyond employees' personality. Conclusion: The study demonstrates that compared with personal characteristics such as personality traits, work environment factors such as organizational politics have a stronger influence on the occurrence of workplace victimization.

보건의료종사자 맞춤형 직업인성교육을 위한 사례기반학습 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Case-Based Learning Program for Occupational Personality Education of Health Care Worker)

  • 기존 대학의 인성교육은 주로 직업윤리 교육이나 기초교양에 초점을 맞추어 이루어지고 있지만, 최근 4차 산업에 대비하여 인성교육 프로그램의 목적 및 방식이 변화되며 이와 관련된 직업인성교육 프로그램이 필요하다. 그러나 국내에서는 아직까지 보건의료종사자가 갖추어야 할 직업인성에 대한 교육 프로그램 개발에 대한 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 사례기반학습을 기초로 하여 4차 산업혁명에 요구되는 맞춤형 직업인성교육을 위한 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하여 효과를 확인하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 일반 사례 및 직업 현장에서의 사례를 개발하고 직업인성교육 프로그램 효능 검증을 위해 연구 도구를 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발 된 4차 산업혁명에 요구되는 맞춤형 직업인성교육을 위한 프로그램은 1회(120분), 4회차 프로그램으로 제공되었으며, 단일집단 사전사후 설계로 2019년 11월 26일부터 2020년 01월 05일까지 대구시 소재의 방사선과 및 임상병리과 2, 3학년 학생 52명을 대상으로 수행되었다. 자료 분석은 평균과 표준편차, Paired t-test로 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 4차 산업혁명에 요구되는 직업인성교육을 위한 프로그램 적용을 통해 보건의료종사자의 핵심직업인성 영역인 책임, 정직, 배려, 협업, 소통, 역량에 대해 향상된 것으로 확인되며, 직업인성교육의 긍정적인 효과를 확인하였다.

문화적 공감태도와 성격특성이 작업치료 전공 학생의 문화적 역량에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Cultural Empathy and Personality on Cultural Competence among Occupational Therapy Students)

  • 목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 작업치료 전공 학생들의 문화적 공감태도와 성격 특성이 그들의 문화적 역량에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하여 다양한 문화적 배경을 지닌 클라이언트를 대상으로 작업치료를 수행할 작업치료 전공 학생들의 문화적 역량 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 본 연구를 위해 전라남도 및 광주광역시 소재 대학에 재학 중인 155명의 작업치료 전공 학생들을 대상으로 2019년 8월 20일부터 2019년 9월 20일까지 온라인 설문지를 통해 일반적 특성, 문화적 공감태도(SEE), 성격요인(BFI), 문화적 역량(CCAI) 설문지를 사용하여 설문을 실시하였다. 연구대상자의 일반적 특성과 문화적 역량의 평균을 알아보기 위해 기술통계분석을 실시하였고, 성별에 따른 문화적 역량 차이를 알아보기 위하여 t-검정을 실시하였다. 또한 문화적 공감태도, 성격요인, 문화적 역량의 상관관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였다. 마지막으로 문화적 공감태도와 성격요인이 문화적 역량에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 위계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 : 본 연구 결과 문화적 역량은 성별에 따른 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났고, 문화적 공감태도와 성격요인은 문화적 역량과 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 문화적 역량에 영향을 미치는 요인은 문화적 공감태도(β=.357), 성격요인 중 개방성(β=.253)순으로 나타났다. 결론 : 본 연구는 작업치료 전공 학생들의 문화적 공감태도와 성격요인이 문화적 역량에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써 그들의 문화적 역량을 향상시키기 위한 교육 프로그램에 대한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

대학생의 감각처리와 성격의 관계 (Relationship between Sensory Processing and Personality in College Students)

  • 목적 : 대학생을 대상으로 성격 5요인을 사용하여 감각처리와 성격 간의 관련성을 알아보았다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 2022년 10월부터 12월까지 보건관련 학과 대학생 149명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 감각처리는 청소년/성인 감각프로파일(Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile; AASP)로 평가하고, 성격은 성격 5요인(International Personality Item Pool; IPIP)으로 평가하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS를 이용하여 기술통계, 빈도분석, 피어슨상관분석을 실시하였다. 결과 : 외향성과 친화성 성격은 모든 감각처리 유형과 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 감각추구를 제외한 모든 감각처리 유형과 신경성 성격 간, 감각추구 유형과 개방성 성격 간에 양의 상관관계가 있었고, 성실성 성격과 등록저하 및 감각예민 유형 간에 음의 상관관계가 있었다(p<.01). 결론 : 대학생의 감각처리와 성격 5요인 평가를 통한 성격 간에 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 추후 대학생에게 나타나는 여러 문제의 해결방안을 모색하는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

버스 운전자들의 성격 특성과 안전 직무수행 및 교통사고와의 관계 (The Relationship among bus Driver's Personality Traits, Safety Job Performance and Traffic Accidents)

  • The study examined the relationship between six broad personality traits(i.e., HEXACO; Honesty-humility, Emotionality, eXtraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Openness to experience), safety job performance, and traffic accidents of Korean occupational bus drivers. Based on the job performance model, we included safety participation as well as safety compliance as safety job performance. Analyses on the data from a total of 492 bus drivers showed that all HEXACO personality traits except Honesty-humility, were valid predictors for both safety compliance and safety participation. Honesty-humility was only related to safety compliance. Among the six personality traits, high conscientiousness and low emotionality were best predictors of safety job performance. As for traffic accidents, conscientiousness was a sole significant predictor. Furthermore, the mediation analysis showed that the effect of conscientiousness on traffic accidents was completely explained by safety compliance and safety participation. The implications of the current findings for practice and future research as well as the limitations of the current study were discussed.

사무직 근로자의 A, B형 성격유형에 따른 건강증진행위에 영향을 미치는 요인 비교 (Factors Influencing Health Promoting Behaviour according to the Type A/B Personality of White Collar Workers)

  • Purpose: The study was done to identify factors influencing health promoting behaviour in office workers according to the type A/B personality. Methods: The data were collected by questionnaires from 249 workers in Seoul and Gyung-gi province. Measures were a health promoting behaviour, the type of personality, self-esteem, perceived health status, social support, and job stress. The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficients, t-test, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 15.0 version. Results: This study suggests that A type office workers have a little lower degree in health promoting behaviour, self-esteem, social support and have a higher degree in perceived health status, perceived symptoms and job stress than those of B type office workers. The factors which influence A type office workers on health promoting behaviour are social support, perceived health status and self-esteem, which accounted for 40.2% of the variance and those of B type office workers, self-esteem and perceived health status accounted for 24.5%. Conclusion: It needs to develop and operate self-management program for health maintenance and promotion for the type A/B personality White Collar Workers.

The Effects of Personality and Attitude on Risky Driving Behavior Among Public van Drivers: Hierarchical Modeling

  • Background: Traffic injuries have become a significant public health problem in low- and middle-income countries. Several studies have examined the role of personality and attitude toward traffic safety in predicting driving behaviors in diverse types of drivers. Few studies have investigated risky behavior among public passenger van drivers. This study aims to identify the predictors of self-reported risky driving behavior among public van drivers. Method: A total of 410 public van drivers were interviewed at terminal stations in Bangkok. Hierarchical regression models were applied to determine the effects of demographics, personality traits, and attitude on self-reported risky driving behaviors. Results: The results indicated that drivers with a high education level, more working days, and high scores for normlessness and anger were more likely to report risky driving behaviors (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The personality traits and attitude toward speeding account for aberrant self-reported risky driving behavior in passenger van drivers. This could be another empirical basis for evidence-based road safety interventions in the context of public transport.
