A total of 102 patients who had an Open Heart Surgery from April 1976 to July 1981 were reviewed. 55 paeitnts were congenital heart disease and 47 patients were acquired heart disease. Among SS patients of congenital heart disease, 18 T 0 F, 18 V S D, 8 A S D, and each one case of l\ulcorner 0 R V, Truncus arteriosus, Ebstein anomaly, Single ventricle, P D A, P 5, A S D + P 5, E C D, V 5 D + P D A, A - P window, D C R V were noted respectively. In 47 patients of acquired heart disease and one Ebstein patient, 46 prosthetic values were implanted: 17 had M V R, 4 had A V R, 2 had M V R + A V R, and 4 had M V R + T V R and one T V R. The operative mortality was 8.S% in acquired heart disease and 17% in congenital heart disease. The follow up period was between 6 months and 6 years. There were 3 cases of late mortality in acquired heart disease and one case in congenital heart disease.

해녀콩(Canavalia lineata L. DC) 잎에서 유도한 캘러스를 pH 8인 완충용액에 한 시간 동안 처리하면 pH 6에서 보다 arginase의 활성이 약 두 배로 증가했다. 캘러스에서 얻은 arginase의 조효소액을 Sephacryl S-200 컬럼에서 분획하면 분자량이 각각 380 kD과 179 kD으로 나타났는데 분자량이 큰 arginase의 분획은 pH 8 처리구에서 각각 상대적으로 많이 나타났다. 그리고 pH 6에 0.5 mM Mn2+를 첨가하였을 때도 380 kD arginase의 분획이 크게 나타났으며, pH 6 처리에서 얻은 179 kD arginase 분획에 pH 8 처리를 하면 380 kD 분획으로 쉽게 전이될 수 있었다. pH 6 처리 후 추출한 arginase는 Mn2+의 첨가로 활성이 크게 증가하여 pH 8 처리 후 추출한 arginase와 비슷한 활성을 보이나, pH 8 처리 후 추출한 arginase는 Mn2+의 첨가로 더 이상의 활성증가를 보이지 않았다. Mn2+이 없는 조건에서 두 arginase의 Km값과 Vmax를 조사한 결과, 380 kD arginase는 22 mM과 1.61 $\mu$mole urea.min-1.mg-1 protein, 그리고 179 kD arginase는 30 mM과 0.79 $\mu$mole urea.min-1.mg-1 protein으로 측정되었다.

Tidal computations of $M_2,\;S_2,\; K_1$ and $O_1$ constituents in the northeast Asian sea are presented by blending the Topex/Poseidon (T/P) altimeter data into a hydrodynamic model with $5'{\times}5'$ resolution. A series of sensitivity experiments on a weighting factor, which is the control parameter in the blending method, are carried out using $M_2$ constituent. The weighting factor is set to be in inverse proportion to the square root of water depth to reduce noises which could occur in data-assimilative model by blending T/P data. Model results obtained by blending the T/P-derived $M_2,\;S_2,\; K_1$ and $O_1$ constituents simultaneously are compared with all T/P-track tidal data; Average values of amplitude and phase errors are close to zero. Standard deviations of amplitude and phase errors are approximately 2 cm and less than 10 degrees respectively. The data-assimilative model results show a quite good agreement with T/P-derived tidal data, particularly in shallow water region (h<250m). In deep water regions, T/P-derived tidal data show unreasonable spatial variations in amplitude and phase. The data-assimilative model results differ from T/P-derived data, but are improved to show reasonable spatial variations in amplitude and phase. In addition, the T/P-blended model results are in good agreement with coastal tide gauge data which are not blended into the model.

In 1982, N. Miller [5] showed a weighted $L^p$ boundedness theorem for pseudo differential operators with symbols $S^0_{1.0}$. In this paper, we shall prove the pointwise estimates, in terms of the Fefferman, Stein sharp function and Hardy Littlewood maximal function, for pseudo differential operators with reduced symbols and show a weighted $L^p$-boundedness for pseudo differential operators with symbol in $S^m_{\rho,\delta}$, 0{$\leq}{\delta}{\leq}{\rho}{\leq}1$, ${\delta}{\neq}1$, ${\rho}{\neq}0$ and $m=(n+1)(\rho-1)$.

A pre amplifier, a limiting amplifier, and a decision IC chipset for 10Gbit/s optical receiver was implemented with AIGaAs/GaAs HBT(Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor) technology. The HBT allows a cutoff frequency of 55GHz and a maximum oscillation of 45GHz. An optical receiver front-end was implemented with the fabricated pre amplifier IC and a PIN photodiode. It showed 46dB$\Omega$, gain and $f_{3db}$ of 12.3GHz. The limiting amplifier Ie showed 27dB small signal gain, $f_{3db}$ of 1O.6GHz, and the output is limited to 900mVp-p from 20mVp-p input voltage. The decision circuit IC showed 300-degree phase margin and input voltage sensitivity of 47mVp-p at 1OGbit/s.

This study presents the results of parametric studies of the P-M interaction diagram of hollow prestressed concrete bridge columns. Among the numerous parameters, this study concentrates on concrete compressive strength, prestressing steel reinforcement ratio, effective prestress, the Ds/Do ratio, and the Di/Do ratio. The strength and ductility of hollow prestressed concrete bridge columns were evaluated through quasistatic tests. The P-M interaction diagrams from the codes were different from that of the results, which were in good agreement with AASHTO-LRFD. Nondimensionalized P-M interaction diagrams were developed to predict the design resistance of hollow prestressed concrete bridge columns.

In this paper we consider a more general class of centralizers called I-centralizers. More precisely, given a prime ideal P of an arbitrary ring R we establish a connection between certain algebraic identities involving a pair of P-left centralizers and the structure of the factor ring R/P.

To increase the productivity of in vitro development, the antioxidants have been used for culture system of bovine oocytes and embryos. However, comparative studies on these molecules are rare and direct beneficial effects on blastocyst production cannot be discriminated for best results. The study was conducted to determine the influence of N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC), N-acetyl-L-cysteine amide (NACA), glutathione (GSH) and cysteamime (CYS) on maturation competence of COCs from GV to MII stage and productivity of blastocyst formation during in vitro fertilization and culture. There was no difference among maturation rates of oocytes to metaphase II with polar body with antioxidants for any of the treatment groups (p>0.05). However, the significant improvement on the rate of blastocysts ($32.3{\pm}5.0%$) was found in 0.1 mM CYS treatment than 0.3 mM NAC, 0.2 mM NACA or 0.5mM GSH (p<0.05). The addition of NAC ($18.8{\pm}3.7%$) or NACA ($21.2{\pm}3.9%$) did not improve development competence to morula and blastocysts than control ($24.4{\pm}4.1%$) and GSH ($26.5{\pm}5.0%$) (p>0.05). Our study showed that medium supplementation with CYS during IVM and IVC improved the rate of bovine embryo development but not with NAC, NACA and GSH addition.

The present study aimed to investigate the effects of skin care foods on the synthesis of pro-collagen type I C peptide and suppression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-1 secretion through an in vitro study using fibroblasts (Hs68 cells) and keratinocytes (HaCaT cells). Among the three skin care foods developed in this study, three beans cookie and avocado yoghurt influenced the production of pro-collagen type I C peptide and suppressed MMP-1 secretion; however, tiger nut Galsu drink did not exhibit these effects. All skin care foods, including three beans cookie and plain yoghurt ($50{\mu}g/mL$, p<0.001) influenced the suppression of MMP-1 in addition to other commercially available breast milk production support foods examined, such as Heath Heather ($50{\mu}g/mL$, p<0.001), Happy Mama ($50{\mu}g/mL$, p<0.01), BioLys ($50{\mu}g/mL$, p<0.001), Enfamama ($25{\mu}g/mL$, p<0.0001), and Pregnagen ($25{\mu}g/mL$, p<0.001). Avocado fruit yoghurt ($25{\mu}g/mL$, p<0.05), avocado fruit jam yoghurt ($50{\mu}g/mL$, p<0.01), Enfamama ($100{\mu}g/mL$, p<0.05), and Pregnagen ($100{\mu}g/mL$, p<0.05) influenced the production of pro-collagen type I C peptide and suppressed MMP-1 secretion. This result indicates that only avocado jam yoghurt significantly influenced both the prevention of skin keratinization and acceleration of recovery of skin fibrous structure. Therefore, avocado is a favorable ingredient for nutrition-balanced dietary foods or an essential ingredient in products for revitalization of human skin.

The lattice mismatch between ZnS and Si is negligible because of its value being 0.39%. In this study, $ZnS/_{(P)}Si$ solar cell were fabricated as a layer of ZnS is epitaxially grown on a silicon substrate by PVD method and its photovoltaic properties were measured and discussed. The heat treatment was done after deposition. As the temperature increased up to a certain value, the film has better perfection in crystal structure and electrical characteristics. Measurments of the change that occur in the ZnS films were made by SEM., X-ray diffraction. The optimal thickness of film showned $0.6{\mu}m$, being measured by SEM. The great improvement of the grain growth ZnS film came out after heat-treatment. The result obtained from the $ZnS/_{(P)}Si$ solar cell as follows:short circuit current; $I_{sc}=54mA/cm^2$,open voltage; $V_{oc}=400mV$, fill factor FF=0.72, conversion efficiency; ${\eta}=15.6%$ under the irradiation of 100 ($mW/cm^2$) focused by solar energy. And these are discussed in comparison with other kinds.
