The Milky Way did not form in isolation, but is the product of a complex evolution of generations of mergers, collapses, star formation, supernovae and collisional heating, radiative and collisional cooling, and ejected nucleosynthesis. Moreover, all of this occurs in the context of the cosmic expansion, the formation of cosmic filaments, dark-matter haloes, spiral density waves, and emerging dark energy. This paper summarizes a review of recent attempts to reconstruct this complex evolution. We compare simulated properties with various observed properties of the Local Group. Among the generic features of simulated systems is the tendency for galactic halos to form within the dark matter filaments that define a supergalactic plane. Gravitational interaction along this structure leads to a streaming flow toward the two dominant galaxies in the cluster. We analyze this alignment and streaming flow and compare with the observed properties of Local-Group galaxies. Our comparison with Local Group properties suggests that some dwarf galaxies in the Local Group are part of a local streaming flow. These simulations also suggest that a significant fraction of the Galactic halo formed at large distances and arrived later along these streaming flows.

This study conducted a comparative analysis on ordinances on landscape composition by local governments, which are a part of the policy to activate landscape composition, by examining the cases of Korea and Japan. For the purpose of specialized landscape compositions according to the own characteristics of Korean local governments, this study suggests factors to consider on the enactment of ordinance on landscape composition as follows. First, in order to compose landscape with an unique figure of the local government, it is required to collect and analyze informations about the local landscape, to provide consistent programs of education and publicity related to the landscape composition and to encourage the involvement of local citizens and reward it. Second, the construction of the ordinance needs to build a plan of landscape composition for each district focused on the landscape composition, to introduce a system which enables self-designation of an ordinance, to establish a detailed guidance, to assign the duty to keep the guidance and regulate punishment in case of a violation of the guidance. It could be done by completing the common or basic elements on the construction of the ordinance on landscape composition.

The purpose of this study is to classify the types of local market knowledge and knowledge sources in reverse knowledge transfer and analyze their relevance. To do so, first, we searched for papers related to the types of local knowledge published in 9 international business academic journals between 1988 and 2020, and derived four types of local market knowledge. Second, in order to classify the source of knowledge, we searched for papers related to network types published in 9 international business academic journals between 1988 and 2020, and divided them into 4 types to derive characteristics. Third, by examining the types of local market knowledge that can be obtained according to network types, a conceptual model was developed between them, and the suitability between local market knowledge and sources of knowledge was revealed through empirical analysis. Through empirical research on what kind of knowledge can be obtained depending on the knowledge sources, various business and academic implications can be provided to many companies.

This paper considers a TMN-based management system for the management of public ATM switching networks using a four-level hierarchical structure consisting of one network management system, several element management systems, and several agent-ATM switch pairs. Using Jackson's queuing model, we analyze the effects of one TMN command on the performance of the component ATM switch in processing local calls. The TMN command considered is the permanent virtual call connection. We analyze four performance measures of ATM switches- utilization, mean queue length and mean waiting time for the processor directly interfacing with the subscriber lines and trunks, and the call setup delay of the ATM switch- and compare the results with those from Jackson's queuing model.

The brushless motor is getting widely applied to the automotive component with the advantage of the high efficiency, high reliability and etc.. Most of the motor applications require the low vibration and acoustic noise. The cogging torque is the one of the main cause of the noise and vibration. The step-skewed rotor is used to reduce the cogging torque. We analyze the characteristics of the step-skewed rotor and non skewed rotor with the same stator by using 2-dimensional FEM. And then we analyze the characteristics variation according to the rotor eccentricity. The prototype is made and tested. As the results, the step-skewed rotor structure reduce the cogging torque and local radial force but it is more sensitive to rotor eccentricity.

In these days the global software market is experiencing diastrophism due to globalization, convergence, and the spread of web 2.0. In particular, today"s global economy has entered the so-called "Globalization 3.0" era, and the world is evolving into a flat world where labor, capital, and resources are moving freely. In this rapidly changing global economy, the growth of the Korean economy is in a state of continuous decline. Particularly software industry is also suffering continuously slow growth due to market saturation and low service earning, which require urgent countermeasures. Therefore, the purpose of this study is: 1) to analyze the current industrial condition of the software industry, which have special characteristics differ from manufacturing industry; and 2) to analyze the major obstacles of local companies working in the software industry in order to cope with the recent changes in the global market environment and 3) to draw out the strategy for the domestic software industry in gangwon province in order to promote local software industry and to achieve globalization.

Conformational flexibilities of the GlcNAc(β1,3)Gal(β)OMe are investigated through NMR spectroscopy and molecular modeling. Adiabatic energy map generated with a dielectric constant of 50 contains three local minima. All of the molecular dynamics simulations on three local minimum energy structures show fluctuations between two low energy structures, N2 at φ=80° and ψ=60° and N3 at φ=60° and ψ=-40°. We have presented adequate evidences to state that GlcNAc(β1,3)Gal(β)OMe exists in two conformationally discrete forms. Two state model of N2 and N3 conformers with a population ratio of 40:60 is used to calculate the effective cross relaxation rate and reproduces the experimental NOEs very well. Molecular dynamics simulation in conjunction with two state model proves successfully the dynamic equilibrium existed in GlcNAc(β1,3)Gal(β)OMe and can be considered as a powerful method to analyze the motional properties in the structure of carbohydrate. This observation also cautions against the indiscriminate use of a rigid model to analyze NMR data.

The objective of this study is to analyze and suggest the policy on devolution of environmental administrative function between central and local government in Korea. This study also research to make the prospect of power from central government to local government's officers by analyzing the characteristics and contents, standards of local devolution and the attitudes of central and local governments on its process from September 2001 to April 2003. The date collected from the more than 675 questionnairs of government officers included as the Ministry of Environment and local government. The date also collected from interview and field survey. The questionnaire had collected in two times between 2001 and 2003. The environmental administrative function has reallocated from central government to local government since 2001. The devolution focused on simple implemental services and institutional delegated services might result in the lack of initiative and locality of local governments. Therefore, devolution should be proceed towards reinforcing the decision-making capacity and financial and manpower of local government. This paper also showed the weakness on speciality and experience on local bureaucratic in Korean society. This study announced that local government's officer has appeared the negative impact on environmental regulation and the conflict between central and local government.

The effects of the local lifetime control on the characteristics of IGBT are investigated using the 2-dimensional device simulator, MEDICI. Many lumped resistive turn-off simulations are carried out to analyze the effects of the minority carrier lifetime, the width, and the position of the region with a reduced local minority carrier lifetime. As a result of these simulations, it is concluded that the on state voltage drop$(V_{CE,SAT})$ is only slightly increased while the switching behavior is greatly improved if the low lifetime region is properly set. And these results are compared with IGBTs having uniform lifetime.

The Jakarta Provincial Government utilizes the YouTube channel to interact with citizens and enhance transparency. The purpose of this study is to explore online perceptions of local government image perceived by online audiences through the YouTube platform. The concepts of organizational image and credibility in the political image are adapted to analyze online public perceptions on the Jakarta Provincial Government image. Using the video summarization approach on Three hundred and forty-six official YouTube videos, which were uploaded from 1 March 2016 to 31 May 2016, and content analysis of Eight thousand two hundred and thirty-seven comments, this study shows both political and bureaucratic image emerge concurrently in the Jakarta Provincial Government case. The typology model is proposed to describe and explain the four image variations that occurred in the case study. Practical recommendations are suggested to manage YouTube channel as one of the social media used in the local government context.
