The purpose of this study is to clarify the correlation between the degree of patients daily activities and that of a sense and social support of families. This study covers families of 252 patients under home health nursing care at 6 University Hospitals during the period of March to May. 1999. The data were collected by using three different questionnaires. Data were analysed by utilizing SAS program such as frequency. average. percentage. t-test. ANOVA. Scheffe test and Pearson Correlation Coefficient. The results were as follows: 1. The average score of patients' daily living activity was $2.36\pm0.67$. $97.2\%$ patients turned out to be. in part. dependent on their family's care. $66.5\%$ of the patients were still dependent on their families in walking: $66.3\%$ In bathing: and $61.0\%$ in using toilet. 2. The average score burdened family caregivers had felt was 2.25 in 4 full point which can be interpreted as average. Among the six burden dimensions. time was said to be the No. 1 burden-yielding factor. When it comes to the characteristics of patients. there were tendencies for patients with lower incomes residing in communal housing. with cerebrovasculal diseases and with higher score of daily living activity to show a higher burden scores. 3. The average score of social support was 2.49 in 5 point. which represents a average score. Among other items. the opportunity of social integration was 2.66. topping the list whereas a chance of upbringing was starkly low at 2.42. The higher scores of social support were shown in cases where the caregiver was male spouse. total care giving duration exceeded 25 months and malignant patients daily living activity scores were low. 4. The score of patients daily activity was positively correlated to the degree of the family burden (r=0.1942). Data indicates there was direct correlation between daily living activity and burden of time consuming, self-improving and physical impairment. 5. The score of the patients daily living was negatively correlated to the social support (r=0.3414), As a whole. there was negative correlation between social support and the formation of intimacy and self-confidence.
This study was performed to grasp relations between different sub-factors of youths' leadership living skills and between the sub-factors of youths' leadership living skills and personal features (support by parents, support by peers, sense of self-respect, sense of self-effectiveness) in order to generally understand the characteristics of youths. The result and conclusion of this study are as follows. First, the sub-factors of youths' leadership living skills showed various kinds of correlations and especially, measures to improve learning ability skill, self-understanding skill and group activity skill are necessary for healthy and general growth in adolescence. Second, the sense of self-respect showed positive correlations with decision making skill and self-understanding skill and programs are to improve leadership living skill gradually and positively through the enhancement of the sense of self-respect. Third, the degree of support by peers showed relations with decision making skill and group activity skill meaning the importance of peer groups in adolescence and diverse measures to form peer groups are necessary.
Objectives : The objective of this paper is to clarify the factors of the geriatric oral health influencing oral health-related quality of life by using the contracted OHIP-14 tool. Methods : This research conducted individual interview for 177 seniors using senior citizen center by using structured questionnaires. SAS(Ver.9.2) Program was used for the collected data to perform frequency analysis, reliability and scale analysis, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. Results : The oral health-related quality of life level related to oral health according to the demographical characteristics showed that it was better in case that they are younger, married, more educated and have more living expenses. Except for age, oral health-related quality of life was connected to scholastic achievement, living expenses, subjective health condition and subjective oral health condition. The factors influencing the oral health condition were subjective health condition, marriage, scholastic achievement, living expenses, age and sex. As the subjective health condition is better, in case of cohabitation of only a couple and as the age or scholastic achievement is higher and the living expenses are more, the oral health condition was better. The factors influencing oral health-related quality of life were subjective oral health condition, marriage, sex, subjective health condition, scholastic achievement and living expenses. As the subjective oral health condition and health condition were better and in case of sole living and cohabitation of only a couple, male's oral health-related quality of life was higher. Conclusions : It is considered that because the geriatric oral health condition becomes an important factor to oral health-related quality of life, the development of the geriatric oral health business and the geriatric heal education program to maintain and improve oral health is required and the activation of the oral health insurance policy for preventive dental service is necessary.
Purpose: This study compared climacteric symptoms, knowledge of menopause and menopausal management of middle aged women living in urban and rural areas. Method: The study subjects included 287 women aged 40-64 years in P city and G town. The instruments used in this study were a climacteric symptoms scale and knowledge of menopause and a menopausal management scale. Data was analyzed with SPSS Win 10.0. Result: The mean age of middle-aged women living in urban areas was 47.9 years and that of women in rural areas was 48.0 years. The mean score of the climacteric symptoms of middle-aged women living in urban and rural areas was 48.8 and 50.4 respectively, and was not significantly different. The mean score of the knowledge of menopause of middle-aged women living in urban areas was higher than that of women in rural areas (p=.017). In addition, the mean score of the menopausal management of middle-aged women living in rural areas was higher than that of women in urban areas. Conclusion: This study suggests that not only general characteristics but also living areas should be considered in developing nursing interventions to manage the climacteric symptoms of middle aged women.

This study aims to examine the existing conditions of elderly housing facilities and to understand the characteristics and types of outdoor living environments utilized by the elderly. To achieve this, this study relied on two methods: a descriptive method of researching publications and related scholastic writings, and an empirical study that included a survey of present conditions and interviews with the elderly and their nursing care providers. Additionally, evaluation of usage patterns and physical traces were carried out in twelve cases. First, the study showed that all of the facilities, which are fixed in particular areas, had difficulty providing spatial diversity that met the needs of residences. This means that these areas lack flexibility. Activity programs were, however, carried out in a lively manner in well-equipped spaces. Second, an evaluation of outdoor living environments showed that basic facilities were more than adequate, in general. Consideration of resident's physical strength and taste, however, was evaluated as low, indicating that facilities and spaces should be considered to reflect the ages, physical capacity, diverse tastes and hobbies of the elderly, as well. Third, examining the usage patterns of outdoor living activities of residents, the purposes of using outdoor spaces of elderly housing facilities were mainly 'to take a walk' and 'to engage in simple physical exercise' and the walkway, simple sports facilities, and building entrances were highly utilized. The importance of outdoor living environments values was a mean of 4.07 and satisfaction was 4.17. This indicates that residents thought that outdoor living environments are very important and currently satisfied with them.

Bisphosphonates have been approved for Paget's disease, cancer-related hypercalcemia, bone involvement in multiple myeloma or solid tumors and osteoporosis. Although, underlying pathophysiological mechanisms remain unclear, it seems that bisphosphonates inhibit osteoclast precursor cells, modulate migratory and adhesive characteristics and induce apoptosis of osteoclasts. Furthermore impacts on angiogenesis, microenvironment and signal transduction between osteoclasts and osteoblasts. In this report, we present a case of oral bisphosphonates induced osteonecrosis of the mandible in a 84-year-old patient who received for two years. Two tapered screw vent implants(Zimmer, USA) were placed in the area of first and second molar. Two weeks later after crowns restored, some inflammatory signs and symptoms were observed on the second molar area. Sequestrum was formed and the sequestrum was removed with the implant. Frequent follow-up checks and oral hygiene maintenances were done and the first molar implant was restored. There is insufficient evidence suggests that duration of oral bisphosphonate therapy correlates with the development and severity of osteonecrosis. Therefore, dentists should not overlook the possibility of development of bisphosphonate induced osteonecrosis in patients who have taken oral forms of medication for less than three years.
This study is to examine and analyze the the connection types between location knowledge and understanding the characteristics of world regions which 8th grade students are recognizing. In the analysis of the relation between the location knowledge and region understanding(clothing, food, housing and living style and so on), I analyzed the relation types between location knowledge and region living figures. Absolutely understanding the region needed the efact location knowledge on the world map, the knowledge of the longitude and latitude, symbolic area and the higher ranking region and the information about natural surroundings in which I grasp the region living figures. In addition, it needed the knowledge of locational attributes for the connection formation between region location knowledge on maps and understanding the region. The relative location knowledge related to the other regions and those natural surroundings and the linkage of those region locational attributes are needed in order that the location knowledge on a map could be connected to the knowledge about the actual region living figures. So I call it 'the structured location knowledge'. In order to form the structured location knowledge, the location knowledge of region on a map have to be connected to the multiple knowledge about absolute and relative locations with the knowledge of diverse location attributes. Therefore, it would be necessary that the location teaming for getting the characteristics of region have to be systematically accomplished departments of location-climate$^{\circ}{\mathbb{S}}$geographical features-region living figures.
This study analyzed the result of the National Assessment of Educational Achievement (NAEA) in a Grade 9 Science class. The study first found that the ratio of below basic achievement was 8.1 percent. This means that a large number of middle school students have not reached basic scientific literacy. Second, the ratio of male students in the below basic level was 10.4 percent, which was double the ratio of female students at 5.5 percent. Third, according to the analysis of achievement by gender, female students outperformed male students. In addition, the female students' standard deviation was smaller than that of the male students, and their scaled scores were distributed nearer the average than that of the male students. Furthermore, analysis of achievement by content domains indicated that females outperformed in all content domains including motion and energy, materials, life, and earth sciences. Showing a similar tendency in the behavior domains, females outperformed males in all behavior domains except the understanding domain. Last, for achievement by living area, students living in the middle and small cities showed the highest scaled score, 196.81. Whereas the average scaled score of the students living in the big cities was 196.15; that of the students living in rural areas was 194.86. With respect to the standard deviation, big cities had the largest, 33.73. That of middle and small cities was 33.70, and of rural areas was 32.92. Although students in cities showed higher achievement in science compared to students in rural areas, they had a bigger gap in academic achievement.
New infectious diseases have broken out repeatedly across the world over the last 20 years; COVID-19 is causing drastic changes and damage to daily lives. Furthermore, as there is no denying that new epidemics will appear in the future, there is a continuous need to develop measures aimed towards responding to economic damage. Against this backdrop, the living population is an important indicator that shows changes in citizens' life patterns. This study analyzes time-based and socio-environmental characteristics by detecting and classifying changes in everyday life caused by COVID-19 from the perspective of the floating population. k-shape Clustering is used to classify living population data of each of the 424 dong's in Seoul measured by the hour; then by applying intervention analysis and One-way ANOVA, each cluster's characteristics and aspects of change in the living population occurring in the aftermath of COVID-19 are scrutinized. In conclusion, this study confirms each cluster's obvious characteristics in changes of population flows before and after the confirmation of coronavirus patients and distinguishes groups that reacted sensitively to the intervention times on the basis of COVID-related incidents from those that did not.
