This study aims to investigate how learning materials are used in an outstanding English class and to analyze learning materials and their use in primary English classroom activities. To this end, An Analytic Scheme of Learning Materials Use (ASLMU) is used to quantify utilization patterns of learning materials. The findings are: Learning materials are most actively used in the development period, followed by introduction and consolidation. The teacher's rate of using learning materials is much higher than student's, and the rate of using materials for whole students is higher than the rate of using materials for an individual or groups. It requires developing learning materials toward more a student-centered class because the teacher's occupancy of the learning materials is fourfold compared to the student's occupancy. Also, non-language materials are used more than language materials, and English materials are used more than Korean materials. Most of the materials are used to present a question and explain. The findings of the study are expected to suggest features of learning materials in an outstanding English class and application method of learning materials to primary English teachers.

This study establishes the scientific basis for the use of digital learning materials through the education-neurological research method and derives implications for education based on education-neurological understandings. The main findings of the education-neurological analysis of digital learning materials are as follows: First, various sensory stimuli go through multiple sensory neurons and deep sections of the upper sphere and make possible the cooperative processing of information. Second, indirect experience from digital learning materials helps students understand the learning contents vividly through the mirror neuron system. Third, positive emotions originating from digital learning materials promote functions of dopamine, the reticular activating system, frontal-striatal circuit, cerebrum cortex. Based on the findings, the study suggests the following educational implications. First of all, when selecting digital learning materials, teachers should consider expression forms, learning contents, the flow of classes, and the adverse effects of digital learning materials. Next, it is effective to utilize digital learning materials in the lecture for provoking curiosity and enjoyment, maintaining interest and effort, and reviewing what students learned.

The purpose for this study is to check if research activities can make positive effects on inquiry instruction utilizing materials when compared to traditional instruction utilizing the textbook. The effects of the class should be measured both in cognitive domain and in affective domain. The cognitive domain was measured by the change in achievements in learning science, and the affective domain was measured by the change in learning attitudes of science. The assumptions to be verified in this study were as follows. First, achievements in learning science are higher in the learner oriented inquiry instruction utilizing materials than in the learner oriented traditional instruction utilizing the textbook. Second, learning attitudes of science are higher in the learner oriented inquiry instruction utilizing materials than in the learner oriented traditional instruction utilizing the textbook. The results of the research are as follows. In the cognitive domain, achievements in learning science showed significant change(p=.045) measured by verifying the score for the difference among the averages for each sub-scale, in 5% of meaningful probability, and were higher in the inquiry instruction utilizing materials study. In the affective domain, learning attitudes of science showed significant change(p=.019) measured by verifying the score for the difference among the averages for each sub-scale, in 5% of meaningful probability, and were higher in the inquiry instruction utilizing materials study. In learning attitudes of science, 2 items(self-conception of science, attitudes of learning science) out of 3 items(self-conception of science, attitudes of learning science, learning habits of science) showed significant changes (p=.045, p=.001). But the difference(learning-habits of science) was not significant(p=.914).

Even though many researchers have reported that everyday contexts can arouse students' interests and improve their science learning, the connection between everyday context and physics learning is not yet clearly discussed. In our study, at first, we assumed five guidelines for helping the development of teaching materials for physics learning in everyday context. Based on these guidelines, we developed teaching materials for understanding basic optics and applied these materials to ninth grade students. From the positive responses of students and science teachers about the developed materials, we could confirm that the guidelines were reflected well in the materials. And also, it was found that students and teachers wanted to learn or teach context-based physics in future classroom learning. However, all students do not receive benefits from learning physics in everyday context. By analyzing students' actual learning processes and interviews with them, we found five potential impeding factors which could hinder students' successful learning of physics in everyday context. As a result, we suggested five recommendations for overcoming these impeding factors.

In this paper, a machine learning and deep learning model for the design of circuit analog (CA) radar absorbing structure with a cross-dipole pattern on a glass fiber fabric reinforced plastic is presented. The proposed model can directly calculate reflection loss in the Ku-band (12-18 GHz) without three-dimensional electromagnetic numerical analysis based on the geometry of the Cross-Dipole pattern. For this purpose, the optimal learning model was derived by applying various machine learning and deep learning techniques, and the results calculated by the learning model were compared with the electromagnetic wave absorption characteristics obtained by 3D electromagnetic wave numerical analysis to evaluate the comparative advantages of each model. Most of the implemented models showed similar calculated results to the numerical results, but it was found that the Fully-Connected model could provide the most similar calculated results.

In this paper, we propose an authoring methodology of differentiated instruction-learning materials in mathematics course using MathML and XSLT, and give utilizing suggestions of these materials as differentiated textbook and individual learning. Incorporating MathML into instruction-learning materials, there are many advantages such that view of the materials in web browser is improved since mathematical expressions are compatible with text, and an expression can be modified in more convenient way since the expression is represented in text format not an image. In authoring of differentiated materials, the author provides one document for various levels of students. Then, each level of materials is generated from the document via XSLT transformation. This enables author-driven progress control rather than student-driven which does in previous approaches, since students don't need to select components of the material.
