A Study on the Difference between Balanced and Dominant Learning Styles and Learning Strategies by Learning Factors of College Students

  • 본 연구는 전문대학생을 대상으로 학습과 관련된 요인인 전공계열, 성취도, 학년에 따라 학습양식 및 학습전략에 차이가 있는지, 학습양식에 따라서도 학습전략에 차이가 있는지 연구하였다. 우세한 학습양식 중심으로 차이를 분석했던 선행연구들과 달리, 학습양식을 균형적, 우세한 학습양식으로 세분화하였다. M전문대학의 179명을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 학습요인에 따른 학습양식과 학습전략의 차이는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 학습양식에 따른 학습전략 활용수준에서는 정보입력 차원에서 학습양식에 따라 인지전략 활용에 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 정보처리 양식에 따라서는 모든 전략 활용에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 활동적 학습자는 인지전략 활용수준이 높았고, 시각적 학습자는 외적전략 활용수준이 높았으며, 정보를 이해할 때 균형적 학습자는 내적전략 활용수준이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 연구결과에 따라 학습지원 프로그램을 통해 학습양식을 이해하고 이에 따라 학습전략 활용수준을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다.

유아의 조기영어교육과 이중언어발달에 영향을 주는 요인 (Children's Early English Education and the Factors on their Bilingual Language Development)

  • The study purposes to explore the effects of individual characteristics and home environments of children on their bilingual language aquisition, that is, to examine whether their English language competency is different from their Korean language competency depending on those variables. Thus English or Korean language competency of children who had had early exposure in English learning were studied in terms of child's individual characteristics such as age, gender, exposure period to English, intelligence, and experiences of visiting English-speaking countries, and home environments such as parental age, educational level, income level, their perceived English competency, their perceived significance of English and Korean language, and the frequency of using English at home. 72 children who went to English kindergarten were tested with Peabody Pictures Vocabulary Test-Revised (PPVT-R) in Korean version and in English version respectively. The results show that child's intelligence and experiences of visiting English-speaking countries influence their Korean language competency. Also child's age, exposure period to English and experiences of visiting English-speaking countries influence their English language competency. Moreover their mother's educational background, father's English fluency, mothers' English fluency, and the frequency of using English at home influence child's English language competency, whereas any variables did not influence child's Korean language competency. Accordingly, child's English and Korean language competencies are related to each other.

A study to improve the national technical qualification practical evaluation method of National Competency Standards in the field of organic agriculture

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest an improvement plan for the National Technical Qualification Practical Evaluation focusing on National Competency Standards. First, in order to strengthen practical techniques such as field abilities and expertise, practical evaluation methods were applied to the National Competency Standards, referring to a learning module focused on field performance. Second, an expert advisory committee in the field of organic agriculture was utilized to compare, analyze, and match the competency unit and competency unit elements of the National Competency Standards with the national technical qualification examination standards in field of organic agriculture. In addition, in order to identify work in progress in the industrial field, share professional practice skills, and analyze facilities and equipment, we visited an organic agriculture industry site. Through this, a practical evaluation exam was developed. Subsequently, in order to confirm the adequacy of the developed exam, the pilot test assessment was conducted for those majoring in organic agriculture. Finally, as a feasibility study, a survey was conducted. Based on the results, greater technical job competency in the field of organic agriculture will contribute to strengthening knowledge in this field by suggesting an improvement plan for the national technical qualifications practical evaluation method in the field of organic agriculture.

중학생을 위한 제로에너지 주택디자인 STEAM 교육프로그램 개발 연구 (A Study on the STEAM Program Development of Zero Energy House Design for Middle School Students)

  • STEAM education is an effective teaching method to develop self-problem-solving skills through creative thinking. In order to revitalize STEAM education, various program models are being developed recently. The purpose of this study is to develop a STEAM education program based on the project-based learing method that includes the process of solving global environmental problems. The STEAM element was extracted by linking the zero energy house design with the middle school curriculum, and the STEAM education program was developed considering career activities. It was analyzed whether the developed program can improve STEAM core competence and job preparation ability. The education program was conducted for middle school students and the program was evaluated through questionnaires. In order to strengthen the STEAM competency, project-based learning method was applied and it was able to enhance the active problem solving ability of learners. In addition, opportunities for career experience could be provided through career exploration programs and various activities. Through this STEAM education program, it is expected to contribute to cultivating human resources with convergence knowledge and core competency.

Prospective Teachers' Competency in Teaching how to Compare Geometric Figures: The Concept of Congruent Triangles as an Example

  • Mathematically deductive reasoning skill is one of the major learning objectives stated in senior secondary curriculum (CDC & HKEAA, 2007, page 15). Ironically, student performance during routine assessments on geometric reasoning, such as proving geometric propositions and justifying geometric properties, is far below teacher expectations. One might argue that this is caused by teachers' lack of relevant subject content knowledge. However, recent research findings have revealed that teachers' knowledge of teaching (e.g., Ball et al., 2009) and their deductive reasoning skills also play a crucial role in student learning. Prior to a comprehensive investigation on teacher competency, we use a case study to investigate teachers' knowledge competency on how to teach their students to mathematically argue that, for example, two triangles are congruent. Deductive reasoning skill is essential to geometry. The initial findings indicate that both subject and pedagogical content knowledge are essential for effectively teaching this challenging topic. We conclude our study by suggesting a method that teachers can use to further improve their teaching effectiveness.

CORS 기반 필터를 이용한 NCS 학습모듈 제공 시스템 (NCS Learning Module Providing System Using CORS Based on Filter)

  • 본 연구는 수시로 변경 및 갱신되는 국가 직무능력 표준 (NCS; national competency standards) 학습모듈을 제공하는 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안 시스템의 프로비저닝(provisioning)서버는 학습모듈을 제공하며, 관리서버는 장애관리, 빌링, 요청관리, 통계 및 집계등을 수행하며, 타겟서버는 도메인을 통하여 프로비저닝서버에 학습모듈을 요청한다. 제안 시스템은 프로비저닝서버와 타겟 서버의 도메인 일치 여부를 판단하는 CORS (cross-origin resource sharing) 기반 필터를 이용하여, 학습모듈의 제공을 결정하였다. 제안 시스템은 신규 갱신 또는 삭제되는 NCS기반 학습모듈에 대해 원격으로 패치 및 유지 보수할 수 있다. 또한, 기존 교육 관련 시스템과 연계하여 콘텐츠를 제공할 수 있으며, 타겟서버 도메인에 대한 관리가 가능하여 향후 확장기능을 도입하여 활용할 수 있다.

학습자 중심의 교수역량에 근거한 교수행동 분석 (Analysis of Teaching Behavior Based on the Learner-Centered Teaching Competency)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze teaching behavior based on the learner-centered teaching competency. For the study, the related literatures were reviewed focusing on the experiences and suggestions in developing of learner-centered teaching competency. In addition, interviews with 6 professors were conducted and their teaching design were analyzed. The keys of analysis were perspective of teaching behavior, self-monitoring of teaching behavior, consulting of teaching behavior based on the learner-centered teaching competency. The findings of this study were as follows; most of professors recognized correlations of teaching and learning. But, there were some barriers co-work of learners in teaching behavior.

능력 중심 교육의 가치가 공업계 고등학교 교육의 운영 개선에 주는 시사점 (Suggestions for Improvement of Industrial High School Education Based on the Value of Competency-Based Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest plans to improve the industrial high school through the inquiry of Competency-Based Education(CBE). The suggestions are as followings: (1) Selection and organization of the educational contents of industrial high school must be based on job analysis. (2) Instructional objectives must be defined as a performance objective and enabling objectives. (3) Instruction must be individualized in method, the instructional contents must be organized in the unit of module. (4) Evaluation system must be not knowledge based but performance-based. (5) Physical Environment of work shop must be organized based on facilities, equipments and machines abstracted by job analysis. (6) Competency-Based Teacher Education(CBTE) program is required to train competent teachers in practice.

과학 역량 모델의 제안과 과학 교육과정에의 적용 (Suggesting a Model of Science Competency and Applying it to Science Curriculum)

  • 2015개정 교육과정에서 새롭게 과학과의 핵심역량이 제시되었으나 역량 개념에 명확하지 않아 일선 학교에서는 많은 혼란과 어려움이 발생하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 과학 역량을 구성하는 주요 요소들은 무엇이고 역량의 구성 요소들이 전체적으로 어떤 연관성을 가지고 있는지 종합적으로 이해하기 위해 역량에 대한 정의와 역량의 구성 요소에 대한 문헌 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과에 기초하여 6개 요소(인지 외적 특성, 지식, 기능, 상황, 수행, 수준)로 이루어진 과학 역량 모델(A Model of Science Competency: MSC)를 제안하였고 이러한 과학 역량 모델을 활용하여 과학 교육과정의 성취 기준을 역량 중심의 학습 목표로 기술하는 방법을 탐색하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서 제안된 과학 역량 모델의 장단점과 후속 연구에 대해 논의하였다.

미래사회를 대비한 청소년의 생애학습역량지수 개발 및 타당화 연구 (Development and Validation of Korean Youth Lifelong Learning Competency Indicators for Future Society)

  • 이 연구는 21세기 변화하는 미래사회를 준비하기 위해 국내 청소년들이 갖추어야 할 생애학습역량의 개념과 이를 구성하는 구성요인들을 선정하고 이에 대한 타당성과 신뢰성을 검증하는데 목적이 있었다. 이를 위해 청소년 생애학습역량을 개념화 하였으며, 이를 구성하는 하위 역량요인을 도출하였다. 도출한 생애학습역량의 구성체제의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 전문가 패널 및 중고등학생 대상으로 타당성 조사를 실시하였다. 전문가 패널 대상 생애학습역량지수의 타당성 조사는 청소년 관련 전문가 총 28명으로 구성하여 2차에 걸쳐 진행하였다. 전문가 패널 대상 타당성 조사를 통해 수정 보완된 생애학습역량지수의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 중고등학생을 대상으로 타당성 조사를 실시하였다. 타당성 조사에 참여한 연구대상은 서울, 경기, 인천지역 중고등학생 719명이었다. 연구결과 총 3개 역량에 9개의 하위역량이 개발되었는데 청소년 생애학습역량은 사고력(통합적 사고력, 비판적 사고력, 감성적 사고력), 지적도구활용(언어능력, 수리과학능력, 정보통신활용능력), 학습적응성(변화수용력, 지적호기심, 학습주도성) 등이 도출되었다. 도출된 지수의 구성체제에 대한 신뢰도와 타당도 또한 적합한 것으로 판명되었으며, 연구결과를 바탕으로 기존 생애학습역량과의 차별성, 생애학습역량을 바라보는 관점, 그리고 추후 연구에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.
