  • This study developed examination test tools for concepts of weather changes of middle school students, analyzed the hierarchy of concepts associated with weather changes by means of knowledge state analysis method, and examined the knowledge state and lesson effects of each individual learner. The hierarchy of the knowledge state of concepts of middle school students associated with weather changes followed the steps of 'humidity ${\rightarrow}$ air mass ${\rightarrow}$ cloud ${\rightarrow}$ precipitation ${\rightarrow}$ front ${\rightarrow}$ weather'. Cases were identified where the knowledge state of students that was thought to be similar to each other among the group of students who have scored almost the same points and thus were thought to have almost the same learning ability, have turned out different in the knowledge state from each other. Namely, the level of knowledge state structuralized differed, suggesting that differing prescriptions should be made according to the knowledge state of each student concerned. Analysis of the knowledge state of learners helps prepare learning prescriptions for each student and appraise prior learning. To examine effects of teaching-learning that has taken into consideration the hierarchy of knowledge state and concepts, lessons were conducted in comparison with the order in which syllabuses are presented in the textbooks, with the result that when knowledge state of learners have been taken into consideration, students made scores significantly higher (p < .05) than otherwise. This indicates that in introducing the unit of weather changes better teaching and learning can be achieved by reordering the contents of subject matters of the textbook by grasping the knowledge state of learners.

  • Companies' efforts to secure and sustain a competitive advantage in the market may also appear in the form of new product development. This has increased the importance of leveraging knowledge from other companies in a global competition that is accelerating with an accelerating product life cycle and the development of transportation and communications. In order to create valuable knowledge through the exchange and combination of knowledge, the absorptive capacity of the recipient of the knowledge should be considered as important, but also the knowledge protection tendency, which is characteristic of the knowledge transferor, should be considered. However, studies that considered these factors at the same time were very limited. This study examines the effect of suppliers 'absorptive capacity and buyer' s knowledge protection on new product development performance during the joint development of new products. In addition, we investigated the interaction effect between supplier's absorption capacity and buyer's knowledge protection tendency. For this purpose, data were collected for automobile industry, electronics industry and defense industry, where joint development of new products occurred frequently, and statistical verification was performed by regression analysis. The results showed that the absorptive capacity of the supplier was positively correlated with the performance of the new product development, and the buyer 's knowledge protection tendency had a negative relationship with the new product development performance. In addition, the absorptive capacity of the supplier and the buyer 's knowledge protection tendency have an interaction effect on the new product development result. These results suggest that suppliers' absorption capacity is an important factor in the joint development of new products, but suppliers with superior absorption capacity may have a negative impact on new product development performance if buyers have a negative attitude toward knowledge transfer.

  • Twitter, Facebook, and KakaoStory are the major SNS in Korea. Social knowledge production is being produced by those services from numerous collaboration and co-participation in those SNS. Wikipedia or Naver JishikIN service was regarded as the representative product of collective knowledge production during the wired internet era. However now at the wireless internet era centered with smart phones, various forms of collective knowledge production would be achieved by connecting to SNS in real-time. In this thesis, the survey data of collective knowledge production for users of three SNS have been compared and analyzed. The difference of the collective knowledge production mechanism among Twitter, Facebook and KakaoStory has been studied and compared through three variables: the motivation of collective knowledge production, the preference of collective knowledge production model, and collective knowledge production cultural perception. As a result of the analysis of the discriminant factors for three SNS user groups, it turns out that the diversity-toward usage motivation, personal contribution motivation, and collective knowledge production tendency perception are the most influential variables. This thesis is of significance in that it unites the value of social science such as social capital and collective knowledge production from the viewpoint of computer science and opens the new chapter of collective knowledge production with the real-time SNS of wireless internet from the wired internet.
