Multi-User Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MU-MIMO) technology has recently attracted significant attention from academia and industry because of it is increasingly important role in improving networks' capacity and data rate. Moreover, MU-MIMO systems for the Fifth Generation (5G) have already been researched. High Quality of Service (QoS) and efficient operations at the Medium Access Control (MAC) layer have become key requirements. In this paper, we propose a downlink MU-MIMO MAC protocol based on adaptive Channel State Information (CSI) feedback (called MMM-A) for Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). A modified CSMA/CA mechanism using new frame formats is adopted in the proposed protocol. Specifically, the CSI is exchanged between stations (STAs) in an adaptive way, and a packet selection strategy which can guarantee a fairer QoS for scenarios with differentiated traffic is also included in the MMM-A protocol. We then derive the expressions of the throughput and access delay, and analyze the performance of the protocol. It is easy to find that the MMM-A protocol outperforms the commonly used protocols in terms of the saturated throughput and access delay through simulation and analysis results.

Even though BioHashing scheme can effectively extract binary string key from analog biometrics templates, it shows lower performance in stolen-token scenario due to dependency of the token. In this paper, to overcome this limitation, we suggest a new method of generating security key from face image and user intervention. Using BioHashing and GPT schemes, our scheme can adjust dependency of PIN for user authentication and generate robust key with sufficient length. We perform various experiments to show performance of the proposed scheme.

TETRA system provides the radio authentication service which permits only authorized radio to access network. Radio authentication is the process which checks the sameness of authentication-key(K) shared between radio and authentication center by challenge-response protocol. TETRA standard authentication protocol can prevent the clone radio to copy ISSI from accessing network, but can't prevent the clone radio to copy ISSI & authentication-key. This paper analyzes authentication-key generation/delivery/infection model in TETRA authentication system and analyzes the threat of clone radio caused by authentication-key exposure. Finally we propose the new authentication protocol which prevent the clone radio to copy ISSI & authentication-key from accessing network.

We propose a new key management scheme for multiuser group which is classified as hierarchical structure (sometimes it is called a multilevel security hierarchy) in the symmetric key cryptosystem. The proposed scheme is based on the trapdoor one-way permutations which are generated by the pseudo-random permutation algorithm, and it is avaliable for multilevel hierarchical structure composed of a totally ordered set and a partially ordered set, since it has advantage for time and storage from an implemental point of view. Moreover, we obtain a performance analysis by comparing with the other scheme, and show that the proposed scheme is very efficient for computing time of key generation and memory size of key storage.

In this paper. proposes Multi_Kerberos certification mechanism that improve certification service of based on PKINIT that made public in IETF CAT Working Group. This paper proposed to a certificate other realm because search position of outside realm through DNS and apply X.509 directory certification system, to get public key from DNS server by chain (CertPath) between realms by certification and key exchange way that provide service between realms applying X.509, DS/DNS of based on PKINIT, in order to provide regional services. This paper proposed mechanism that support efficient certification service about cross realm including key management. the path generation and construction of Certificate using Validation Server, and recovery of Session Key. A Design of Multi_Kerberos system that have effects simplify of certification formality that reduce procedures on communication.
Jozef Stefan Institute (JSI), TRIGA Mark II reactor employs the homogeneous mixture of uranium and zirconium hydride fuel type. Since its upgrade, a series of fresh fuel steady state experimental benchmarks have been conducted. The benchmark results have provided data for testing computational neutronics codes which are important for reactor design and safety analysis. In this work, we investigated the JSI TRIGA Mark II reactor neutronics characteristics: the effective multiplication factor and two safety parameters, namely the control rod worth and the fuel temperature reactivity coefficient using SuperMC. The modeling and real-time cross section generation methods of SuperMC were evaluated in the investigation. The calculation analysis indicated the following: the effective multiplication factor was influenced by the different cross section data libraries; the control rod worth evaluation was better with Monte Carlo codes; the experimental fuel temperature reactivity coefficient was smaller than calculated results due to change in water temperature. All the results were in good agreement with the experimental values. Hence, SuperMC could be used for the designing and benchmarking of other TRIGA Mark II reactors.

Advances in deep learning technology have enabled the generation of more realistic deepfakes, which not only endanger individuals' identities but also exploit vulnerabilities in face recognition systems. The majority of existing deepfake detection methods have primarily focused on RGB-based analysis, offering unreliable performance in terms of detection accuracy and time. To address the issue, a grayscale-based deepfake detection method has recently been proposed. This method significantly reduces detection time while providing comparable accuracy to RGB-based methods. However, despite its significant effectiveness, the "key components" that directly affect the performance of grayscale-based deepfake detection have not been systematically analyzed. In this paper, we target three key components: RGB-to-grayscale conversion method, brightness level in grayscale, and resolution level in grayscale. To analyze their impacts on the performance of grayscale-based deepfake detection, we conducted comprehensive evaluations, including component-wise analysis and comparative analysis using real-world datasets. For each key component, we quantitatively analyzed its characteristics' performance and identified differences between them. Moreover, we successfully verified the effectiveness of an optimal combination of the key components by comparing it with existing deepfake detection methods.
Smart home is an advanced Internet of Things (IoT) service that enhances the convenience of human daily life and improves the quality of life at home. Recently, with the emergence of smart home products and services to which artificial intelligence (AI) technology is applied, interest in smart home is increasing. To gain a competitive edge in the smart home market, companies are providing "personalized service" to users, which is a key service that can promote smart home use. This study investigates the factors affecting the value awareness of personalized service and intention to use smart home. This research focuses on four-dimensional motivated innovativeness (cognitive, functional, hedonic, and social innovativeness) and privacy risk awareness as key factors that influence the value awareness of personalized service of smart home. In particular, this study conducts a comparative analysis between the generation MZ (young people in late teens to 30s), who are showing socially differentiated characteristics, and the generation X and baby boomers in 40s to 50s or older. Based on the analysis results, this study derives the distinctive characteristics of generation MZ that are different from the older generation, and provides academic and practical implications for expanding the use of smart home services.
This paper describes the effort for the development of an actual wind simulation method on the wind turbine performance evaluation. It should be emphasized that the deep knowledge on real wind field is a key factor for both the design of a wind turbine and the performance evaluation. With this reason, there had been several simulation attempts to accurately match with the actual wind data. With an existing wind generation algorithm is under consideration, this study introduces several more new concepts including Van der Hoven spectrum being implemented in different methodology. Also this paper will compare the result from the wind simulations by using the basic formula with that by using MATLAB and SIMULINK previously developed. In addition, like the existing wind generation algorithm, random process for actual wind field simulation and white noise are incorporated to closely produce the actual wind field models.

A three dimensional FE mesh generation scheme based on mapping approach is proposed in this study. A volume in Eucledian space is represented by composite hyperpatches which are piecewise cubic functions in parameters u, v, w. A key idea in the proposed approach is that I sampled grid data points lying only on the boundary surfaces are needed for the shape representation. Inner points which are necessary to form a hyperpatch are internally generated by Coons patches. This approach is most appropriate for the shapes which are compositions of hexahedronlike shapes and also severely curved.
