The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the levels of foodservice management activities and job satisfaction of the dietitians in elementary schools. Out of 130 questionnaires distributed to elementary school dietitians in Incheon, 127 were returned and analyzed ($98\%$ response rate). The questionnaire included two multiple-item scales for measuring foodservice management activities and job satisfaction, respectively. All the items in the scales were coded 1 to 5 for 'certainly no', 'no', 'neutral', 'yes', and 'certainly yes' and grouped by using factor analyses. Most of the responding dietitians were working for schools in urban areas and have independently managed on-site kitchens. The 19 items on food service management activities were grouped into 6 factors and the mean scores of the levels of Personnel Hygiene Management, Education & Training, Sanitation & Safety Management, Menu Quality Management, Service Management, and Environment Management were 4.76, 4.26, 4.24,4. 05, 3.61 and 3.39, respectively. The 23 items on job satisfaction were grouped into 4 factors and the mean scores of the satisfaction levels of Systematic Environment, Job Duty, Job Condition, and Physical Environment were 3.38, 2.83, 2.53, and 2.08, respectively. Overall, the levels of food service management activities and job satisfaction were positively associated with a correlation coefficient of 0.254 (p > 0.01). In particular, satisfaction levels on job duty itself and systematic environment were positively associated with the levels of overall management activities. The results suggest that improving dietitians' job satisfaction could increase the levels of management activities of school foodservice dietitians, resulting in quality improvement of school food service.

The questionnaire included two multiple-item scales for measuring job satisfaction and foodservice quality, respectively. All the items in the scales were coded 1 to 5 for certainly no, no, neutral, yes, and certainly yes and grouped by using factor analyses. Most of the responding dietitians were working for schools in urban areas and had independently-managed on-site kitchens. The 23 items measuring job satisfaction were grouped into 4 factors: Job Duty, Job Condition, Physical Work Environment, and Organizational Environment. The satisfaction score was the highest for Organizational Environment with a value of 3.38 and the least for Physical Work Environment with a value of 2.08. The 22 items measuring foodservice quality were grouped into 5 factors and the mean scores of the levels of Cleanliness, Internal Food quality, External Food quality, Intangible Service Environment and Tangible Service Environment were 4.20, 3.89, 3.54, 3.45 and 2.64, respectively. The levels of job satisfaction and foodservice quality were positively associated with a correlation coefficient of 0.288 (p < 0.01). In particular, the level of job satisfaction was positively associated with foodservice quality in the aspect of Cleanliness, Internal Food Quality, and Intangible Service Environment. The results show that improving dietitians' job satisfaction could contribute to increasing the levels of foodseivice quality of elementary schools.
The purpose of this study is to investigate how certain factors influence job satisfaction and turnover intention of the dietitians working at the correctional institutions. A total 47 sheets of questionnaires (complete enumeration) were distributed respectively to the dietitians during the period from March 20th to May 18th of 2008. A total of 38 questionnaires (response rate 81%) were analyzed by using SPSS (ver. 19.0). The dietitians were more satisfied with coworkers ($3.63{\pm}0.10$) and supervision ($3.19{\pm}0.13$) than with pay ($2.97{\pm}0.09$) and promotion ($2.55{\pm}0.08$). Among the job burnout dimensions, cynicism ($2.58{\pm}0.09$) was rated higher than exhaustion ($2.47{\pm}0.10$), while professional efficacy level ($3.40{\pm}0.08$) was relatively high. The work dimension of job satisfaction was negatively correlated with exhaustion and cynicism dimensions of job burnout (p < 0.001), and turnover intention (p < 0.01), but positively correlated with professional efficacy dimension (p < 0.001). The co-worker dimension was negatively correlated with exhaustion and cynicism (p < 0.05) and turnover intention (p < 0.01), while the supervision, the pay, and the promotion dimension were not correlated with the job burnout and turnover intention. The turnover intention was positively correlated with exhaustion and cynicism dimensions of job burnout (p < 0.001). A stepwise regression analysis revealed that i) professional efficacy was a factor to significantly increase the work dimension of job satisfaction, ii) exhaustion and cynicism to significantly decrease the work and the co-worker dimension of job satisfaction, respectively, and iii) exhaustion to significantly increase turnover intention. The managerial efforts of the institutions could be focused on the job burnout factors to effectively increase the work dimension and the co-worker dimension of the job satisfaction.
This study made frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 for 225 culinary employees working for super deluxe hotels in Busan and Ulsan areas in order to analyze the effects of job embeddedness on job satisfaction, career commitment and turnover intention. Results are as follows: first, as a result of testing the effects of hotel culinary employee's job embeddedness on job satisfaction, it was found that fitness, sacrifice, and links have positive (+) effects on job satisfaction. Second, it was found that fitness and sacrifice of a hotel culinary employee's job embeddedness have positive (+) effects on career commitment. Third, this study showed that fitness and sacrifice have negative (-) effects on turnover intention. Fourth, it was found that job satisfaction has a negative (-) effect on turnover intention. Fifth, it was found that career commitment has a negative (-) effect on turnover intention. These findings indicate that the higher hotel culinary employee's job embeddedness is, the less their intention to change jobs becomes by increasing job satisfaction and career commitment.

1) Background: The hospitals of modem society, like any other business entities, have to constantly strive to secure their survival from aggressive changes and competition outside. In this unstable environment, effective leadership is one of the most effective strategies for securing organization's growth as well as stability. This study investigated types of leadership (transformational or transactional) that is dominant in medical record departments and compared it's effects on organizational commitment and job satisfaction of their organizational members by types. 2) Method: A questionnaire was developed and mailed to all medical record administrators working at general hospitals throughout the country except department directors (N=450). Of these, 150 useable questionnaires were returned and analyzed by t-test, multiple regression analysis using SPSS. 3) Results: The organizational commitment and job satisfaction were a little bit higher than moderate level, and that of leadership perceived by medical record administrators was also in moderate level throughout types. Significant characteristics (positively) related to organizational commitment and job satisfaction by univariate analysis were marital status (married), position (middle management) and both type of leadership. However transformational leadership was the only significant factor in leadership styles after considering all the factors related to organizational commitment and job satisfaction together by multivariate analysis. 4) Conclusion: The average organizational commitment and job satisfaction of medical record administrators was just in moderate level. Efforts should be made to increase them by improving leadership capacity of medical record directors, primarily by using transformational leadership approach.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the importance of nurses' caring behaviors and to identify the factors influencing of nurses' caring behaviors. Methods: The participants were 404 nurses who were caring the chronically sick elderly in five H university hospitals. Data were collected through self-reported questionnaires on the importance of caring behaviors, nursing professional value and job satisfaction. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 16.0. Results: The average score for importance of nurses' caring behaviors was 3.38 and the 'professional knowledge and skill' factor was the highest level. The mean score of nursing professional value was 7.53 and job satisfaction, 3.18. Importance of nurses' caring behaviors had a significant positive correlation with nursing professional value, job satisfaction, nurse's age and work experience among demographic variables. Two significant variables influencing importance of nurses' caring behaviors were nursing professional value and job satisfaction. But characteristics of nurses did not influence. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that importance of nurses' caring behaviors can be improved by intervening factors affecting this importance. Based on the findings of this study, further nursing practice and nursing research for nurses caring the sick elderly should be focused on their nursing professional value and job satisfaction.

This study shows the necessity of internal marketing activities and the need for effective internal marketing programs for fashion shop. This research tests the hypothesized relationships between internal marketing and its determinants such as job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and customer orientation. To measure these hypotheses, a total 200 questionnaires were distributed and 185 were collected. Finally, 163 questionnaires were used for the analysis, while 22 were found invalid. The frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression were conducted after coding and cleaning by SPSS 18.0. The internal marketing activities were classified into five factors (internal communication, welfare system, empowerment, educational training program, and incentive system). The results of this study are as follow. First, internal marketing activities have a positive influence on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Second, job satisfaction has an effect on organizational commitment. Third, internal marketing activities, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment have a positive influence on customer orientation. Accordingly, it should raise the standard of customer orientation, if it is promote the job satisfaction and organizational commitment of employee through internal marketing activities such as internal communication and empowerment.
This study conducted a survey on 414 industrial organization food service workers in the Kyungnam area to find out the effect relationship of the job characteristics of organization food service workers and its effects on job commitment and job satisfaction by recognizing the need for job application through the job characteristic model, which was the beginning of the intrinsic motivation theory for the job of organization food service workers. To accomplish the purpose of this study, the method to analyze the survey was undertaken by using the SPSS 23.0 and Amos 21.0 statistic package program via a data coding process for collected data processing. We can confirm from the analysis results that there is a statistically significant causal relationship in all factors, except task identity, which is a sub factor of job characteristic. This result reaffirms the results of previous research by showing that the worker must be allowed to ensure completion of the entire job when performing the job as the job itself is not one part of the processes. Decision-making autonomy must be given in the work process when the worker performs their job in order to raise job satisfaction and furthermore to increase job commitment. The limitation of this study is that there are limits that making generalization as the study was conducted on industrial organization food service workers in the Kyungnam area as extracted samples.

This study analyzes how the organizational culture of TV home shopping companies influence the job satisfaction, commitment, and intention of turnover. It ascertains the differences the job satisfaction, commitment, and intention of turnover according to tenure of office and turnover time. The survey was conducted from May $3^{rd}$ to $31^{rt}$ in 2010, and 356 responses were used in the data analysis. The statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. As a result, the organizational culture of TV home shopping companies was classified by the innovation culture, group culture, rational culture, and hierarchical culture. The innovation culture, group culture, and hierarchical culture of TV home shopping companies influenced job satisfaction and commitment. The rational culture and hierarchical culture of TV home shopping companies influenced the intention of turnover. There were differences in the intention of turnover according to the tenure of office and the job commitment according to turnover time.
Herzberg and his associates concluded from their findings that job satisfaction consisted on two independent dimension ; the first dimension was related to job satisfaction, the second to job dissatisfaction. According to the Herzberg theory, the satisfiers are related to the nature of the work itself and the rewards that flow directly from the performance of that work. The dissatisfaction factors are associated with the individual's relation to the context or environment in which he works. The purpose of this study was to investigate selected factors which result in job satisfaction / dissatisfaction of nurses employed in general hospital. In a study of this nature, it is important that the population be as homogenous as possible in order to reduce the effects of the different environments and backgrounds on job satisfaction. A job satisfaction questionnaire developed by Slabitt et als. was used for this study. It contains 45 statements and utilizes a Likert type scale of 5. Participants were asked to select response which were congruent with their perceptions of the item. It was decided to conduct the study in one general hospital in Seoul. A sample of 505 clinical nurses were selected to participate in this study. The results of this study were as follows ; 1. The overall mean score for the 45 five-point scales of job satisfaction items was 2.945, showing that the subjects of this study were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied. 2. To identify the specific job related factors that result in Job satisfaction / dissatisfaction, the 45 items of job satisfaction were divided into 6 areas and the mean scores and % of agreement were compared. The specific job related factor that resulted in job satisfaction was the job status and those that resulted in job dissatisfaction were salaries, task requirements and organization requirements. But the areas of autonomy and interaction did not belong to either side of the specific job related factors. 3. To identify the relationship between the job satisfaction and the subject's general characteristic, data was analyzed using the t-test and the Pearson correlation coefficient. It was found that the relationship between the job satisfaction and the request for rotation and intention to remain on the job were statistically significant at .05 level, but the relationship between the job satisfaction and age, work experience, and educational background were nor statistically significant at the .05 level.
