  • DIMPEC, Direct Interactive Motion Picture Electronic Commerce technique is not only that gain additional detail information on the entry properties and actor custom by seeing and hearing VOD and TV drama with internet but also source technology which can buy product using electronic commerce.   • This paper describes a study of terrestrial digital TV transmission systems using wideband opto-electronic techniques such as electro-absorption modulators, wavelength division multiplex to support cost effective, high speed, flexible and interactive digital TV networks including ultra-high speed subscriber networks. In particular, the national DTV networks to be installed is required huge amount of cost. Therefore, the network should be carefully designed for DTV, communication and multimedia services in the future. In this paper, wideband optoelectronic DTV systems are suggested.

  • 최근 아날로그 TV는 디지털 TV로 교체되고 있는 추세이다. 이는 오디오/비디오 스트림 뿐만이 아닌 데이터를 수신기에 전송할 수 있는 디지털 TV의 장점에 기인한다. 그러나 그러한 데이터를 프로세싱 할 수 있는 규격이나 규약이 존재하지 않는다. 그래서 대부분의 회사와 개발자들은 자신들의 각각의 방식으로 그 데이터를 프로세싱 하는 방법을 택하고 있다. 이러한 규격과 규약의 부재는 많은 혼동과 시간, 비용, 인력의 낭비를 초래한다. 본 논문에서는 표준적인 측면이 아닌 방법적인 측면에서 이를 해결하고자 한다. 그 해결책은 방송 콘텐츠를 생성하고 표현하는데 XML을 이용하는 것이다. 이 해결책은 많은 인력과 비용을 절약해고, 값비싼 방송 콘텐츠의 재 사용률을 높여 줄 것이다.

  • 최근 들어 한국디지털위성방송사가 위성을 통한 디지털 방송을 통해서 양방향 서비스를 본격적으로 시작하면서 디지털 TV 가 방송통신 융합의 총아로 등장하고 있다. 그러나 방송사업자가 디지털 방송으로 전환하고 양방향 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 막대한 비용의 소요되므로 이에 대한 재원을 마련하기 위해서 방송사업자들은 양방향 서비스를 통한 수익 비즈니스 모델을 발굴하는데 고심을 하고 있다. 또한 통신사업자들은 디지털 TV 서비스 시대의 새로운 주자로 등장하면서 기존에 전통적으로 수익을 올렸던 영역에서 벗어나 방송과 통신을 융합한 새로운 영역에서 방송사업자와 경쟁하여 직접적으로 소비자들을 상대로 수익을 올리는 방법을 연구하고 있다. 따라서 양방향 TV의 비즈니스 영역이 무엇이며 그 영역 내에서 주요 부분을 차지하고 있는 T-commerce 의 가치사슬과 주요 주자들의 구성에 대해서 연구하는 것은 중요하다.

  • The article describes the concept of a Web-portal of an educational institution; the technical conditions for the creation of the Web-portal of the educational institution were determined; the features of the use of the Web-portal in the educational process and its organization are revealed. The scientific and practical value of the article lies in the fact that the use of portals in education will improve the management of an educational institution, activate and bring the educational process to the level of modern technologies at all its stages, as well as enhance the interaction of parents and students with employees of the educational institution.

  • This research explores the effect of TV news camerawork and viewers' involvement on memory of news through experiment. For this experimental research, 2 groups of subjects composed of university students were exposed to different types of TV news and responded to survey questions which were analysed by SPSS program. This research found that camerawork of TV news doesn't have an effect on short-term memory but on long-term memory. Though the fact viewers' involvement has a positive effect on shot-term and long-term memory was found, interactive effect of viewers' involvement and camerawork as an peripheral clue was not found.

  • The development of social media in the 2000s led the unspecified individuals to band together for common interests. Social networking services served as a far-reaching tool for sharing different thoughts and interpretation of the pop culture and helped people build up close relations driven by their common interests for certain works of the pop culture. This Study introduces the TV Series as a case that displays specific patterns of communication between its producer and viewers. Producer Bryan Fuller of the Series as well as key production staffs were quite active on social networking sites with the understanding of what the audience desired and the willingness to sympathize with them, which were eagerly welcomed by the dedicated audience whose number, though, was not big. For the Hannibal production team, SNS was a means for them to just be consumers who appreciate the work instead of solely being the content provider. Their approach is quite different from unilateral marketing approaches employed in the past. Through this case, the Study aims to suggest that social networking sites serve as a powerful medium connecting producers and viewers or as an information hub, and that how interactive contents shall be delivered in the new media environment to be effective.

A Study on 3D Object and GUI Representation Based on MPEG-4 BIFS for Mobile TV (MPEG-4 BIFS 기반 모바일 방송 환경에서 3D 객체 및 GUI 표현 기술 연구)

  • Despite the fact that the mobile environment has favorable conditions for using data contents, it is not easy to implement enhanced data services for mobile broadcasting based on MPEG-4 BIFS. With a structure inherited from VRML, BIFS targets different types of content with a development approach that is not very compatible with broadcasting contents. Furthermore, it is not easy to implement BIFS because the standard is too complicated for the mobile broadcasting environment. Accordingly, this study proposes an enhanced mobile TV contents model that provides interactive 3D objects and GUI for the viewers to interact with the broadcasting contents. By applying the model to the DMB environment, this study suggests a direction for future developments of mobile broadcasting contents. In order to represent 3D graphics on mobile TV, we analyzed MPEG-BIFS 3D nodes and composed a subset of VRML profile, and defined new nodes that can efficiently represent GUI at the content development level. If this study helps facilitate expression of 3D graphics and interactions in data contents composition, enhanced efficiency of contents development is expected to promote the development of various contents suitable for the mobile broadcasting environment.
