  • This study is a system that provides a suitable level of the problem, designing the learner certification simulation program based on the ITS(: Intelligent Tutoring System) based on the model and the learning expert model, the model through a buggy (Buggy Model). In the demand survey that reflects the needs of users, convenience, effectiveness, scalability, and reliability were required. In order to reflect this, various problems were developed, problem type analysis, difficulty control, student grades and level management. Users who are preparing for the certification test are expected to use the development system to solve the problems according to their own level and to solve various types of problems in a practical environment to greatly shorten the preparation period for certification.

  • Conventional studies of Computer Assisted Instruction(CAI) and Intelligent Tutoring System(ITS) have been general patterns to solve problems, so to solve specialized problems, the learner which has the attitude of passiveness should to solve problems including unnecessary processing to the need of the system. Consequently, those are not support the process of creativity and individual problems for the learner to solve the fractional number operations as this study. This study is the design and implementation of ITS on the fractional number addition and subtraction for the supplementary student. Our system can diagnosis mistakes of learning and guide the student to know their errors of learning process automatically And our system assist the learners to study with self-initiative learning, replacement their lacking of learning and control the process of fractional addition and subtraction operation with creativity according to their level. We showed that this system had improved problems of lacking care to supplementary student result in are not enough teachers involved their school and that the learner had achieved the higher learning effect according to the improved self-initiative learning causing this system.

  • The advent of e-Learning paradigm requires a various type of e-Learning models and systems which are appropriate to support effective teaching-learning process. Accordingly, the teaching-learning system using the Internet and the intelligent tutoring system(ITS) in e-Learning environment has attracted a fair amount of critical attention. However there is a wide gap between infrastructure of a present educational site and the u-learning environment. Therefore, in this paper, an ITS teaching-learning model is proposed and system is developed for a school environment, which is based on a learner's cognitive structure and applies a concept of u-Learning, and then is verified for validity. X-Neuronet, the developed system, offers a method of representing a learner's cognitive structure so as to apply the method for the efficient individualized learning.

  • 본연구는 웹 상에서 원격 협력 학습을 위한 수준별 협력 학습자 진단 및 스케줄링 에이전트의 설계와 구현에 관한 연구이다. 원격 협력 학습은 동일한 학습내용에 흥미를 갖는 아동이 동시에 학습할 수 있는 환경이 필요하며 학습자의 지식 또한 비슷한 수준이어야 효과적인 협력학습을 할 수 있다. 분산 환경의 이질적인 학습자를 모으기 위해서는 좀 더 자율적이고 지능적인 시스템이 필요하며 학습자에 대한 지식을 표현하는 학습자 모델이 요구된다. 이를 위해 에이전트 시스템이 적절하게 사용될수 있으며 학습자의 수준을 판단하기 위한 진단 에이전트와 협력학습이 가능한 여러명의 학습자들을 알맞은 시간과 서버에 연결하는 스케줄링 에이전트를 웹 기반 지능형 교수 시스템에 접목하였다. 학습자 수준을 진단하는 진단 에이전트는 확신도를 높이기 위해 3-모수 로지스틱 확신공식과 시간 가중치 확신인자 공식을 적용하여 신뢰도를 높였다 또한 협력학습의 스케줄링을 위해 다양한 제약조건들의 최적해를 구하기 위해 제약 만족 문제(CSP)로 스케줄링 에이전트를 모델링하였다 본 연구에서 설계 구현한 협력학습자 진단 및 스케줄링 에이전트의 효율성을 살펴보기 위해 여러명의 학습자를 대상으로 실험하였다. 실험을 통해 각 학습자의 지식 수준 진단과 다수의 학습자가 적절한 협력학습을 하기 위한 스케줄링이 매우 효율적으로 이루어짐을 볼 수 있었다.

  • 지능형 학습 시스템(ITS, Intelligent Tutoring System)은 학습자의 학습 스타일을 인지하여 학습자에 맞는 학습전략을 세우고 적절한 학습 서비스를 제공하는 시스템이다. 기존의 학습시스템은 학습자의 학습 스타일 보다는 학습 컨텐츠에 중심을 두어 학습자에게 맞는 학습 전략을 적절히 세우는 과정이 부족했다. 이에 본 논문에서는 학습자의 학습과정에서 발생한 데이터를 기반으로 학습자의 학습 스타일을 파악하는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 서양 건축양식 학습을 위한 교육 컨텐츠를 이용하였으며, 수집된 데이터를 분석하여 Folder & Silverman 이 제시한 학습 스타일에 근거한 학습자의 학습 스타일을 추출하였다. 실험에서는 70명의 데이터를 수집하였고, 학습자가 교육 컨텐츠를 학습한 순서에 대한 시계열 데이터를 기반으로 학습자 성향을 알아보기 위하여 은닉 마코프 모델(Hidden Markov Model)을 사용하였다. 은닉 마코프 모델을 적용하여 얻은 분석 결과를 가지고 각 학습자에게 맞는 학습 스타일을 진단하였다. 은닉 마코프 모델에서 얻은 학습 스타일 진단 모델은 향후에 학습자 학습 스타일을 파악하는데 사용할 수 있으며, ITS에 있어 학습자 성향 분석 모듈로 고려해볼 수 있다.

  • This paper presents a model for diagnosing students'learning misconceptions in the domain of heat and temperature using fuzzy cognitive maps(FCM) and fuzzy associative memory(FAM). In a model for diagnosing learning misconceptions. an FCM can represent with cause and effect between preconceptions and misconceptions that students have about scientific phenomenon. An FAM which represents a neurallike memory for memorizing causal relationships is used to diagnose causes of misconceptions in learning. This study will present a new method for more autonomous and intelligent system than a model to diagnose misconceptions that was being done with classical methods in learning and may contribute as an intelligent tutoring system for learning diagnosis within various educational contexts.

  • The traditional intelligent teachable system has mainly focused on knowledge and cognition. It has overlooked motivational aspects of learners. Motivation is an important factor in learning making learners to have interests in a given task and persist it. Although the systems include cognitive as well as motivational factors, the effects of ITS on interest are not equivalent depending on individual characteristics. This study is to investigate how influence learners' response patterns to their interests and also examined effects of individual characteristics on interest in teachable agent (TA). In this experiment, we used KORI which is a new type of ITS that learner teach computer agent based on the instructional method of learning by teaching'. In the beginning of experiments, metacognition, achievement goal orientation and self-efficacy were measured as individual characteristics. Then, participants were asked to use KORI at home during 10 days. After using KORI the level of interest were measured. The result showed that metacognition was positively related with interest, whereas performance goal orientation and mastery goal orientation were negatively related to interest. It suggests t hat different individual characteristics should be considered to promote learners' intrinsic motivation in TA.

  • 오늘날과 같이 과학기술과 정보통신 기술의 급속한 발달로 인터넷이 다르게 성장하였으며 이로 인하여 다양한 학습용 사이트가 운영되고 있다. 따라서 웹상의 교육정보가 기하급수적으로 증가되었고, 이러한 교육용 웹 자료를 컴퓨터 보조 학습 매체로 활용하고 있다. 또한 CAI(Computer Assisted Instruction), ICAI(Intelligent CAI) 나 ITS(Intelligent Tutoring System) 등을 통해 컴퓨터를 수업매체로 활용하는 방법도 많이 연구되고 있다. 하지만 현재까지 개발된 대부분의 ITS들은 CAl나 ICAI의 이론적 특징을 살릴 수 있을 만큼 진보되어있지 못한 실정이다. 특히 현행 교육과정이 지향하고 있는 수준별 교육과정에 적합하지 않고 학생들의 능력, 적성, 필요, 흥미에 대한 개인차를 고려하지 않으며, 학생 개개인의 성장 잠재력과 교육의 효율성을 극대화하지 못하고 있다. 그리고 학습자가 원하는 요구를 정확하게 파악하여 학습효과를 향상 시킬 수 있는 방법을 제공하고 있지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 학습자들의 개인차 변인을 파악하여 학습자의 요구나 능력에 맞게 학습자의 학업성취를 평가할 수 있고, 수준별 교육과정에서 학습 능력이 떨어지는 학생의 학습 결손을 예방할 수 있도록 인터페이스 모듈, 학습자 모듈, 교수전략 모듈, 전문가 모듈을 가진 자기 주도적 학습을 위한 웹 기반의 MITS(Multimedia ITS: MITS)를 설계하였으며, MITS의 각 모듈들이 효율적으로 상호작용 할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안하였다.

  • One of the major research topics in the area of the development of intelligent tutoring system(ITS)is the control of instructional mechanism consisting of lesson plans,curriculum plans,and discourse plans.This paper describes a method of building the lesson plans among these three instructional plans based on the case-based planning.It is more efficient to retrieve the lesson plan from the plan memoru than to generate it whenever an instructional goal is selected.The retrieved lesson plan may be modified to build more adaptive plan for the current goal.We have developed a lesson plan generator that has such capabilities as a component of an ITS for teching indefinite intergration.We also have devised a description language to represeint the generalized form for the given arithmetic expression as an instructional goal and a curriculum tree to represent the lesson units required to master the subject matter.The result of this research could be used either by a developer of the lesson plan generator in the other area of ITS or by human teacher as a curriculum in the actual class.

  • This study is design and implementation of diagnosis module using item response theory to assess level of student's knowledge in web-based instruction systems. Item response theory uses responses to items on a test or survey questionnaire to simultaneously locate both the items on the latent trait defined by the set of items while simultaneously scaling each item on the very same dimension. Existing method of measurement in web-based instruction system provided dichromatic learning after to be assess just with the total scores of exam. This measurement has an error that do not consider the level of student's knowledge. Moreover, this method can't perform an exact diagnosis of student knowledge and make student modeling to construct intelligent tutoring system. In this study, we present that design and implement a diagnosis module using item response theory to assess level of student's knowledge in web-based instruction systems
