통합 제조 시스템 설계 : 공정 계획과 AGV 경로 설계의 통합 접근 (Integrated Manufacturing Systems Design : Integrated Approach to Process Plan Selection and AGV Guidepath Design)

  • The manufacturing environment on which this research is focused is an FMS in which AGVs are used for material handling and each part type has one or more process plans. The research aims at developing a methodology whereby, given a part and volume mix for production during any production session, the best set of process plans including one plan per part type is selected and the best unidirectional AGV guidepath can be dynamically reconfigured in response to changes in parts and lot sizes combination. For the integrated PPS/FGD problem in which two functions of process plan selection (PPS) and flexible AGV guidepath design (FGD) are integrated, a zero-one integer programming model is developed. The integrated problem is decomposed into two subproblems, process plan selection given a directed AGV layout and AGV guidepath design with a fixed process plan per part type. A heuristic algorithm that alternately and iteratively solves these two subproblems is developed. The effectiveness of the heuristic algorithm is tested by solving various randomly generated sample problems and comparing the heuristic solutions with those obtained by an exact procedure. From the test results, the following conclusions are drawn: 1) For a reasonable size problem, the heuristic is very effective. 2) By integrating the two functions of PPS and FGD, a remarkable benefit in total production time for a given part and volume mix is gained.

GPS/INS 통합 항법 시스템용 모니터링 시스템 설계 (Monitoring System Design for the GPS/INS Integrated Navigation System)

  • We propose the monitoring system scheme for the CPS/INS integrated navigation system. The design requirements of the monitoring system are suggested and the software scheme based on GUI is proposed. The proposed monitoring system consists of an I/O interface part, a navigation data display part, and a post-processing part. The I/O interface part is responsible for data communication between the monitoring system and a navigation computer unit. The navigation data display part provides various display methods to show the navigation data to user in real-time. The post-processing part collects the navigation data to analyze the performance of navigation system. The proposed monitoring system software was developed using the Visual C++ programming language and a van test was carried out to demonstrate the real-time operation of the monitoring system. The test result shows that the proposed monitoring system can be effectively applied to the CPS/INS integrated navigation system.

STEP 을 이용한 통합제품정보모델(IPIM) 개발 (Development of Integrated Product Information Model Using STEP)

  • This research proposes an Integrated Product Information Model (IPIM) using STEP (Standard for the Exchange of product model data) for Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) of Concurrent Engineering (CE). IPIM is based on Geometry and Topology (STEP Part 42), Form Feature (STEP Part 48), and Tolerance (STEP Part 48) for representing the integrated information of mechanical parts. For the IPIM, 1) new entities are developed for integration of existing entities, and 2) the existing entities are restructured and modified for a special application protocol. In CIM or CE, the advantages of using IPIM having integrated form of geometry, feature and tolerance are 1) integration of product design, process design and manufacturing sequentially or concurrently. 2) keep the product data consistency, modified by different domain, and 3) automatic data exchange between different application software and different hardware. The prototype system is composed of CAD, Data Probe, DBMS and SDAI (Standard Data Access Interface), and the generated STEP data is stored in a step file of DBMS for other applications.

  • 제품은 하나 이상의 부품으로 구성되어 있으며, 제품을 구성하는 부품들은 같은 기능을 갖는 경우도 있다. 부품통합설계 가설에 의하면 같은 기능을 하는 부품은 하나의 부품으로 통합될 수 있다. 제품을 구성하는 부품은 하나 이상의 기능을 가지고 있는 경우가 있으며, 부품의 형상 자체가 기능이 되거나 부품의 재질이 갖는 특성이 기능이 되기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 부품이 가지고 있는 기능을 정의하는 방법을 제시하고, 제시된 방법에 의하여 확인된 부품의 기능들 중에서 동일 기능을 갖는 부품을 통합하는 방법을 제시하였다. 또한 제시된 방법을 이용하여 종이에 구멍을 뚫는 3 공 천공기를 구성하는 부품들을 통합해 보았으며 그 결과는 공리적 설계를 만족하였다.

닌히드린 용액의 저온 건조에 의한 프롤린 검출을 위한 종이기반 센서의 분해능 개선 (Improved Resolution of Paper-based Sensor for Proline Detection by Low-temperature Drying of Ninhydrin Solution)

  • In this study, we describe the improvement of the resolution of a paper-based sensor by fabricating a high-concentration ninhydrin part using a low-temperature drying method to detect proline with high resolution. In the conventional paper-based sensor for detecting proline, the ninhydrin part is fabricated at room temperature, and in this process, the ninhydrin solution spreads around the ninhydrin part. Therefore, the concentration of the ninhydrin part becomes lower than that of the applied solution, lowering the resolution of the sensor. The proposed paper-based sensor better improved the sensitivity of the sensor compared to the existing sensor by fabricating a high-concentration ninhydrin part through drying the ninhydrin solution using a low-temperature drying method. Owing to the experiment, the intensity of the green color of the paper-based sensor with the integrated ninhydrin part fabricated at 10 ℃ is approximately 20% lower than the paper-based sensor with an integrated ninhydrin part fabricated at room temperature, indicating better sensor resolution. Therefore, the paper-based sensor with an integrated ninhydrin part fabricated at a high concentration could be useful for diagnosing drought.

분리형과 일체형 리액터에 따른 매트릭스형 초전도 한류기의 외부자장 의존성 연구 (Dependence of External Magnetic Field in the Matrix-Type SFCL with the Separated or the Integrated Reactors)

  • The matrix-type superconducting fault current limiter (MSFCL) consists of the trigger and current-limiting parts. The trigger part with reactors connected in parallel improves the quenching characteristics by applying the external magnetic field into the superconducting units. The current-limiting part with superconducting units connected in parallel and shunt reactors connected in series limit the fault current when the fault occurs. We developed the integrated reactor with the trigger and the current-limiting parts to apply high external magnetic field into the superconducting units. This was composed of a superconducting unit for the trigger part and two superconducting units for the current-limiting parts. We confirmed that the external magnetic field generated in the MSFCL with an integrated reactor was larger than that of the MSFCL with the separated reactors. So the differences of voltages generated between superconducting units were decreased in the difference according to the increment of the applied voltage. The whole magnitude of the SFCL was reduced because the volume of an integrated reactor could be reduced by one-third than that of the separated reactors. We confirmed that the critical behavior between the superconducting units in the MSFCL with an integrated reactor was more improved than that of the MSFCL with the separated reactors.

  • A software platform which is able to evaluate the performances of a GPS/INS integrated system has been developed in this paper. And it consists of four parts including GUI(Graphic User Interface) part, GPS part, INS part and integrated filter part. It basically offers the loosely, tightly and deeply coupled GPS/INS algorithms, and many design parameters can be changed by users via GUI. Each functions of the platform has been confirmed with GPS signals and IMU data from commercial simulators.

An Integrated ECAD Library System for Standard Part Management in a Heterogeneous ECAD Environment

  • In this study, we propose an integrated CAD(Computer Aided Design) library database in a heterogeneous commercial ECAD(Electronic CAD) environment. To effectively solve engineering problems focused on BOM data extraction we use a software system called schematic capture and company-wide standard electronic part information loaded on different commercial ECADs. We unify many commercial ECADs into one schematic capture and a variety of PCB(Printed Circuit Board) design tools. For this purpose we develope a model for linking CAD symbol library with company-wide standard part information. We also develope a schematic design data conversion scheme and show how to extract PBA level BOM data using our customized schematic capture. This system is being operated in an X-Window based engineering work station and commercial RDBMS base.

이온 빔 이용 통합시스템의 제작 및 구조해석 (Structural Analysis and Manufacturing of the Integrated System using Ion Beam)

  • Generally, the integrated system using ion beam consists of 4 major parts, which are SEM, FIB, nano stage, and chamber. Among them, the nano stage and the chamber are designed and manufactured. The whole systems are integrated. Also, FE models are built to perform modal analyses of each part and the whole integrated system with a commercial program. Through these analyses, it is found that each part and the integrated system are very safe against vibrations including external excitations from ground and any others, because their natural frequencies are much larger than frequencies of external excitations. Also, isolation of ground induced vibration is considered.

An automatic 3D CAD model errors detection method of aircraft structural part for NC machining

  • Feature-based NC machining, which requires high quality of 3D CAD model, is widely used in machining aircraft structural part. However, there has been little research on how to automatically detect the CAD model errors. As a result, the user has to manually check the errors with great effort before NC programming. This paper proposes an automatic CAD model errors detection approach for aircraft structural part. First, the base faces are identified based on the reference directions corresponding to machining coordinate systems. Then, the CAD models are partitioned into multiple local regions based on the base faces. Finally, the CAD model error types are evaluated based on the heuristic rules. A prototype system based on CATIA has been developed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
