The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting leisure activities participation in the elderly. The factors considered were leisure opportunities, leisure motivation, leisure satisfaction and some background variables. Subjects were 291 elderly persons who completed the questionnaire assessing the variables in the study. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Leisure activities participation of the elderly was affected by leisure opportunities, leisure motivation, leisure satisfaction, gender, and education. 2) Leisure satisfaction influenced by leisure opportunities, motivation, health, and financial condition. 3) Leisure opportunities and motivation had effects on leisure activities participation indirectly via leisure satisfaction. 4) Also, status of health and financial condition of the elderly had an indirect effect on leisure activities participation via leisure motivation.

The purpose of this study was to the real situation of the safety education in the kindergarten by investigating the actual condition of the safety education and kindergarten teachers' knowledge about it. Questionnaire was adopted to obtain data required for pertinent analysis. The subjects were 234 kindergarten teachers located in Choongnam and Daejeon province. SPSSWIN v10.0 was utilized to calculate percentage, mean and standard deviation and to conduct t-test, one-way ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test. The main results of this study were as follows. There was a significant difference between the actual condition of the safety education and kindergarten teachers' knowledge about it according to demographic variables. Especially, these differences were due to teachers' academic career, age, teaching experience, and the experience of bringing up children by themselves. The importance of the safety education must be emphasized. There were urgent needs to develop the way of teaching and the program about the safety education.

The objective of this research is an investigation and analysis of life style and preference trend for dwelling for 450 university students. The major findings are as follows: (1) The life style is classified into 3 categories according to the priority of fashion and privacy, brand and social relationship, and family and domesticity. Women give priority to fashion and privacy as well as family and domesticity than men do. (2) Dwelling awareness is grouped into 3; one for pursuing the value of asset, another with the inclination to residential transition and the other for preferring for a detached house. Women have a stronger inclination to the economical value of house and prefers to live in the big city than men do. (3) As a factor affecting the dwelling preference, men give priority to the exterior condition such as environment, but women do the interior condition like the size of house. Men and Women showed various preferences for housing style such as detached house, villa, apartment and commercial complex dwelling, which is accord with the present housing style.

The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of cellulase treatment on crease resistance of cotton. Cotton fabrics was treated with cellulase under different concentration at $50^{\circ}C$ for 40 min. Also to compare the effect of DMDHEU treatment, DMDHEU treatment was conducted before and after cellulase treatment, also with cellulase. Weight loss, crease resistance and tentile strength of each samples were measured and compared. Maximum weight loss showed at 1g/l con. with 40 min. treatment. Cellulase enzyme treatment was more effective than DMDHEU in the crease resistance and tensile strength. Crease resistant of cotton which treated under different condition with cellulase and DMDHEU showed in the order of cellulase+DMDHEU> cellulase> DMDHEU treatment. Also, tensile strength showed in the order of cellulase> cellulase+DMDHEU> DMDHEU. Among those treatment conditions, condition which treated with cellulase considered more effective to increase crease resistance while keeping tensile strength too.

In this paper, We studied about effects of human safety due to leakage current on the point of cable connection for outdoor electrical facility in the submerged condition and conducted its evaluation in the testing field. In this case, the reason of leakage on the point of cable connection is caused by formation of electrical pass between the grounded outdoor electrical facility and the enclosure of electrical facility which is connected to grounding system.

The present study examined the effects of preview sentences and paragraphing in expository text on subjects' recall of the text. College students who participated in this study were randomly assigned to one of four text version groups: the no preview sentences and no paragraphing group, the no preview sentences and paragraphing group, the preview sentences and no paragraphing group, and the preview sentences and no paragraphing group. The result showed no significant effects of preview sentences and paragraphing. However, students' learning ability being considered, significant interaction effects were found. Although subjects with high learning ability recalled well regardless of whether or not passage was paragraphed, subjects with low learning ability recalled more in paragraphing condition than no paragraphing condition. The implication of these results is discussed.

The experiments reported here investigated whether seeing a speaker's face (visible speech) affects the perception and memory of Korean speech sounds. In order to exclude the possibility of top-down, knowledge-based influences on perception and memory, the experiments tested people with no knowledge of Korean. The first experiment examined whether visible speech (Auditory and Visual - AV) assists English native speakers (with no knowledge of Korean) in the detection of a syllable within a Korean speech phrase. It was found that a syllable was more likely to be detected within a phrase when the participants could see the speaker's face. The second experiment investigated whether English native speakers' judgments about the duration of a Korean phrase would be affected by visible speech. It was found that in the AV condition participant's estimates of phrase duration were highly correlated with the actual durations whereas those in the AO condition were not. The results are discussed with respect to the benefits of communication with multimodal information and future applications.

If a human is taken with a disease, the electric resistance of the diseased part is higher than the surrounding area. The inherent current of the human body does not flow well in the diseased part due to high electric resistance. In this paper, we simulated the process to calculate the exact time of electronic acupuncture suitable for patient's physical condition using fuzzy logic and inference. Moreover, In this paper, It utilizes fuzzy logic and fuzzy inference rule to estimate the proper treatment duration for each patient. Physical condition, related disease, and age effects are studied for electronic acupuncture.

This paper describes the investigation into the actual condition of electrical equipments installation and management for establishing the countermeasures against the electric shock in submerged underground. The investigation was carried out for 27 underground premises in conurbation including Seoul, and potential of the exposed electrical equipments negatively affecting on human safety when disaster occurs was measured. The objects to which measurement was carried out were as follows; electrical source; advertising lighting; power equipment. As a result, it was confirmed that potentials more than 230[V] were induced in some equipments. In addition, the electrical equipments installed in most conventional underground premises were left unmanaged.
