태극권 수련자의 뇌파와 성격 및 식습관에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Brain Waves, Personality and Dietary Behaviors of Taekukkwon Practicianers)

  • Taekukkwon was practiced far health previously. The experimental group consisted of undergraduate and graduate students practising in the above disciplines at Myong Ji University. The group consisted of three female and three male students and the aim of this research was to measure the brain wave change for opened and closed eyes. The result of this research are as follows. Firstly, when students were subjected to basic open eye brain wave tests, beta-waves displayed for all regions of the brain. In the frontal region fast beta-waves were displayed and in the central region alpha-waves were displayed. Secondly, in the closed eye brain wave tests, the control group displayed beta-waves in some regions and alpha waves in external and internal regions. For all students\` brain-wave patterns, the amplitude of the alpha-wave was low and the frequency was high. In some students theta-waves were displayed. Taekukkwon practice relaxes the mind and body and helps relieve social stress which shows that taichichuan practices is beneficial. Finally, characteristics of the subjects were mostly type A so the personalities of the subjects were fast and aggressive. This research shows a definite link between personality and personal relationships with beta-waves emissions. So, further research is required in the future to investigate this relationship. The subjects consumed too large amount of foods so it was necessary to change their dietary habits taking into consideration on total calories, fats, and protein. It was also necessary to carrying out nutrition education to the students in emphasizing appropriate attitudes in general health and dietary behavior.

패스트푸드 섭취가 청소년의 식행동 및 인성에 미치는 영향 (Interrelations Among Fast Food Intake, Food Behavior, and Personality in Adolescents)

  • Especially, the teenage period, an important lifetime to develop both physically and mentally, needs to be helpful to promote the growth of the body and to keep a well-balanced mind through a balanced and nourishing diet. It is well known that the western style fast food is the most liked meal by teenagers. Wrong recognition about fast food and its frequent intake by adolescents can lead to unbalanced diet and food behaviors which may also connect with a poor impact on their personalities as well as their physical health. In this study, therefore, relationships between fast food intake frequency and food behavior, sociability, and personality, such as anger expression, were surveyed from 1,295 adolescents (666 in Seoul, 316 in Changwon, and 313 in rural communities), and then analyzed using SPSS program. The results are shown as follows. The fast food preference score and the fast food intake frequency score showed no differences between male students (22.9/30, 14.4/30 respectively) and female students (23.0/30, 14.0/30 respectively). But, the fast food preference score correlated positively with the intake frequency score (r=0.304) significantly (p<0.001). The more frequently eating of fast food group showed significantly lower scores (r=-0.233, p<0.001) in food behaviors. The frequency of fast food intake had no relationships with sociability, but it had a significantly effect on anger expression (r=0.213, p<0.001) and control (r=-0.l47, p<0.001). From these results, we could see the necessity of various nutrition education programs to build proper eating-out habits and also more studies are needed to find the relationships between fast food intake and growth and personality.

글로벌 과학기술사회에 대비한 중등학생들의 과학적 소양 특성에 대한 인식 (Perception Survey on Characteristics of Scientific Literacy for Global Science-Technology-Society for Secondary School Students)

  • 본 연구에서는 21세기에 필요한 과학적 소양에 대한 중 고등학생들의 인식에 대하여 조사하였다. 이를 위해 서울 경기 지역 소재 중 고등학교에 재학중인 학생 952명을 대상으로, 21세기 글로벌 과학기술사회에서 중요한 과학적 소양에 대한 인식과 관련된 설문을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 학생들은 21세기 글로벌 과학기술사회에서 요구되는 과학적 소양에 대해 과학에 대한 태도(Orientation)가 가장 중요하다고 생각하는 것으로 나타났으며, 과학 관련 지식(Scientific knowledge)과 탐구와 문제해결능력(Habits of mind)이 그 다음으로 나타났다. 학생들은 여학생의 경우 다수가 과학에 대한 태도가 가장 중요하다고 응답한 반면, 남학생들은 과학에 대한 태도만큼이나 과학 지식도 중요한 요소로 꼽았다. 중 고등학생들은 21세기 글로벌 과학기술사회의 특성을 고려하여, 사회적 이슈와 관련된 과학 지식을 알고 타인과의 의사소통능력이나 협동하여 문제를 해결하는 능력, 새로운 환경에 적응하는 능력 등을 중요하게 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 과학 및 기술의 발달로 인한 부작용에 대해 아는 것도 매우 중요 하다고 생각하고 있었으며, 글로벌 시민으로서의 책임감이나 다양성에 대한 존중, 공동체 의식 등도 중요하다고 인식하고 있었다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 중 고등학생들을 대상으로 한 21세기 글로벌 과학기술사회를 위한 과학적 소양 교육에 더욱 내실화를 기할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

『전경』에 나타난 입문의례에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Entrance Rituals seen in the 『Jeon-Gyeong』)

  • The Reordering of the Universe(天地公事) pursuing the Latter world(後天)'s ideal world while denying the Former world(先天) is composed of enormous rituals. The Dosu(度數) is formed through these rituals and the world is transformed according to the Dosu. The people who follow the Sangje(上帝), the subject of this universe reordering and also participate in the Reordering of the Universe are called as the followers. The follower group can be said as a ritual group in the aspect that they participate in the ritual for the Reordering of the Universe. They not only observed the rituals but also actively participated in them, so took certain roles in forming the Dosu. That is, they performed certain, given roles in developing the rituals, or actively proposed their ideas under the Sangje's leadership, and participated in the process realizing the Dosu. Therefore it can be said that they were a group initiatively participating in the process overcoming the Former world's Sangguk(相克) world, and making the latter world's ideal world. It seemed that the followers at that time might have gone through a certain entrance ritual process in order to join in such a follower group. The 『Jeon-Gyeong』 recorded the entrance rituals of a man called as Cha Gyeong Seok among tremendous followers relatively in detail. According to the 『Jeon-Gyeong』, he first had to get a unique test in the entrance process, and the test was proceeded in several stages: the wisdom test reflecting the Sangje's unusual intelligence, the patience test to endure physical, psychological pains for the great ethic, and the test to evaluate the testee's ability to give up past oneself and to follow the Sangje with a new body & mind. In the process separating himself from the past his appearance, Gyeong-Seok, the candidate to enter, faced a liminal situation, and then performed the incorporation rite. In this process, the purification rite going him out of the past relationship of benefits & grudges was performed, and he was given the regulations to comply as a member of the follower group. Through such serial processes, his entrance in the follower group was allowed. What requested to the candidate in this entrance process was the severance from one's past. For that, the candidate was needed to go out of his past life habits, to free from the relationship of benefits and grudges, and to sever him from his past faults. Such severance was the precondition for him to go out of the Former world's negative reality and to break from the Sanggeuk habits. Another thing requesting to the candidate as well as the severance from his past was to establish a new ideal. The new ideal should be matched with the ideal of the Reordering of the Universe whose main ideology was the Haewon-Sangsaeng(解冤相生). Such ideal can be said as the driving force to proceed toward the new ideal world of Latter World. And the candidate was requested to purify his mind and to participate in the Universe Fair Judgement (天地公庭). That can be said as an important condition for the new member directly to participate in the ritual of the Reordering of the Universe dramatically transforming the world. Finally, the candidate was given the regulations for his ascetic practice(修道) as well as his participation in the Reordering, and was requested to comply them. After becoming a member of this follower group, one had to practice his asceticism through the compliance with such regulations and the training of mantras(呪文) in order to accomplish the goal called as Dotong(道通). By fulfilling these requirements, the newly entered member could have the qualification to perform a certain role in the ritual of the Reordering of the Universe, and could accomplish his religious ideal.

도시 남자노인의 건강과 식품에 대한 인식 및 식습관 조사 -탑골공원 노인을 대상으로- (A Survey on the Health, Food Perceptions, and Food Habits of Urban Elderly Men -With Special Reference to Elderly Men in the Tap-gol Park-)

  • 서울 종로구 소재 탑골공원에 모여 있는 남자 노인을 대상으로 식사에 대한 일반적인 사항, 건강 및 균형된 식사의 유무를 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 조사 대상자의 연령은 70대가 가장 많았으며 학력은 초등 학교 졸업, 전직업으로는 노동 및 농부가 대부분이었다. 아들과 함께 사는 남자 노인이 56.1%였으나 노인 부부 가구 27.3% 및 독신가구 9.1%를 보여 남자 노인 부부 및 독신 가구의 비율이 매우 높았다. 한달 용돈으로 5만원 이하를 사용하는 노인이 가장 많았다. 2. 남자 노인의 41.5%가 불규칙적인 식사를 하였고 이 가운데 대부분이 먹을 것이 없거나 돈이 없어서 점심을 굶는 비율이 높았다. 노인의 식사 준비는 며느리, 부인, 본인, 딸, 복지시설의 순서로 하였으며 식사 준비시 부인이 남자 노인의 식성을 가장 많이 고려하였고, 며느리와 복지시설이 가장 고려하지 않았다(p<.05). 남자노인의 식사 횟수는 함께 식사하는 사람에 따라 유의적 차이(p<.01)를 보여 동거하는 가족과 함께 식사를 할 경우 하루 3회 규칙적인 식사를 하였으나, 독신가구를 형성하고 있는 노인의 식사는 매우 불규칙하였다. 3. 완전의치 및 무치 노인이 32.4%를 차지하여 남자노인의 치아상태가 매우 좋지않았으며 이들은 저작 장애를 보였으나 자연치 노인의 대부분은 식사시 문제가 없었다(p<.05). 노인의 만성질병은 관절염, 소화불량, 고혈압이 비교적 많았고 변비, 당뇨병, 심장병 등도 있었다. 질병에 대한 식이요법보다는 치료약을 복용하는 사람이 더 많았으며 식이요법을 하지 않는 주된 이유는 '먹고 싶은 것을 먹는 것이 더 좋다', '식습관의 변화가 어려워'로 나타났다. 조사 대상자들의 건강보조식품의 섭취 빈도는 매우 낮았으며 다섯 가지 기초식품군에 해당하는 식품들이 건강에 좋은 영향을 미친다고 하였으며, 건강유지를 위하여 즐거운 마음으로 균형된 식사를 하고 운동을 하는 것이 바람직하다고 하였다. 4. 조사대상자의 식습관은 보통수준으로 판정되었으며, 양로원과 같은 복지기관에서 생활하는 노인의 식습관이 가장 좋았고 딸이 식사준비를 할 때 낮았으며(p<.05), 노인의 식성을 고려하여 식사준비를 할 때 높았고 식성이 고려되지 않을 경우 낮았다(p<.001). 스스로 건강하다고 생각하는 남자 노인일수록 식습관 점수가 높았다(p<.001). 5. 아침 식사를 규칙적으로 하는 노인이 77.5%였으며 식사시 식품의 배합을 고려하거나 규칙적으로 녹황색 채소 및 과일을 섭취하는 조사 대상자는 매우 드물었으며 고기·생선·계란 및 콩 등의 단백질 식품, 우유, 과일, 해조류식품이 건강에 유익하다고 알고 있으나 실제 섭취 빈도는 낮았으며, 특히 우유의 섭취가 매우 저조하였다(p<.01). 이상과 같은 결과로 탑골공원에 모여 소일하는 남자노인이 비교적 건강하였고 식습관이 보통 수준이었음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 노인 혼자 식사할수록 불규칙한 식사를 하였고 식습관이 좋지 않았다. 대체적으로 결식 특히 점심결식 비율이 다소 높았는데 그 이유는 식욕이 없거나 경제적인 여유가 없어서로 나타났다. 이러한 문제점들을 개선하기 위하여 우리 나라에서도 미국의 'Lunch program'과 같은 노인 영양프로그램을 개발하여 식사의 동기유발을 불러일으키고 최소한 하루의 한끼는 저가의 균형잡힌 식사를 할 수 있는 제도를 만들어야 하겠다.

농촌지역 노인에 대한 보건의료서비스 개발을 위한 연구 (A Study on Development of Health Care Service for the Elderly - Focus on Rural Community -)

  • The objectives of this study are : 1) To understand self-care ability, living habits, utilization patterns of medical facililties for the elderly in Puk-Cheju county which has the highest percent age of senior citizens among Cheju rural community: 2) To identify factors which influence living quality and long life for the eldely 3) To develop health care service with a view to guaranteering living quality The eldely population of Puk-Cheju county was $10.8\%$ in 1995. It will be increasing and is projeted $23.0\%$ by 2030. The result indicated that utilizations rate by out-patient were 5.89 claims and utilizations rate by in-patient were 0.17 claims per person. The highest disease among respondents were disease of musculoskeletal system and connective tissue. A total of 310 elderlys were responded to analyze self-care ability and health behavior. The most important factors of long life were to have peaceful mind$(50.0\%)$. The common disease of acute and chronic disease was musculoskeletal system disease. $66.8\%$ of respondents went to hospital and local clinic when they got sick. The most needed health care service was home visiting service among public health center, representing $31.4\%$. The repondent's self-care ability and self-efficacy were relatively superiority. A total of 92 elderlys were conducted the intelligence test for the rate of dementia and their average age was 74.3. The result of Minimental State Scale indicated that 25% of respondents were suspected to be dementia. The followings are recommendations based on the survey result. 1) Concidering every conditions of self-care ability and health status for elderly. It is important to embody appopriate health care service. 2) Considering concrete method, it is necessary to establish health service, which match health status and self-care ability, and various planning for sepecial facilities for the elderly. 3) It is desiable to make actual programs for the elderly in each community level. 4) It must be develop the better use of volunteers and programs for prevention of dementia. Finally, Concerning the orgarnization of public health center, community health center need to be reorganized for health service for the elderly. It is important to develop and operate health promotion for the elderly, and it is necessary to form the foundation for the support of facilities equipments. This contribute to promote health status for the rural elderly.

지역교회간호(Parish Nursing) - 일차건강간호를 위한 새로운 도약 (Parish Nursing : A New Challenge for Primary Health Care)

  • ursing as a profession is characterized by its holistic, mind-body-spirit approach to the patient. Also, nurses have historically been the leaders in health education and promotion. Parish nursing has a great potential for providing primary preventive health care. services as well as assisting people to access the health care system. While working in the community, parish nurses see the church as the new arena for delivering health care services. The parish nurse program was introduced by Granger Westberg in 1984. The concept of parish nursing is based on several beliefs; health is multidimensional and affects all aspects of an individual-physical, psychological, social, and spiritaul being. Parish nursing is one model in which churches can cooperatively work with health care institutions to address the needs of their parishioners. The role of the parish nurse is emphasized in four basic area: a) health education, b) health counseling, c) referal services, and d) facilitation and organization of support groups within the congregation. The parish nurse programs work chiefly in congregation or commuity where a certain language of faith is ready at hand. This means that the parish nurse works in an ecology of meanings and care which encourages the drawing on the message of God's grace, the practices and habits it encourages. The parish nurse may be involved in the church's health ministries and may work on either paid or volunteer basis; however, one of the most important qualification of the parish nurse is to have the nursing knowledge and skills to practice within the standards of Nursing Practice Act. The completion of standards of practice for professional nurses practicing as parish nurses had been identified as a priority by the HMA Executive Board (1996, HMA). In conclusion, parish nursing promotes health and healing by empowering the faith community, family, or individual to incorporate health and healing practices. There are several preconditions that should proceed to establish the foundation for successful development of the parish nursing program in Korea. First, reciprocal relationship with home health nursing should be considered. Second, correct terms and concepts of parish nursing should be studied and understood. Third, systematic study and investigation should be followed for further development of parish nursing. Fourth, strengths and weaknesses of different models should be studied to develop proper model of parish nursing for Korean situation. Finally, consensus of standardized education program and corporation with various religious communities as well as health institutions should be established. When these preconditions are met, the role of parish nursing as a new program for the promotion of holistic health will be established.

초등학교 고학년의 올바른 식생활 교육을 위한 활동중심의 영양교육 교재 및 영양교사용 지침서 개발 (Development of Nutrition Education Textbook and Teaching Manual in Elementary School)

  • Health is easily overlooked because it doesn’t be changed good or bad due to sudden effort or indifference unexpectedly but kept in daily life. Especially, schoolchildren period, an important lifetime to develop both physically and mentally needs to be helpful to promote the growth of the body and keep well-balanced mind through balanced and nourishing diet. The purpose of this study was to develop nutrition education contents for discretional activities in elementary school. The present educational contents about food and nutrition was analysed in the curriculum of elementary school. The results showed the Korean language(20.8%) included an highest ratio in educational contents about food and nutrition, the next was the courses of physical education and wise life(18.1%, each). As the educational contents about food and nutrition in the textbook were dealt with food information (20.8%), Health․Disease(15.3%), and correct dietary habits by order. We could found more contents in the text for the higher classes than for the lower classes. But the most of the contents appeared lack of structure, profundity and continuity for the systematic nutrition education in its entirety. The developed nutrition education contents for discretional activities in this study consist of korean dinning cultures and foreign dinning cultures, correct dinning etiquette, how to choose healthy food, personal sanitary and health, nutrients and food tower, and problem for children’s nutrition as main subject. This six main subjects were composed of 23 subtitles. The teaching manual consisted of the educational goal, background, teaching plan and effect-evaluation plan, and the notice point for the effective lesson. The teaching plan was made for 30 hours and consisted of cooking course, singing/making lyrics, games in nutrition, debate on dietary habit, and role play etc which are oriented to practical learning. We intended to develop this program that attempts to improve in dietary habit of schoolchildren. It is because once formed an adults dietary habit is difficult to change. Schoolchildren’s period is the best adjustable stage. Therefore, nutrition education in elementary stage can change to dietary habit and build the awareness of health.

  • 1. 정부시책(政府是策)이 크게 반영(反映)된듯 혼식(混食)과 분식(粉食)이 비교적(比較的) 잘 여행(勵行)되고는 있으나 보다 낳은 혼분식(混粉食)에 대(對)한 과학적(科學的) 의의(意義)를 철저(撤底)히 체득(體得)시켜 농가(農家)에서는 물론(勿論)이요 전체국민(全體國民)이 일치 단결(一致 團結)하여 식생활개선(食生活改善)에 앞장서도록 하는 것이 바람직하다. 이것은 곳 미식편중(米食偏重)에서 탈피(脫皮)하는 방법(方法)이요 진일보(進一步)하여 국민보건향상(國民保健向上)과 소득증대사업(所得增大事業)도 자연적(自然的)으로 이룩하게 될 지름길로도 될 수 있다고 생각되기에 더욱 강조(强調)코저 한다. 2. 체력증진(體力增進)과 두뇌(頭腦)의 개발(開發)을 위(爲)한 동물성단백(動物性蛋白)의 섭취(攝取)는 가능(可能)하면 저렴(低廉)한 식물성(두류)(植物性(豆類)) 단백(蛋白)으로 대치(代置)하고 설령물성(設令物性) 단백(蛋白)을 섭취(攝取)할 경우(境遇)라도 모쪼록이면 자가생산(축산물)품(自家生産(畜産物)品)에 의존(依存)함이 유익(有益)할 것이며 애매(曖昧)하게 근거(根據)도 없이 전통의식(傳統意識)에 사로잡인 금기식(禁忌食) 따위는 빨리 이 사회(社會)에서 버려서야 할 것이다. 3. 황구식(荒救食)으로 춘궁기(春窮期)의 생활난(生活難)을 극복(克服)한다는 것은 다행(多幸)한 일이로되 식품오염(食品汚染) 등(等) 세심(細心)한 주의(注意)와 보다 좋은 연구(硏究)가 필요(必要)하고 비농(非農)이나 영세농(零細農)일지라도 잡곡(雜穀)만은 유휴지(遊休地)나 휴경지(休耕地)를 이용(利用)하여 자급자족(自給自足)할 수 있는 방향(方向) 으로 농민(農民) 상호간(相互間)의 협조(協助)가 요망(要望)된다. 4. 식성(食性)이 좋아서 대체적(大體的)으로 무었이든지 잘 먹을수 있는 처지(處地)인데 경제적(經濟的)인 면(面)에서 여의(如意)치 않고 농번기(農繁期)에는 일반적(一般的)으로 아침 저녁에만 더운밥을 먹으며 중식(中食)은 냉반(冷飯)으로써 시간(時間)과 연료(燃料)의 절약(節約)을 꾀하는듯 하다. 결론적(結論的)으로 아직도 농촌(農村)에서는 전통의식(傳統意識)에서 탈피(脫皮)치 못하고 미신(迷信)에 젖어 있으며, 백미편식경향(白米偏食傾向)이 짙고 연중(年中) 혼분식(混粉食)을 계속(繼續)하지 못하고 아쉬움이 간절하다. 이런 점(點)이 하루빨리 시정(是定)될때 우리는 건강(健康)과 지능(知能)이 향상(向上)을 초래(招來)하고 소득증대(所得增大)를 도모(圖謀)하며, 자조자립(自助自立)할 수 있는 국민생활(國民生活)로 변모(變貌)할 수 있을 것이라 믿는다.
