How to efficiently manage assembly blocks at shipyard has been a hot management issue in the shipbuilding Industry, because it has significantly influenced on the productivity of shipbuilding process. This paper introduces the real practice of assembly block operations management in Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and the Ship Assembly Block Operations Optimization (SABOO) project that h3s been launched in HHI as an academy-and-industry collaborative project, aimed to diagnose problems, propose possible solutions, and develop a prototype system in order to search ways of improving the assembly block operations management. Through the field interviews, observations, and benchmarking studies, the SABOO project diagnosed the most rudimental and urgent problem and proposed possible solutions. In addition, the SABOO project developed the prototype system that embodied the visual function of monitoring the shipyard on a real-time and the Interactive block assignment function that utilized the assembly block assignment algorithm developed by the project. As a whole, the SABOO project tested the possibility and gained an insight in extending the functions of block transportation/stockyard management system.

The market of platform business is typically served by a few dominant players, presenting "winner-takes-all" phenomenon. This study aims to find service characteristics leading to the phenomenon. Six different service-characteristics were considered : Same-side network effect, cross-side network effects, entry barrier, multi-homing cost, switching cost, and heterogeneity of preference. To assess the degree of concentration of market share, HHI (Herfindahl-Hirschman Index) is calculated for top three major players. Based on the HHI value, 10 most eminent platform businesses are classified into three different segments and each segment is characterized with key factors. The results from this study provide some insight into the strategic management of platform business.

This paper describes current work regarding two EC funded projects, MUTED and HELIUM3D whose objective is to produce an autostereoscopic display system which is well suited to domestic television applications. Both of these projects have common roots in a previous EC funded project (ATTEST) and both employ laser illumination and viewer head tracking.

In this paper, impedance of the chiller foundation for ships is studied by using FEM and prediction is compared to measurements. Small and medium weight hammer are used to cover high and low frequency ranges in impedance measurements. Comparison shows that measurement and prediction is in good agreement in which coherence is higher than 0.98 for the frequency ranges of 40-50 Hz to 1600 -2000 Hz.

The power system automation, especially the substation automation is a major issue. so it has been widely studied each country in the world. Since the substation system includes lots of measuring devices. a lot of data and system information are transmitted to operators. The measured values usually have the error that results from the communication process, and it can degrade the reliability of estimated values. So. the detection and correction of measured values at a substation are important factors for substation automation. In this paper, we study the detection and col of measured values at the domestic 154kV/2 distribution substation of double bus structure study will be useful for expected economic dispatch measuring device's inspection and corr management by SCADA system operation, substation automation.

The purpose of this paper is pulsation-analysis of the swash plate type axial piston pump for excavator and the method of side branch hose application, which is used normally in construction equipments. In this paper, draw the mathematical modeling for pressure pulsation mechanism of the swash plate type axial piston pump for excavator, expression the flow pulsation in the pipelines by transfer matrix method, programmed simulation for pulsation by AMEsim software, and the reliability of that was verified by the comparison with the experimental results.

End of July. 2002 Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. Offshore Division is successfully completed Load-out & Float-off work of "AMENAM KPONO/FSO Project" similar to 300K VLCC size. The AMENAM FSO hull and topside module built at the HHI Offshore yard using "On-Ground Building Method" developed by HHI. Various methodologies/techniques like Flexi-built FPSO Hull. Topside module erection method. Load-out Float-off methodology etc. are combined to develop a successful on-ground building method. In this paper, we described the "Hull Structural Strength Analysis Methodology" using 3-D Finite Element Analysis and results. This analysis is performed to verily the structural integrity or the AMENAM FSO hull during the main load-out on two semi-submersible barges combined together.

Recently, unusual transformer failures have been reported in 25kV power systems connected with a VCB and transformer. In this study, performance of the protection system, dielectric strength of the transformers, characteristics of switching surges and resonance phenomena were analysed and assessed. All investigations regarding the insulation breakdown of the transformers were carried out by simulations, laboratory tests, factory tests and on-site measurements in order to thoroughly investigate the root causes. Furthermore, experimental methods for investigating the resonance phenomenon were derived and tests were conducted applying the derived method to recreate the phenomenon in the transformer. It is found that resonance between the transformer and switching surge generated by closing a VCB can initiate the breakdown of internal windings of a transformer.

본 연구는 베트남 포워딩 시스템 발전 과정에서 집중화 및 탈 집중화 현상을 분석하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 한다. 연구의 방법은 허핀달-허쉬만 분석(집중도 분석), 전이할당 분석, 로렌츠 곡선 및 지니계수 분석을 활용하였다. 연구의 결과를 요약하면 첫째, 집중도 분석결과 2009년 0.117에서 2019년 0.083의 결과를 보이며 탈 집중화 경향을 나타냈다. 둘째, 전이할당 분석 결과 Transimex가 백만 VND 1,906,515의 전이효과를 나타냈으며, 분석기간 평균 백만 VND 2,158,232를 획득한 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 지니계수 분석 결과 2008-2018 기간 동안 0.468에서 0.393으로 떨어지며 베트남 포워딩 시장의 탈 집중화 경향을 나타냈으며, 이러한 현상은 로렌츠 곡선에서도 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하면 분석기간인 2008-2018 사이에 전반적인 탈 집중화 현상이 관측된다. 본 연구의 결과는 이해관계자에게 접근이 쉽지 않았던 베트남 포워더에 관련된 자료를 제공한다.

중국 경제의 빠른 발전과 더불어 운송 서비스의 가장 중요한 역할을 하는 항공산업은 상당한 발전을 이루고 있다. 이러한 성장에도 불구하고 중국 항공산업에서 상위 항공사만을 대상으로 발전과정을 연구한 논문은 제한적이다. 이러한 측면에서 본 연구에서는 2009년에서 2018년 기간 동안 중국 상위 20위 항공사의 종단적 발전상황에 대한 실증적 연구를 수행하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 하였다. 연구의 방법은 집중도 분석, 허핀달-허쉬만 분석, 지니계수 분석, 전이할당 분석을 활용하였으며, 분석 자료는 물동량 및 여객수를 활용하였다. 집중도 분석, 허핀달-허쉬만 분석 및 지니계수 분석결과, 중국항공사는 탈 집중화 현상을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 절대성장치 분석결과 중국 항공산업은 여객측면에서는 상위 4개의 항공사가 선점하고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 향후연구에서는 여객 및 화물운송의 틈새시장을 찾는 성장전략 모색이 필요하다.
