Low Flow Frequency Analysis of Steamflows Simulated from the Stochastically Generated Daily Rainfal Series (일 강우량의 모의 발생을 통한 갈수유량 계열의 산정 및 빈도분석)

  • In this study, one of the techniques on the extension of low flow series has been developed, in which the daily streamflows were simulated by the Tank model with the input of extended daily rainfall series which were stochastically generated by the Markov chain model. The annual lowest flow serried for each of the given durations were formulated form the simulated daily streamflow sequences. The frequency of the estimated annual lowest flow series was analyzed. The distribution types to be used for the frequency analysis were two-parameter and three-parameter log-normal distribution, two-parameter and three-parameter Gamma distribution, three-parameter log-Gamma distribution, Gumbel distribution, and Weibull distribution, of which parameters were estimated by the moment method and the maximum likelihood method. The goodness-of-fit test for probability distribution is evaluated by the Kolmogorov-Sminrov test. The fitted distribution function for each duration series is applied to frequency analysis for developing duration-low flow-frequency curves at Yongdam Dam station. It was shown that the purposed technique in this study is available to generate the daily streamflow series with fair accuracy and useful to determine the probabilistic low flow in the watersheds having the poor historic records of low flow series.

  • In case of dismantling of nuclear power generation facility or radiation accident, the accurate information of gammaray source is essential for rapid decontamination. In order to more efficiently represent the position of the gamma ray to be removed, we create a spatial domain based on the real image. And we can perform decontamination of gamma-ray source more quickly by expressing the distribution of radiation source. The developed gamma ray imaging device overlaps with the visible image after gamma - ray detection and provides only two - dimensional image, but it does not show the distance information to the source. In this paper, we have developed a operation environment using the 3D visualization model for reporting effective decontamination operation.

  • This paper presents a method to estimate a storage life for loss of stabilizer content as storage periods using accelerated life test data. The estimate of storage life based on deterministic accelerated life test and degradation data cannot describe a condition distribution and storage life distribution. Previously, the method to show the condition distribution and storage life distribution by using gamma process has been studied. But it has limitation because it is impossible to collect the deterioration data at initial production phase. The estimated storage life presented by this study shows the similar value to previous studies and the method can describe the condition distribution and storage life distribution. So, the estimation method studied in this paper can be used for a life cycle management about deterioration of propellant for propulsion unit or components of missile, too.

A Study on Scattering Distribution in Metal of Ir-192 Gamma-Ray (Ir-192 $\gamma$선(線)의 금속(金屬)에 대(對)한 산란분포(散亂分布)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • The metal-plates(Aluminium. Copper, Lead) of change the variation thickness have been penetrated by the collimated beam($450mm{\times}4mm{\phi}$) of Gamma-ray from $^{192}Ir$. Then, the scattered $\gamma$-ray dose in variable angle and the directly transmitted $\gamma$-ray dose were measured using the electrometer of ionization chamber. The results were summarized as follows: 1. Obtained the mass attenuation coefficients of $Al;0.0937cm^2g^{-1},\;Cu;0.0937cm^2g^{-1},\;pb;0.244cm^2g^{-1}$. 2. Total intensity of front scattered $\gamma$-ray follow the order of Al>Cu>pb. 3. The scattered $\gamma$-ray intensity with the lager angle of scattering was saturated after increase rapidly, and the scattering angle of the more larger was decreased. 4. The scattered $\gamma$-ray intensity through plates of aluminium or copper was saturated after increase with thicker scatterer, and the intensity was decreased at the more thicker. But the variation of scattered $\gamma$-ray dose in the lead plate made the fewest than Al and Cu. 5. The ratio of the scattered $\gamma$-ray dose and the directly transmitted $\gamma$-ray dose was saturated after increase with the thicker scatterer, and the scatterer of the more thicker was decreased. Degree of total intensity in these ratios was followed the order of Cu>Al>Pb.

  • Recently, the control chart is developed for monitoring processes with normal short production runs by the coefficient of variation(CV) characteristic for a normal distribution. This control chart does not work well in non-normal short production runs. And most of industrial processes are known to follow the non-normal distribution. Therefore, the control chart is required to be developed for monitoring the processes with non-normal short production runs by the CV characteristics for a non-normal distribution. In this paper, we suggest the control chart for monitoring the processes with a gamma short runs by the CV characteristics for a gamma distribution. This control chart is denoted by the gamma CV control chart. Futhermore evaluated the performance of the gamma CV control chart by average run length(ARL).

  • This paper is a brief review of the different procedures that are available for fitting theoretical distributions to data. The use of each technique Is illustrated by reference to a distribution system which including the Pearson, Johnson and Burr functions. These functions can be used to calculate percent out of specification. Therefore, in this paper a new method for estimating a measure of process capability for Gamma distributed variable data proposed using the percentage nonconforming. Process capability indices combines with the percentage nonconforming Information can be used to evaluate more accurately process capability.

  • The IR-UWB radar system radiates a pulse whose width is several hundred pico sec at Tx antenna and check the time to receive the pulse that reflected from target to measure the TOA. In this paper, we present a new algorithm which supplement the conventional ranging algorithm for more accurate estimation. We get received signal data using IR-UWB Radar module which equipped a NVA6000 UWB Transceiver and analysis the data of multi-path. Consequently, we found the property of UWB multi-path signal, which best fit a Gamma distribution. so we present a algorithm using Gamma-distribution and compared a performance with conventional ranging algorithm.

  • Gamma generalized linear models are useful for non-negative and skewed responses. However, these models have received less attention than Poisson and binomial generalized linear models. In particular, hypothesis testing for the significance of regression coefficients has not been thoroughly studied. In this paper we assess the performance of various test statistics for gamma generalized linear models based on numerical studies. Our results show that the likelihood ratio test and F-type test are generally recommended and that the partial deviance test should be avoided in practice.

An Indirect Approach Determining Parameters of Clark's Model Based on Model Fitting to the Gamma Distribution function (Gamma분포형 함수 적합을 이용한 Clark 모형의 매개변수 간접추정)

  • An indirect or supplementary approach is proposed for determining the parameters of the Clark's model in order to improve existing defect in estimating the parameters. The gamma-distribution type function is employed to represent the Clark's model, which takes the same form as the Nash's model, so that parameter estimation is not difficult since it can be performed with a simple optimization process. Analytic forms of Clark's models parameters are introduced using parameters of the proposed methodology to give traditional form of Clark's. An application to a watershed has shown that the proposed approach can preserve the properties of observed data. Based the application, the new approach is recommended as an alternative to the existing parameter estimating methodology.

  • AC PDP에서 유전체 보호막으로 사용되는 MgO 박막은 높은 이차전자방출계수($\gamma$)로 인해 방전전압을 낮춰주는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 이러한 MgO 보호막의 이차전자방출계수를 증가시키기 위해 MgO 의 Energy Band Structure 규명이 중요한 연구 주제가 되고 있다. MgO의 이차전자방출계수($\gamma$)는 Auger 중화 이론에 의해 방출 메커니즘이 설명이 되고, 그 원리는 다음과 같다. 고유의 이온화 에너지를 가진 이온이 MgO 표면에 입사 되면, Tunneling Effect에 의해 전자와 이온 사이에 중화가 일어나고, 중화가 되고 남은 에너지가 MgO Valance Band 내의 전자에게 전달되면 이때 남은 에너지(${\Delta}E$)가 MgO의 일함수(Work function) 보다 크게 되면 이차전자로 방출된다. 본 실험 에서는 $\gamma$-FIB System을 이용하여 결정 방향이 (100), (110), (111)을 갖는 Single Crystal MgO에 이온화 에너지가 24.58eV인 He Ion source를 주사 하였을 때 Auger self-convolution을 통해 이차전자의 운동 에너지 분포를 구하고, 이를 통해 MgO 내의 Energy Band Structure를 실험적으로 측정하였다. 이를 통해 MgO Single Crystal의 일함수 및 Defect Level의 분포를 확인하였다.
