  • The geometry field in the current high school curriculum deals mainly with analytic geometry and the reference to logic geometry leaves much to be desired. This study investigated the construction on a heptagon by using conic sections as one of measures for achieving harmony between analytic geometry and logic geometry in the high school curriculum with the Geometer's Sketchpad(GSP), which is a specialized software prevalent in mathematics education field and is intended to draw an educational suggestion on it.

  • 본 연구는 영재 교수 학습 과정에서 초동영재학생들에게 자기주도적 발견식 탐구식 학습을 실시하여 학습의 효과를 높이고, 수학적 원리와 수학의 심미성을 갖는 창의적인 산출물을 생산해 낼 수 있는 교수 학습 모형을 개발하고, 개발한 모형으로 수업을 진행한 후 나타난 특징에 대하여 탐구하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 개발된 영재 교수 학습 모형은 초등수학 영재학생들에게 자료를 통찰하는 능력과 분석적 연역적 추론 능력과 같은 수학적 창의성을 발현하게 한다. 둘째, GSP를 활용한 원형 디자인은 초등수학 영재학생들에게 수학적 패턴을 시각적으로 표현함으로써 추상화된 규칙을 인식하는데 도움을 준다. 셋째, 자연수의 연산을 활용한 원형 디자인은 초등수학 영재학생들의 수학에 대한 심미성과 창의성을 발현하는데 긍정적인 영향을 준다.

  • 중학교 기하영역 중 피타고라스의 정리를 논증적인 증명 대신에 역동적인 방법으로 이해할 수 있도록 GSP(Geometer's Skechpad)를 활용하여 구현했으며, 멀티미디어 환경에 익숙한 중학생들에게 시 ${\cdot}$ 공간을 초월하여 웹 상에서 개별학습, 반복학습을 할 수 있도록 JAVA 언어를 사용하여 웹으로 변환시켰다.

  • 멀티미디어 환경에 익숙한 중 ${\cdot}$ 고등학생들에게 친숙하고 손쉽게 기하도형을 공부할 수 있는 교육환경으로 제공하기 위한 방법을 제시하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 정다면체(4, 6, 8, 12, 20면체)의 접기와 펼치기를 GSP(Geometer's Skechpad)로 구현한 후에 JAVA 언어를 사용하여 웹으로 변환시켰다.

  • In this paper, we demonstrate the Pythagorean Theorem by using the computer geometric software, Geometer's Skechpad(GSP) in stead of Eucliean logical proof. Also, we show that two applications of Pythagorean Theorem. The one is constructed by the fact that $ka^2+kb^2=kc^2$, where k is a constant, the other is made by the fractal.

  • The development of computer software accelerates the change of teaching-learning method in primary school mathematics. In this paper, we discuss how to apply the software GSP to teach mathematics in primary school and suggest some examples fur the creative and active loaming. Moreover, we give the efficient teaching method for the primary school mathematics.

  • The purpose of the study is to devise syllabus in which traditional textbooks were rearranged by van Hiele Level theory and van Hiele instruction step 5 was applied to syllabus which used computer software, GSP especially in step 2 for students who studied properties and relations of the figure. Another purpose is to analyze the van Hiele Level distribution and find out how significant improvement syllabus based instruction could make compared with the traditional classes using textbooks. The results of the study revealed that more than half of the students were less than Level 1 in the comparative group but more than half of the students have reached Level 3 in the experimental group. And improvement of van Hiele Level was significant in syllabus based classes compared with traditional classes using textbooks by the Welch-Aspin tests and Chi-squared tests.

Genetic Differences and Variation in Two Purple Washington Clam (Saxidomus purpuratus) Populations from South and North Korea

  • Genomic DNA samples isolated from geographical purple Washington clam (Saxidomus purpuratus) were obtained from two different regions in Korean Peninsula: Gunsan (Gunsan population; GSP), and Haeju (Haeju population; HJP), a collection area in the vicinity of the West Sea. The seven arbitrarily primers, OPA-07, OPA-09, OPA-18, OPA-20, OPC-03, OPC-06 and OPC-09 were shown to generate the total loci, loci observed per primer, shared loci by each population, specific, and polymorphic loci which could be clearly scored. We also generated the unique shared loci to each population and shared loci by the two populations in purple Washington clam. The size of the DNA fragments also varied wildly, from 50 to 2,400 bp. Here, 304 total loci were identified in the GSP purple Washington clam population, and 282 in the HJP: 91 polymorphic loci (29.9%) in the GSP and 47 (16.7) in the HJP. 198 shared loci, with an average of 28.3 per primer, were observed in the GSP population. The decamer primer OPA-07 generated the shared loci by the two populations, approximately 1,000 bp, between the two Saxidomus populations. The oligonucleotide primer OPC-03 also generated the shared loci by the two populations, approximately 500 bp and 1,000 bp, in GSP population from Gunsan and HJP population from Haeju. The other primer, OPC-06 generated the shared loci by two Gomphina populations (approximately 400 bp). The dendrogram, generated by seven reliable primers, indicates three genetic clusters. The dendrogram obtained by the seven primers indicates three genetic clusters: cluster 1 (GUNSAN 01-GUNSAN 02), cluster 2 (GUNSAN 03-GUNSAN 11), and cluster 3 (HAEJU 12-HAEJU 22). The genetic distance between the two geographical populations ranged from 0.043 to 0.506. Especially, the longest genetic distance displaying significant molecular differences, 0.506, was found to exist between individuals GUNSAN no. 11 of Gunsan and HAEJU no. 17 of Haeju.
